Oceanfront 3 sovrum Villa 1 minuters promenad till "Mile-Long" Beach

Ewing House ligger på en sluttning, 60 meter över havet, gränsar till havet på två sidor och har utsikt över den 'mil långa' Long Bay Beach. Från alla sovrum och gemensamma rum kan du se ett antal andra öar, de mest kända är Jost Van Dyke och St. Thomas medan han njuter av utsikten över oändliga segelbåtar, olika fåglar och fiskar i vattnet under. Du är en 3 minuters promenad till vattnet när stranden börjar vid foten av vår uppfart - cirka 50 meter från vårt hus. Vi är ett av bara ett fåtal hus på ön som verkligen ligger precis på en användbar strand. Detta är en mycket vacker strand, som du kanske känner igen eftersom vår uppfattning ofta visas på kalendrar och andra publikationer om Karibien. Vi känner att vi har den vackraste utsikten på ön. Andra måste känna på samma sätt som vi har haft ett par att ta huset i en månad varje år i 25 år och ett antal andra par som har kommit i området om fem år eller mer.

Ewing House ligger vid Tortolas West End och har gångavstånd till utmärkta stränder för solbad, bad, snorkling och surfing. West End har många utmärkta restauranger, ett antal löpnings- / vandringsslingor längs havet, tennis och segling samt dykning med dykning som avgår från närliggande Soper's Hole. Naturligtvis kan man också bara läsa i skuggan av verandan eller sola och titta på vågorna rulla förbi. Huset har 3 sovrum, alla med samma utsikt och storlek. Vi hade hyrt många hus och i allmänhet blev någon besviken när deras rum var mindre. Varje sovrum har eget badrum och omklädningsrum. Medan vi föredrar takfläktar och öppna fönster, har sovrummen nu också luftkonditionering så att du har valet.

Huset har daglig städservice och piga får alltid bra recensioner. Dion Stoutt förvaltar vårt hus. Han har varit en av våra grannar och vän i många år. Han är mycket lätt att hantera och har en fantastisk kunskap om ön. Både han och piga kan hjälpa dig med eventuella problem eller frågor du kan ha. Det finns så många saker att göra på ön och färjeturer till många andra öar är möjliga. Vi besöker alltid minst en annan ö varje gång vi är där.

Beautiful beach house!

The house was perfect for our two families including two teenagers and 4 adults. Beach access and the beautiful view could not be beaten and the host and house manager were extremely helpful and responsive.

Oh what a VIEW!!!!

The view from the balcony is hands down breathtaking! The location and beach access is superb. The house had 3 ensuite bedrooms and an efficient floor plan.

View to die for

We loved our stay and the view after walking in front door never gets old. Were able to walk to our favorite beach (Smugglers Cove) and local restaurants. Sebastian’s and both restaurants at Long Bay resort were all very much enjoyed. Would highly recommend.

Ewing House hit the mark

We had a group at Long Bag Beach resort. Ewing House location was perfect to meet friends at the resort. we simply walked down the driveway and to the beach; 5 min walk max. House is very clean and the view is perfect.

We had a fantastic time. The house is in a great location. The views are amazing. The host was very prompt when I had questions and was very helpful with information about the house, restaurants, directions & car rentals. The house was clean, kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, beach access, great restaurants at the end of driveway. Christine the house manager made sure the house was clean and refreshed with linens.

Another Great Stay

I honestly don’t know how many times we have stayed at Ewing House. The views are wonderful and sunsets are often spectacular. The beach is very accessible and walkable. We highly recommend a stay.

Unable to enjoy view most of stay in April

We were not told about how hot main living area as air conditioning is only in bedrooms. The sun is so strong you can only tolerate deck with view early am and late pm. Also share driveway with another house and found ourselves blocked a few times. Septic backed up and could not do laundry or shower for 2 days. Seems being a rental they should check tank as it was full.

Tortola Retreat

Wonderful home in wonderful location. Beautiful view of long bay and Jost. Silky sand beach steps away. As well as two great restaurants. Shady 30 minute trek to Smugglers Cove, with nice snorkeling, calm waters and beach bars. Home has 3 king bedrooms with en suites, nice patio and decks, and good kitchen for meals at home. Great place!

A Gem in Paradise

The property is beautiful, overlooking beauty, with such a kind, helpful and beautiful housekeeper - Christine. The trending word in my review is obvious- beautiful. Our stay at the Ewing house Tortola BVI 12/23-1/1/17

Overall very nice and comfortable house for 4 adult and 2 kids. Good and convenient location to all nice beaches and attractions . House keeper arrived Daily to clean she was very attentive. Only problem, was challenging to find the house when arriving at darkness.

Couldn't have been better!

We had the pleasure of spending a week at the Ewing House. It was spectacular! The house itself is amazing. There was plenty of space for the six of us and it was immaculate and well stocked . We spent every morning sipping coffee, while looking off the deck at the turtles swimming in the turquoise, crystal water. Days were spent lounging on the beach that is only steps away from the house. Mimi was responsive to anything we asked about or needed. I would recommend Ewing House to anyone looking for a truly relaxing, 5 star vacation. We can't wait to go back!!!!

Great Time in the BVI!

