För att komma till sluttningarna: det finns en stig (höger till vÀgen) frÄn huset genom trÀden till South Ridge parkeringsplats. Eller vÀlj att köra 2/10 mil till South Ridge Lodge, som Àr Sunday River's main lodge. Hur som helst Àr detta ett av de nÀrmaste enfamiljshusen till spÄren! BelÀget pÄ South Ridge finns The Foggy Goggle Restaurant and Bar samt skidskolan, skidbutiken och cafeterian. Trails End Restaurant och Tavern ligger dessutom inom gÄngavstÄnd, liksom Mountain Grocer.

Five-star ski location

Lovely property, well equipped. Everything in good condition and stylish, to boot! The owner was very responsive and made us feel welcome. Great rental!

Timberline Chalet is terrific!

Timberline Chalet is a fantastic house for family ski trips. Our extended family with five adults and six kids had an idyllic long weekend. Location next to Sunday River can't be beat! Living room is great with beautiful views of the woods and gas fireplace. TV Room is very comfortable. Separate spaces make the house perfect for families - plenty of room to spread out. Game and bunk room provided hours of fun off the slopes for the kids. Beds new and cozy. Kitchen well stocked for cooks. Owners made a last minute trip easy. We will definitely return!

Great house. Amazingly helpful owners!

Sara was absolutely fantastic. She was always readily available for any and all questions or advice. It was our first time in Maine from NJ. The house was clean and in great condition and was spacious for our big family of 12. One single note I would make is the upstairs loft was unbearable with the summer heat and humidity. The kids were unable to sleep or even hang out in that area the entire time we were at the house. Sara suggested fans but none of us could fight the unusual heat (90's) we got during our stay. Something to keep in mind if you are visiting during the summer months.

Amazing house on the mountain

Sara was an incredibly thoughtful and responsive host and the house is beautiful and in a great location with a short walk to Sunday River. We would absolutely stay here again.

Can’t beat the location!

My family and I rented this house, which was a lot closer to the mountain than I originally expected. The treck to south ridge was easily made by my 5 and 6 year old. The house itself was great. Clean, cozy, and plenty of space. Lots of bedrooms to choose from, ample parking, and close to stores for those last minute trips! I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

Weekend getaway

The house was wonderful for a weekend get away! Close to the river, hiking, and restaurants! Owner was very nice and helpful! Would defiantly rent again in the future!

I want to go back!

Excellent house, pictures don’t do it justice! More than enough space for a large group, and a perfect path to the mountain to avoid the busy weekend parking. The owner Sara let us check in early which was amazing! There is a free shuttle bus from the mountain that runs all night so we were able to go to the Matterhorn ski bar without driving, the bus driver even made our group a new bus stop at the end of the night and dropped us off right at the house. We didn’t want the weekend to end, what a great place! Thank you Sara and vrbo for a great experience :)

Proximity Can’t be Beat

The epitome of a family ski house - plenty of space for folks to find a comfortable nook to relax after a long day of skiing. Property was just recently purchased and the new owners are in the process of upgrading so I expect it will only get better. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with new rugs and mattresses. Noise travels easily throughout so recommend using ear plugs or ski a few extra runs so everyone is so tired they pass out. :-) Proximity could not be better. It’s a short walk out the back door to the base of the mountain. Even the kids had a little trouble walking in their ski boots with skis and poles in hand. It was also great to be able to come back for lunch and relax for a few before heading back for the afternoon. As an added bonus, on certain nights you can watch the (Sunday River) fireworks from the living room couches or wraparound porch. All in all, we had a great time and the owners could not be more helpful or accommodating with questions.

Our dream to own a ski house close enough to the mountain to be part of the community (and to be able to walk to the lifts) came true in 2019. Our home had great bones but had not been updated since it was built in 1979 (orange shag everywhere!).

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We fell in love with the chalet because it easily and comfortably accommodates hang-out time, cooking/dining and sleeping for large groups of our family and friends. The proximity to the lifts is not enjoyed by many single family homes so we couldn't pass it up!
