  • Awesome for the family

"We were very impressed with the house and the location. All 5 of our children had a blast, they loved taking the ferry over to the beach on their own. The house is just 6 or so housed away from the ferry on the same road. There are beach toys (Frisbee, Football, buckets, shovels, lots of little kids toys) and chairs already there for the kids/ adults and a little cart to tow them/ carry them to the beach. The washer and dryer are very convenient as well. They also have beach towels and a beach umbrella. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking pans, dishes, soap and dish towels. Satellite tv in the main bedroom and family room. The only toy we will bring from home when we do it again is a boogie board for the kids. We loved our stay and the owner (Robin) was a joy to work with."

  • Casa La Pina is Perfection!

"We are from Connecticut and selected this home because of the strength of its reviews and the Cape Cod architecture that we found familiar for obvious reasons. We were pleased to find that all the 5 Star reviews rang true. The Pineapple House, as we came to know it, is truly welcoming and an EXCEPTIONAL rental property in every way. As we got to know Balboa Island over the week, we learned just how special the location of this house truly is - its a very nice, short walk to the Main Street of the Island across a newly constructed bridge. It is also on a corner of the island which means it is just steps to the waterfront in multiple directions. It is close to town, without being too close (noise & smells) and the "Little Island" is better than the main island in a number of ways (no power lines, traffic, parking, noise, etc...). Plus we found the Little Island to be quaint and very family friendly. Once inside this house, everything is as described. This property feels like a home, NOT a rental property. As soon as you enter you clearly feel this is your home away from home. It is well maintained and very clean upon arrival, the kitchen is a dream and completely stocked for a gourmet chef, the furnishings are expensive, tasteful and just as important, comfortable; the beds & linens are like staying at a Ritz Carlton. It is clear the owners are trying to be the best, and at least in our minds, they are the best! Short of staying in a five-star hotel, we've not experienced anything comparable. This home would definitely be my first choice when staying at "Little" Balboa Island."

  • A weekend away...

"The accommodations were very comfortable and homey. We had some wi-fi issues which were eventually resolved. The only downside is the parking situation on the island which we really have no control. Rick and Christy"

  • Great location and very nice house! Would rent again!

"Everything was amazing. We had 4 adults so we had tons of room to relax. Short walk to Main Street and lots of stuff to do."