We are 3 couples in our 60's visiting Ewinging House for the second time. The house is in a perfect location, right above the beach. We ate out almost every night; our favorites were Tropical Fusion, Bananakeet, Sebastians and Sugar Mill. We used Stouts Taxi service and Murlises Taxi. The beach had changed a bit since our last visit in 2016. The ocean was very rough and there was coral in the water so be careful where you walk. We spent a day at Smugglers Cove where the water was much calmer. Had drinks and wonderful hot dogs at Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar! In all, we had a wonderful stay. We didn't want to go home.

Ewing house at Long Bay

Heaven! Okay, more details. My wife and I returned to Long Bay for the first time in 40 years. We stayed at the old Long Bay Resort (now rebuilt) and the new resort looks sensational. We elected to stay at Ewing house for the kitchen and additional room and we were not disappointed. Great view of the beach and surrounding islands. The sunset was front and center on the deck of the house every afternoon. Truly a short walk to the beach. Christine, the housekeeper/welcoming committee/and more was priceless. We had ordered groceries ahead of our arrival and Christine put them away for us. We alternated eating at Tropical Fusion and 1748 and had great meals. Lunch or dinner at Sebastian's at the Beach was on our plan but we didn't make it there. I recommend Jerry's Car Rental which is a small local company but tremendous service. If you are renting a car and are not familiar with Tortola, print a map with good directions as there are no signs with street names or other indicators. Also do not plan to rely on GPS on your phone unless you get a phone that works on the island. Ewing house has three bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms so having the house for just my wife and myself seemed like we were not making proper use of the space so maybe soon we will return with family. Communication with the homeowner was great and helpful. We highly recommend Ewing house although we would prefer to keep it a secret so it would be certain to be available for us.

Do We Have to Leave?

My family of four so enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Ewing House. What a special place on this planet, views were over the top gorgeous, loved our walks to the beach, Tropical Fusions and the resort. The locals on Tortola are the kindest and most lovely people. Enjoyed days on Long Bay, hanging with Nigel at Smugglers Cove (so convenient and an amazing beach), soaking in the sun and sounds at Cane Garden, and a super easy and fun day to Jost. Great local restaurants to boot.

Must be one of the best views in the world!

We stayed there seven years ago before the hurricane. We were a bit concerned on what we would find, but the house is in excellent shape. We had a wonderful time ambling on the beaches snorkeling right out in front of the house and in smugglers cove. The memories from this wonderful place will be forever in your mind once you visit.

Paradise!

We had such an amazing time in beautiful Long Bay and this villa was the perfect place for our family! The views were unmatched and we didn’t really need to ever leave the whole week. I had to force my family to leave and explore just a bit because everyone was perfectly content to just stare at the gorgeous scenery. The beach was gorgeous and very secluded, and a super short walk to the end of the driveway. 2 great restaurants and a bar right on the beach. Several other great restaurants within a 10-15 min walk, or just grill and make food at the house. We found this location to be very accessible to everything on the island and hope to be back. And Christine was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our questions. You will never regret staying in this wonderful paradise!!

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

We had an amazing vacation! The pictures don’t even do it justice. The house is beautiful and Long Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. We came here to celebrate our 21st anniversary and my mother’s recovery after triple heart bypass surgery. We fell in love with Long bay and waking up to that amazing view every day! Christine was so nice and helpful. She is very knowledgeable of all things local and she will kindly give advice when asked. She even cooked rice and beans for us one day! There were beach chairs, board games we played one night with my two teens, and a new outdoor grille. My mom would take a chair and go down to the beach early everyday. My family had a wonderful time! (And your family will too :-) Thank you! Michelle

12 glorious days

Perfect location and home for our 3 couples. You won’t find a better vacation home this size on Tortola. The view is to die for and we actually purchased a small print of our view in one of the shops. Mimi has done a beautiful job of providing everything you need. Kareem with Perfection car rental was wonderful. He went far and beyond in helping us. We are owners of a VRBO property on the coast of SC and I can attest this is a perfect property.

We originally built the home as a family with my husband, myself, my sister and my mother. The house was managed by my mom who was a pediatrician in Ohio and although she died in 1994, the house is still sometimes referred to as Dr. Ewing's house. My family currently resides in the Connecticut . My children and grandchildren have each come to the island since they were a few months old. It is a great place for children as they can play in the house during the day and as the living room is open to the sea side, you had the feeling of being at the beach without the sun.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We first visited the island as a family in 1973 and left the island 9 days later having purchased our site. The island really opened to tourists in 1966 when a small bridge was built connecting the small island called Beef Island to Tortola and an airport was built on Beef Island. We were one of the very first non-native families to build on the island and feel that we bought a particularly beautiful sight. The beach literally starts at the bottom of the driveway. . We are in walking distance to a number of good restaurants and hotels with their amenities. As we are on a point, we have a lot of privacy and never run the risk of losing our view.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We do have the view that we have seen on many calendars. It was on the Costco brochure last year for cruise travel. My mother was once in the dentist chair and saw it on his calendar hanging before her. As I said, it is a very short walk to the beach. It is easy to pop down and have a swim. We do have beach chairs if you want to stay but we frequently just go down and swim and then come up and enjoy the comforts of the open house as the walk back and forth is so easy. We are very close to a number of good restaurants.
