The host was very responsive and communicative, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself has a long list of issues that were not addressed during my stay. To name just a few: the freezer is rusted, the water dispenser doesn’t work, the dishwasher needed replacement (with conflicting information between host and maintenance), and there was a strong gas smell in the washroom. The floors were dirty, the sofas are so old that the plush is coming out and sinking in, and the beds—stained and with deep sinkholes—were the biggest concern. I ended up sleeping on an air mattress in the living room.Other problems included a ceiling fan upstairs that looked ready to fall, a countertop split from the oven, and overall furnishings that are far past their usable life. It’s clear this is an older house that requires major updating. With investment and care, it could become a fantastic rental property, but as it stands, it needs significant work.

House was in a great location with quick access to both beach and shops. Pet Friendly. Great park for walking nearby. The only issues I had were a few roaches (2) and a slow moving drain in the downstairs main bathroom tub. I removed some hair clumps from the drain and it helped, but it still was not ideal. The deck out back was nice, but the yard itself was not well maintained.

We had a wonderful stay in the little yellow house. It was spacious for a family of four and a dog. The location was great, close to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed daily walks around the neighborhood.

Cockroach and dirty sheets in a great location

Very disappointed with the Cleanliness of the property. The check in at 4pm and the check out at 9am was very inconvenient. Fire detector was missing. The location of the house was ok.

Charming house

House was exactly as advertised. Easy to access. Not far from restaurants, grocery store, etc. only about 25-30 from NAS Pensacola. Would stay again if we are able to come visit before graduation. Loved the fenced in back yard and patio.

Week stay for fall break

Rented this property before so familiar with it. No problems in arranging rental. Procedures as advertised. Will rent again.

Yellow house!

We stayed and property for 3 nights, bought food to cook in stove so it would be quick and easy and couldn’t even use the stove to bake anything. The minute you turned on the oven it was instant gas smell. The 3 sinks would get Clogged right away, stopper in tub was broke, sand was all throughout the house as if it wasn’t cleaned before. The dishwasher leaked when we turned it on. The ice machine didn’t work. Paid all that money to constantly have issues.

Good place for us

We enjoyed time at the beach and also downtown Pensacola. Good location for both. Only problem we had was when hot water quit, which I quickly found was because the water heater had been left on "vacation". When I turned it back on, everything was fine.

Property was clean and appeared as advertised. Nice neighborhood and close to everything. Check in was a breeze and any questions asked were promptly answered. Would definitely stay here again. We had 5 adults and 4 kids and there was room for everyone.

Our stay was wonderful, the house was clean and neat. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood, safe for kids to play out front In drive way or in the backyard. The house had everything we needed while we were there. I would Definitely stay again. Stores and restaurants are close by aswell... Definitely a great place. We loved it

Easy stay

Staying here is just plain easy. We visit Pensacola every year and love the convenience of Gulf Breeze. The house was clean and spacious. Some essentials to get you started. Would recommend and stay again!

Terrible rental company / Poorly maintained rental

The rental had dirty floors and counters with dead bugs laying everywhere. The refrigerator had black water come out of its water dispenser. The sheets had sand in them, unclean. I had to sweep and mop the first floor myself. We just wore shoes or socks on the second floor with dirty carpet. The heat couldn't keep the place warm, like it isnt functioning correctly. When contacted Southern vacation rentals sent a generic automated response, no one showed up until two days into our stay ( the day before we left). It turned out the heater was totally broken after a service tech came out and would need replaced, nothing was offered by southern vacation rentals to compensate us for this inconvenience with temperatures dipping into the 40s and 50s at night. They replaced the water filter in the fridge and had a maid come change the sheets / vacuum the second floor. The deck was dirty on arrival, I had to clean debris off myself and the guy who was supposed to clean it showed up the second day. There was one dishwasher soap tab. There was no soap for the clothes washer, no hand soap for any bathroom or kitchen sink, no salt and pepper, barely any trash bags (two tiny ones for four days). The furniture is falling apart, glass table tops just sitting on a stand with nothing holding them on. Drawers barely open in bathrooms and on dressers. With a one year old we had to rearrange the first floor due to all the falling apart furniture so he wouldn't hurt himself. The living room cable TV box doesn't put out any sound, I had to bring a box from another room so that the family could watch TV together. Overall the experience has been very negative here, with barely any assistance from Southern vacation rentals. I will not recommend this rental company or any of it's properties to anyone I know.
