Great family vacation

This property was perfect for our beach week in northern Michigan with our adult children. The home was lovely, clean, well-stocked, and conveniently located to Sleeping Bear National Park, several wineries, shopping, golf, and hiking. We definitely hope to return next summer.

Perfect Lake Michigan vacation home

Thank you for yet another wonderful vacation. The homes location on the bay afforded beautiful views with its private beach and a central location for all our families activities on the peninsula. The management team could not be better and assured a well kept home with very quick communications for all needs.

Excellamt as always

Think it has been 8 uears we have been going late summer early fall. Think we missed a year maybe. But as previous reviewd of mine stated that this is a must stay if you are planning a visit and your able to do so. Except for when i want to go : ) 10 star out of 5 possible for location, views and enviroment!

Family Vacation

Family had a great time, property is 100% as described. Would absolutely stay again. House is very close to the beach, so no huge hill with 100 steps like most family sized homes on Lake Michigan.

Home away from home

From the booking process, to our planning and stay; our trip was so so wonderful! Tonie was so wonderful and unbelievably timely with all communication! She even called the morning of check out to make sure we were ok and didn’t need anything. We can’t wait to stay again!

Great home on Good Harbor Bay

Beautiful house right on the water, more than enough room for our family of five. Enjoyed swimming right at the property and also an easy drive to Glen Arbor where we were able to canoe, bike, dune climb and enjoy restaurants (with appropriate social distancing). First time life has felt relatively normal in about 4 months.

Beautiful house and location

As advertised. Had a wonderful time. House was locked when we arrived, but the agent responded quickly to our phone call and got us in. House is listed as having room for 10, but after we changed our reservation from 6/7 to 9, we were told that they try to to rent to less than that number, so perhaps capacity is slightly overstated, although there are beds for 10 and plenty of room. When we changed our reservation from 6/7 to 9, we had to pay an extra $500. But they would not have known about the change if we had not informed them ahead of time. Other minor complaints - house had only one extra garbage bag and only one dishwasher detergent pod, so we had to buy more of those. All in all a very good experience with minor glitches.

Lake MI Dream Location

Plenty of room throughout the home. Great feature with a sandy back yard leading down to the beach and Lake MI with hoses to rinse off before entering the home. Great beach walk in both directions. Great view on all three levels. Wonderful for sunsets, sunrises, and storm watching. Loved that there were vacuum cleaners on all 3 levels for quick clean ups. The hostess is totally awesome and was quick to respond to all my queries. Home was clean with supplies to tidy up before leaving. Plenty of chairs for around the firepit. Thanks for the package of fire starters to begin our week. We have already booked this for next year and plan on making this a yearly trip. Would love a 2 week back to back stay instead of 1 week! Thank you for sharing your home. Only suggestion is maybe have someone remove the bug carcasses from the windows.

Awesome Views

This home is just beautiful with views from every area of the house. The sunsets were so amazing. Despite the water level of Lake Michigan being at record high levels - the upper beach provided lots of fun for the kids to play in the sand and the fire ring was nice for evening campfires to watch the beautiful sunsets. House was very clean and very well stocked with everything you need. Location is great with many great areas close by to explore including Leland, Northport, Sutton Bay and Glen Arbor. Sleeping Bear Dunes provided lots of hiking opportunities and great golf courses nearby as well. I would recommend this home for a great vacation spot! Tonie was a great host and replied to all our questions very quickly. This is the first time I rented a place with "NO CANCELLATION" clause which made me nervous; but all turned out well.

Beware! Misleading Listing

Pros: The house is beautiful and clean and the view of Lake Michigan is unparalleled. Cons: THERE IS NO WATER ACCESS. Claiming "we have a beach" is entirely misleading; while there is sand, there is no way to enter the water aside from a dangerous climb over rocks. As a result, we were only able to look at the lake, rather than enjoy it. Also, the kitchen is very poorly stocked as it lacks basic cooking utensils, silverware and plates appropriate for a vacation rental. Finally, the fact that no "consumables" are provided -- to include any toilet paper or any dishwasher detergent -- is not only ridiculous but is not made clear up front. Arriving at a pricey rental to find partial rolls of toilet paper cut in half with a knife is shocking. The owner/landlord is unpleasant and difficult to communicate with (bordering on rude) and her attempts to impose additional restrictions upon arrival were illegal. We left disappointed by the experience and fearful that getting our safety deposit back would require litigation.

Great Family Vacation

Our whole family loved staying here. It is spacious & well-appointed. And the Lake Michigan views are stunning and proximity to the beach is excellent. Will definitely return.

Wonderful house right on the lake

We loved our stay! Perfect location on the water. Terrific house with plenty of room for our family vacation. Did not need the air conditioner as we left the windows open for the sound of the water and the nice breeze.

Amazing location and house

We have been staying at this house for years and we never want to stay anywhere else. Perfect location, with the lake right at your feet. There is so much space in the house and the basement has foosball, air hockey, and ping pont tables. Everything is clean and the host is easily accessible. Definitely our favorite family vacation home and we hope to continue to come here years and beyond.

Summer Memories made Up North

Another year at the “M22” House, as our Family calls it…and it was WONDERFUL! Our Family made lots of new Memories in this Beautiful Home on the Lake. Lots of time spent walking the Beach and looking at rocks, floating out in the Lake, and chatting/laughing by the Camp Fire every night. This property is a great “Host” when it comes to waterfront views/access and beautiful sunsets! We look forward to making more memories here in the future!!

Perfect location

We are a group of 9-10 women who spend a week up north every summer to kayak, paddle board and fellowship. This house was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything functioned well and was clean when we arrived. There were a few lights burned out and Tonie drove an hour to bring us light bulbs. Great service! We used the fire pit a couple of times and the beach was great. The view is spectacular! The location is about 4miles south of Leland and a great location for exploring the whole peninsula. If I had one negative I’d say the living room furniture is a little tired and worn and there’s no smart TV so don’t plan on using your Netflix or Prime account for a movie night. But there is a beautiful sunset every night to enjoy. We will be returning next summer for sure!

Beautiful Amazing and peaceful

Top to bottom great location! It's right between Sleeping bear dunes, Glen Arbor, Fishtown and Leland. Close to so many other wonderful locations and destinations for say trips It is always nice to stay on site as well, or enjoy the return home as much as the day trip. Watching the sun go down over pyramid point in the fall is truly a site to see. This was our third time staying in this home and we hope to return again in 2022. Highly recommended!

Great location to access all the wonders of spectacular Leelanau.

Spectacular views of the Manitous. Fantastic sunsets. Great home. Well furnished with more things then you can do. Perfect location from which to tour Leelanau Wines, bike great trails, gather with friends while sharing in meal preparations.

Wonderful Vacation!

We had a wonderful trip! Beautiful location, wonderful sunset view from the rocking chairs on the deck and the sounds of waves right out the window. The water was still and calm the first day and then lots of waves after a storm blew through. So fun to enjoy the lake in her different moods. You need to navigate a few stone steps down to the rocky shore, but no problem for our nimble school aged kids. We adults even joined in and loved the sandy, warmer water about 10yds off shore. Lots of petoskey stones! House was wonderful, everything we needed including dishwasher/w/d. Kids loved the air hockey and foosball tables and room to play. Beds were comfortable. Fantastic location close to TC, sleeping bear, Glen Arbor, Sutton’s Bay, Leland and all the wineries. A fantastic end to summer and all the kids are asking to go back!
