  • Elegance and Class

"We spent Christmas in this home and can't convey in words the class, elegance and thoughtful detail the owners have in maintaining this Balboa Classic. The owners were immediately available for any questions.... kind, gracious and responsive. There were just the two of us, but the intimacy, fire places, quiet balconies, private patios were thoroughly enjoyed. I lived on the Island, Corona del Mar, and Laguna for 20 years and this is the best place and time I have ever had there! We hope to return to this home each year from the Chaos of Washington DC!"

  • Great Location

"First of all I have to say Bill and Robin are great, Robin answers you back by text right way with any questions or concerns you might have so that is always a major plus, the house was in a great location, so you could walk everywhere or just ride the ferry, one of the great things about the house is you have a spot in the garage because parking can be a bit of a bear with the street cleaning days so that was a major plus, now for the house the pictures on the internet do not do it justice the home was light and airy with that home away from home feel, with very comfortable beds, it also had a great kitchen to cook in. If you preferred not to cook then right out the front door not that far of a walk down the block to the ferry or downtown you could enjoy a nice meal out or have my favorites for desert the Balboa Bars or Salt Water Taffy. Thank You again Bill and Robin for having such a lovely beach home to share with everyone."

  • Perfect Location, quaint and kid-friendly

"We had a wonderful time on Balboa Island for Spring Break. The house was just perfect for us. Quaint and cute, with all the amenities you would need. It wasn't some grandeur palace that made me on guard with my 6 and 3 year old. The convenience to the ferry was a huge bonus, it also may have made us spend a few extra $$ on arcade games and rides for our kids : ). The house had everything you needed to enjoy a week away. It was the perfect beach bungalow style home that I remembered as a kid. You can feel the nostalgia inside from the family photos placed around the house. This is a home the Landis family cherishes - and shares with others to make their own wonderful memories. And we did just that...so thank you!"

  • Nice Place to spend a week.

"Stayed here with two adults and two kids. Bottom unit was perfect size with a plenty of room if any friends visit for the day. Very nice sized patio and within easy walking distance to the sand and walk. Two short blocks to the ferry and about a five-ten minute walk to the main street for the ever important Balboa Bars. Unit has super large closets in each bedroom (which they don't really tell you about) so you have a place to put all your bags and hang up your clothes. Furniture in unit is very nice and comfortable; owner says they are trying to find time to put a king sized bed into master bedroom but the queen was big enough for us. Definitely look to rent again when Balboa comes up on our destination list again."
