This charming 2-bedroom Leadville home is the perfect getaway for family and friends. With upgraded appliances and flooring, you can enjoy this snug and warm mountain home whether the sun is shining for a hike or you’re getting ready for a snow day. Mt. Elbert Moon sits on the Eastern end of town and is within walking distance of the main street where dinner and shops await. Upon entry, you have the perfect mudroom with plenty of space to store your ski gear and wipe off your snowy boots. The living area is cozy and is the perfect common area for both bedrooms. A fully stocked kitchen and storage area leads to the backyard.

Just down the street are Leadville's beautiful NEW ice-skating rink and sledding on Dutch Henry Hill (skate and tube rental available at low cost). Cross-country skiing or snowshoeing on the Mineral Belt Trail is mere minutes from the house. The PERFECT location for your next winter or summer vacation is in the mountains of Colorado!

Close to the Leadville 100 start/finish, wonderful coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and the new brewery! Walk to the new dog park, the Huck Finn Skatepark, the National Mining Museum, and the Leadville Colorado Southern Railroad!

Cozy house, clean, well managed

This house was a nice place to stay, very comfortable with a large kitchen and plenty of beds. It was cool despite the heat of summer and quiet. Did not have a fenced back yard but plenty of areas to walk the dogs. Easy to check in and out.

Perfect for Leadville race series

Absolutely perfect spot for Leadville race series. Porch space made it easy to stash bikes safely inside at night. House was clean, beds were very comfortable and kitchen was stocked well. We absolutely plan on renting this property again for future races.

No frills slanted house

My family and 2 of my kids’ friends stayed at this property for a weekend. Despite it sleeping 6, the living room only has seating for 4, max. The second issue we had was with the shower- the controls are on the outside of the shower curtain which makes adjusting temp a challenge and the shower curtain clings to your body as you move around to wash your body. That was not a good experience, especially as it appears the shower curtain is not washed between stays. I felt super grossed out. And finally, when the heat kicks on it is super loud. If you’re a light sleeper, you may not sleep well. Otherwise, we felt everything else was good and as pictured.

Stayed for 3 week

The home served its purpose for my dog and I. It’s Leadville, all the homes are rather old with a lot of unique characteristics. Overall it was clean and everything functioned. Parking is tight. Neighbors are incredibly nice and walking distance to main st and trail networks. I stayed in the home for about 3 weeks in prep for Leadville 100

Don't be fooled

This house is very old and could use some upgrades. My family opted to not stay the second night as it just wasn't what were hoping it to be. The bed was uncomfortable, the shower leaked and the back yard was unkept. The property manager was easy to work with and took our concerns seriously. The electric fireplace was nice touch and helped to take the chill off as it was rainy and cool the night we stayed. We also enjoyed the shelf full of games available. If you choose this property be prepared for an old home with several quirks.

2nd stay

Family of 6 spent a week here for our ski trip. There’s nothing fancy but suits us fine. We did end up buying a small humidifier to help us sleep at night. No fault of the property just that dry mountain air. 1 bathroom can be challenging but we didn’t spend much time in the house so we didn’t have any issues. Great location and within walking distance of downtown. The family dollar across the street is very convenient and we loved having a crock pot in the kitchen.

1800’s build next to dollar store.

Our stay at the Vrbo in Leadville, Colorado, was terrible. From the beginning, the house felt like it could collapse at any moment. The bathroom area was not suitable for children, and the backyard grass was so overgrown that we couldn't even walk outside. The listing was completely misleading; for example, the photos showed a driveway, but there wasn't one. None of the door close properly and ever time you take a step the whole hose creeks and cracks

Vintage home in Leadville

Clean & convenient location. It is definitely an older home but has been modernized. We called it the wacky fun house because none of the floors are level and all of the door frames are crooked. Parking was limited to 1 car so keep that in mind before booking.

Comfortable House

The property is within walking distance of downtown Leadville. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and property manager was very accommodating when we needed a late checkout.
