  • A Wonderful Place

"We absolutely love this condo. It is located at Rum Point. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. Staying at Rum Point is like being on and Island on an Island. Very quite place to stay. I enjoyed my early morning walks on the beach and on the docks. Took the kayak and bikes out every day. The view for the condo is absolutely breath taking. Star fish point was beautiful. If your looking for a great place to stay stay in 7-UP you won't be disappointed."

  • Perfect for a quiet, restful getaway - so glad we found it!

"This property is exactly as advertised: a charmingly furnished, well-equipped condo right on the beach, in a quiet, peaceful setting. It has practically everything you could want, including books, games, a cellphone, a 5-gallon jug of water, ceiling fans in every room AND the porch, and a TV with plenty of channels. Tammey sent us multiple e-mails with all kinds of information on what to see and do. It was incredibly quiet during our stay--at most we heard a few voices at the pool and just a bit of music from the Tuesday night barbecue next door. That barbecue is at Kaibo, a really good beach restaurant serving lunch, dinner, and a few light breakfast items that's literally right next door--couldn't be more convenient or fun! We thought the highlight of the unit is the screened porch right on the beach. We spent hours out there enjoying the lovely view, especially at sunset. We also liked being able to walk to Starfish Point (tip: we saw more starfish along the beach near our condo than at Starfish Point--just keep walking past Kaibo and you'll see them). Rum Point is a 3-minute drive away, or you could easily bike there. While we had a wonderful time and are already planning our next visit, this condo isn't for everyone. You're a 45-60 minute drive from the shopping, nightlife, and tourist attractions of George Town, Seven Mile Beach, and West End. If you're from the U.S. or Canada, driving a car with controls on the right side down the left side of the road requires extra vigilance. And if your idea of a vacation is not cooking, there are just four restaurants and one convenience store within a 15-minute drive. Tammey suggests stopping at a supermarket on your drive from the airport (or, for a fee, having Barbara do the shopping for you) and packing what food you can in your luggage (everything is pricier in the Caymans). We strongly agree. While this is beachfront property, it's not oceanfront. The unit is on a cove within Little Sound, which is off North Sound. So, while the water is clear, it's as still as a lagoon, there's a lot of seaweed, and the sand is sometimes coarse. Lovely to look at, but not the best for wading or swimming. This didn't bother us at all--there's a pool and whirlpool just steps away, and Starfish Point and Rum Point both have some seaweed-free spots. We're so glad we found this place, and we can't wait to go back!"

  • Fabulous stay on GCI

"This was my first trip to GCI. Hard to improve on all the other positive reviews on Frank and this property. Everything I read from others was right on, so I will add comments only on what I don't remember reading. Not having ever been to the island before I had some concern regarding access to groceries since the North shore is off the beaten path. This was not a problem at all and access was easier than I thought. I didn't bring snorkeling gear and didn't like the idea (expense) of renting gear for the family for the week. Not a problem as the villa had plenty to go around for the 4 of us (2 parents and 2 adult kids). Location was perfect! Franks recommendations were spot on, including hooking us up with Tom from Cayman Marine Labs for scuba diving. I'll review that experience separately but suffice it to say that it was 5 stars. We were not lacking for anything at the villa and recommend it highly if you are the kind of group that prefers quiet rather than the hustle and bustle. We went to the seven mile beach area a few times for dinner or touristy must-dos but were happy to leave it behind for Azure Breeze. Thank you Frank and Del!"

  • Perfect!

"We had the pleasure of staying here for 2 weeks! It was far and away soooooo much better than the pictures even show. Such a quiet and relaxing area! Many days we were the only ones on the beach! In the two weeks we were here, we really only went to the crazy "seven mile beach" area twice....and that was enough! You can't beat the peacefulness at Kaibo! The condo itself was SPOTLESS! It had everything one would need in the kitchen. The master bath had a great walkin closet to put our suitcases, etc in so they were out of the way. It really had a home feel to it. Actually, I WISH it was my home. This was our first time staying at a vrbo property and I heartily recommend it. It is so much better than staying in a cramped hotel room. Our daughter and her girlfriend met us for our second week and we all had room to stretch out!"
