Stugan "Gatekeeper" är vår första nya struktur här vid Stonehaven. Insidan av bottenvåningen är helt färdig och vacker! Det finns en naturstenspis i vardagsrummet, ett fullt utrustat kök, ett badrum på bottenvåningen och ett halvt bad i sovloftet. Man måste kunna klättra upp trappsteg till sovloftet. Gästerna är välkomna till vandringsleder och utomhus i vår 40 tunnland stora egendom.

Utrymmet
Apple-kartor är korrekta för att komma till Stonehaven Cottages, men google maps håller fortfarande på att placera vår adress korrekt på deras system. Vår stuga är rökfri. Om du röker är du välkommen att röka ute på vår veranda som lindar runt hela fronten av stugan eller var som helst utomhus där rök inte påverkar andra. Fyrverkerier av alla slag är strängt förbjudna på fastigheten.

Sjön
Tuscobia sjön är en vacker vårmatad vildmarkssjö. Under sommarmånaderna är mest av sjön väldigt ogräsig och passar bäst för kanot, roddbåtar och kajaker. Den norra änden av sjön är emellertid 24 meter djup med mycket mindre ogräs, och våra gäster kan ta en mil eller så en pontongresa ner till det slutet och simma bort från pontonen. Sjön själv syns från stugens främre veranda, men det är ungefär en kvarts promenad till vårt bryggaområde. Det finns också flera lägereldar som har utsikt över sjön för våra gäster att njuta av.

Gäståtkomst
Gästerna har hela huvudnivån och sovloftet för sig själva och kan också använda någon av våra vandringsleder och lägereldar i hela den 40 tunnland stora fastigheten. Vi har också en ponton, paddling, kanot och roddbåt som kan hyras på Tuscobia sjön av någon av våra gäster. När promenadkällaren är klar i avlägsna framtida gäster har tillgång till det området också, vilket kommer att lägga till ytterligare sovplats och ytterligare 3/4 badrum. Källaren är oupptagen medan gästerna bor hos oss.

Som ägare bor vi på fastigheten så om du behöver något är vi bara ett telefonsamtal bort. En av oss finns nästan 100% av tiden.

Andra saker att notera
Regelbundna priser på $ 150 per natt på helger (fredag och lördag) och $ 125. 00 per natt på veckokvällar (sol. -Thurs.). Lördag kvällar kan ljudet från Rice Lake Speedway höras. Speedway är ute en mil bort och ljudnivån varierar beroende på vindriktningen.

Another Great Getaway

This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall.

Multigenerational Family Trip

Myself, my daughters and my grandchildren all enjoyed our stay at Stonehaven's, Gatekeeper Cottage for our annual trip. We enjoyed everything about the property. The cabin itself and the property were very special. We enjoyed our pontoon ride during which we saw several eagles flying overhead and even diving for a fish, there were multiple herons and a loon who stayed nearby diving and popping up. We highly recommend this rental getaway.

We stayed two nights on an atv trip. Cabin is really unique especially for kiddos. they loved the loft and spiral staircase. We made good use of the walking trails on the property and the fire pit out back. Kitchen was well stocked and whole place was warm and cozy. Hit some peak fall color and got some great pics down by the lake. We will be returning! Cabin right on the atv trail!

This place is great! We loved it!

The Gatekeepers Cottage was fabulous! It was even better then what the pictures showed. Such a great use of all the space and beautifully decorated. The owners checked in on us shortly after arrival to see if there was anything we needed and to point out the different activities available to us. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out and hanging out on the front porch. We would definitely stay here again - possibly in the winter after learning that the snowmobile trails are just across the road.

Amazing girls weekend!

Girls weekend at the cottage was amazing! Ted and Lori were so helpful and kind. And the cottage was beautiful, we slept comfortably for the 6 of us. They have everything you need and more, with instructions for whatever you could think to ask about. We went out on the lake and it was very peaceful, beautiful weekend for weather wise. Loved that there were bathrooms and bedrooms on every floor. Decor was amazing, and kitchen was stocked well. Overall an amazing property! Would book again 😁

Beautiful cottage

Cottage was beautiful and clean. The upstairs bedroom is not ideal due to the ladder and the room gets very warm even with a/c set at a comfortable level. I will say the owners have everything you need there for you. If enjoying the lake is what you desire then this may not be the place for you as the algae on the lake was thick as carpet. Cottage is very quaint with all the refurbished antiques. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Pretty location, nice home.

We enjoyed our stay - the property is very unique and the owners were kind and helpful. Everything was clean, instructions were provided where needed and were very clear, and the house was well-equipped. The only negative is that it is difficult to get to either level where the beds are. The ladder staircase is a little scary, and the spiral staircase is very tight and tricky to manuever if you are carrying anything (like a suitcase). But I would stay there again if I was in the area!

Great Stay!

There were 8 of us adults that stayed at the cottage for a girls weekend. Our stay was fantastic and relaxing. With two levels and the loft, we were easily able to accommodate everyone for comfortable sleeping arrangements and had plenty of room. The host Lori quickly answered any questions that we had. Would highly recommend staying at Stonehaven!

Enchanting cottage

We had a fabulous girls weekend. The cottage was outstanding. The description of the cottage was spot on but there were so many special touches. The living spaces, bedrooms were so beautifully decorated, so comfortable. Absolutely loved the bathrooms, quaint and unique decorations, water pressure was lovely. The pulley for luggage was amazing, unfortunately we found out after dragging the luggage up that this was available. Someone was extremely clever when setting this cottage up, it was amazing, we will certainly be back.

What a great place! Five stars!

This cottage was perfect for our group of eight! Price was reasonable and access to local area (nature and in-town) was so close! Of all the rentals I have stayed in, this place was was the best equipped, most home-like, and the most relaxing. The hosts were incredibly helpful with any questions and proactive with things to do and know about the cottage. We’ll be back for sure!

Owners, Ted and Lori have both been Rice Lake residents all of their lives. Ever since they were first married they had both dreamed of one day owning a resort and are thrilled that their dream is coming to fruition.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Stonehaven Cottages is a year round family oriented resort located on beautiful Tuscobia Lake with 40 pristine acres of wilderness to explore! We currently have three cottages available with more to come! Most of the cottages are tucked into tranquil private settings overlooking the lake. Recreational opportunities on and /or near the property include: hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching, boating cross-country skiing, and nearby snowmobiling and ATV trails. We are located right next to the Wild Rivers State Trail, and the Tuscobia State Trail is less than 2 miles north of the resort.
