We had an excellent stay! Mike was so helpful and very easy to communicate with! Everything we needed was there for us. They left us a very sweet welcome gift in honor of our son who is in the National Guard. Would recommend!

Great place for a little getaway

Rented for a family outing in Rice Lake, WI. The setup was perfect for our family. Very nice lake and a neat area. Cabin was right on the lake with a small dock to do some fishing. The host was friendly and got back to us right away on any questions. Would definately stay there again!

Great little cabin for the family

Wonderful hosts and great location. We enjoyed the cabin over the 4th of July. Had fun fishing and swimming off the dock. Great deck to look out upon the lake. Rented a boat from Chetek that worked out great - they delivered. Highly recommended for the price!

The property manager was excellent with communication. We had everything we needed for our stay. The dock size was a little smaller than expected but worked out ok in the end.

Clean and Quiet

The Cottage was very clean and it was very quiet during our stay. The water is right there and the fishing good. The kitchen is a good size with everything we needed. The neighborhood is very friendly and we really had a relaxing pleasant time.

Nice Location, Great Hosts

We enjoyed our stay at the lake. The location was nice, the house was clean, and the hosts were very helpful. Only giving 4 stars because the property could use some updates/extra touches for the weekly rate we paid (e.g., updated railings, patio furniture on the deck besides wood benches, etc.)

PROPERTY

The property is in need of updating, we understand it is not a new house but updates could be done. the out door furniture on in the back is old and the plastic chairs were discolored and dirty. the weeds were grown up around the bricks and the house. the living room furniture is bad. there is a couch which is not in good shape, sags when you sit on it and just one chair. the second bathroom is VERY small. the deck area railing was not safe even though there is signage not to lean on it. and the fencing is not attractive. it says in the description that the stairs to the dock are steep but the railing on the stairway is not stable. the location was fine but I wound not rent it again. We were expecting better for the price and why there is an extra charge for the evolve company is too high. I have no idea what value they added

Great stay!

This was a perfect place for our extended stay. Mike, the owner, was very thoughtful and even made a trip to the property to turn an outside light on when our arrival was delayed. The home had everything we needed; a great home away from home. Beautiful sunset views and a short drive to town. Thank you, we hope to return!

Great stay!

We stayed at this lake house while moving my Mom to Memory Care. It was clean, right on the lake and close to shopping and restaurants. Mike, the owner was great to work with and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. We’ll definitely be back!

Relaxing in lake beauty

Very nice but the lake access was not user friendly for an 83 yr-old. I believe that the on-line photo of a fising rod in the garage with no access to the garage was misleading or I did not understand it. I had hoped to sit by the lake and fish. I did enjoy the upper deck.

Clean and comfortable

Communication with host was great. They even gave us recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. Cabin was clean and everything was in working order. As others (and theisting) has mentioned lakefront access is limited to small pier and steps next to boat house. Very shaded shoreline. Trees on shoreline also make it difficult to cast. Boathouse was a fun spot to sit and watch the lake! Sunsets were amazing. If they rent this in the winter this would be an ideal ice fishing spot!

Comfortable and enjoyable

This place had everything needed. My wife and four kids (ages 18months - 8yrs) enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room and all the essentials were ready for use. Very nice place, pet friendly, with great hosts. Will definitely stay again!

Hockey Tournament

Great Getaway

Rented the property for a 3 night family getaway to do some fishing and just hanging out. Had 5 adults and one pre-teen. Layout of the house was perfect for our group. Deck and boat house off the back of the house was a great plus. Gorgeous sunsets. Caught a couple of small Muskies, half a dozen large Bass, and dozens of Bluegill. Only downside was the limited frontage to the lake. There is a small dock and a set of steps amongst the trees that provides enough room for only 3 people to fish at the same time. Other than that, everything was just as we had expected.

Relaxing Stay

We had a nice relaxing stay. The house is very roomy if you have a larger group. The patio and boathouse walkout were nice, you sit right on the lake! We enjoyed Lehmans Supper Club, and the Marketplace grocery store was great and close by. Side note, the lake is a very busy lake, lots of tubers/skiers and high fishing pressure - depending on what type of experience you're after this is helpful info!

Rice Lake Vacation

Last minute booking but what a great place. The deck over the boat house area is a great place for reading or enjoying your morning coffee. We were not able to rent a boat, but did have a jet ski. There was not much traffic on the lake which was great. It made for a very peaceful week. Did well fishing from the dock but the dock is narrow and that worked well for one person. Overall, very relaxing, everything worked great. I would note that if you have knee issues or don't manage stairs well be aware that the steps to the dock either inside or outside are rather steep just to use caution. The owners have a note of warning, so that was a great heads up. Towels, soap, etc. was all included which made packing easier. We didn't use the air conditioner for most of the week but when the high temps and humidity set in our last night it was nice to have. Great vacation spot.
