  • Too much of everything!!

"We have traveled to SxM for years, this time we were four couples and 5 kids. We love Baie Rouge Beach and no one could believe such a location could be possible. One hundred steps to the beach, six bedrooms full of amenities and convenience was beyond expectations.Too much of everything- poolside chairs, towels, kitchen equipment, equipped bathrooms, videos, music system, books, anything you may need for a wonderful vacation. Caretaker Jonas very helpful and understanding- no one in our group will forget this stay, great value and family fun that provided too much of everything, just waiting to get back ASAP. Thanks Mark!!!"

  • Owner Helpful

"Great quiet beach location - and a short walk from excitement. Owner was helpful to make everything smooth for us. Facilities were very acceptable and clean. As advice: this is not a resort-like vacation spot and it's expected you look after yourself. Rental car is helpful but if necessary you can find most of what you need 1/2 mile down the beach."

  • Wonderful and relaxing place to stay!!!

"Mary's Boon is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax and be able to walk to the beach in 2 mins or less. My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this villa. It was clean and well appointed. The owner is very easy to work with and alway's answered my many questions right away. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. The staff was very accommodating and extremely nice. The beach is beautiful and we liked that the chairs and umbrella's were complimentary. We had all the amenities of the hotel even though the villa is privately owned. Our favorite thing to do was to get our coffee, walk out our door and onto the beach for a long walk. Normally we stay across the bay and go to a different beach each day since we really don't like the beach they have, but not here. We only left to go to a different beach on 2 days because we loved this beach so much. The planes were a bit loud the first day but after that you really don't pay attention to them unless it's the KLM 747 taking off. Then you just have to watch!! Lots of restaurants and night life in Simpson's Bay and Karakters restaurant is a walk down the beach. With the new causeway it was less than 10 minutes to Marigot or 20 to Grand Case. We went to Grand Case for Carnival Night on Tuesday and ate at LeTastivan. Excellent service and delicious food. They close off the street that night for vendors, dancers and music. A must if you come to the island. I would definitely recommend Mary's Boon to anyone that loves to relax and enjoy the beach!"

  • Quiet and relaxing. Nick and Gloria are wonderful hosts.

"My wife and I just returned from Mont Vernon on May 13th, and I'd return right now if someone offered. What a beautiful place to relax and unwind. This was our second trip to Saint Martin and our second stay with Nick and Gloria. Mont Vernon is quiet and away from most of the tourist attractions, which is great because you can get a feel for the island the way it really is. You will be on the French side during your stay, everyone speaks English, but you'll want to remember merci. The island is only 37 sq. miles so you can be in Phillipsburg, Marigot, or the airport in about 1/2 hour for dining, shopping, etc. Getting around the island is pretty easy once you get used to it. There is a main highway around the island with off shoots to various parts. It took this American a few days to get used to the roundabouts, but just follow along, it's easy. Dining is available for any kind of palate you have. The only downside to spending a week there is that you will have to leave and go home. Now, here is your plan: BOOK. THE. TRIP. When you arrive, rent a car. Go eat at Skip Jacks (or anywhere for that matter), head to The Grande Marche on Bush Road and get yourself some groceries (yes, they have PLENTY of food you'll recognize). Cruise around the island to Mont Vernon. Meet up with Gloria. Get checked in. Stow your food. Grab your swim suit. Follow the stone path to the pool. Kick your flip flops off. Go through the gate to the beach. Spread out your towel. Sit down. Take a DEEP breath. Relax. You're on island time now. Let the ocean breeze carry your troubles away. Thank You Nick and Gloria. Hope to see you soon."
