  • Vacation in paradise

"We had an amazing vacation on our recent trip to this house on Sanibel. The house is extremely spacious and the upstairs bathroom is big enough to be a bedroom. There are two porches which were great for unwinding after the kids went to bed. Outside, the pool is great and it was extremely nice having it all to ourselves. The yard is big enough for yard games if you so desire and the privacy is just amazing. Although there is one neighboring house, the dense (and incredibly beautiful) vegetation prevents anyone from seeing you around the pool area. When the sun went down, it felt like we were on a secluded island all by ourselves. The beach access is stunning and once again there were very few people on the beach. I'm used to vacationing with really crowded beaches, so this was a nice change of pace. The shelling just might be the best in the world and my kids loved finding new "treasures" daily. The dolphin sightings were frequent and they would even play with each other right near shore. The only slight issue was finding the correct pathway to the beach, but I never asked either. If you're into exploring nature, there are several trails in a preserve a short bike ride away. There were tons of shore birds and my kids loved seeing alligators. In summary, the house is amazing and I highly recommend it. The pictures don't do it justice as it's far better than what they portray. I hope come back sometime soon!"

  • Perfect!

"Jean is a wonderful host to a delightful cottage on Sanibel's East End. The cottage was absolutely the perfect place to stay for a month. It felt like home. Not a condo experience, instead, the cottage feels like living on the island. It is well stocked with everything and Jean is friendly, there to help or answer questions, and very accomodating, but then you are free to explore. You are easy walking distance to the bayside. Low tide especially is a good time to walk all around the tip of the island, see the fishing pier, the lighthouse, and over to the Gulf. There is direct access to the Gulfside, across the street. It is a further walk, but certainly easy enough. You can also walk to restaurants (breakfast at the Lighthouse Cafe or lunch at the East End Deli are both good) and shops. There are two nice bikes to help explore further. The pool area is close by, well maintained, and not busy. The back porch bedroom is quite cozy with a beautiful view of tropical plants. It really is a second bedroom just fine. The master bed is very comfortable. The air conditioner works well. The kitchen is small, yes, but cute and easy to use and well-equipped. The front porch is perfect for coffee in the morning, but so is the tropical breakfast nook. Really, you can't go wrong. I wanted to stay forever. If you are looking for a home away, Casa Blanca cottage is perfect!"

  • Heaven on earth!

"First let me say that my husband and I LOVE Sanibel Island and it was a life long dream to spend a month there after we retired. This home was the absolute PERFECT place for us. Close to the beach, yet completely private nestled in the trees. It was just as described in the listing and was very clean. So wonderful to have a washer and dryer to use as well. The house itself was also perfect. The size and floor plan allowed us to have company for a week yet giving them their own bedroom with TV and bathroom isolated from ours. The kitchen is well stocked which was nice as we ate in most of the time. Having a gas grill also helped to make easy meals which gave us more time on the beach. The pool associated with this house is shared by a few houses, but we rarely saw other people swimming. It was also set at a very comfortable warm temperature. The owner communicates well although you are also dealing with a property management group on Sanibel which initially was confusing. Overall wonderful experience and hope to go back!"

  • Beautiful beach, loved the ground level beach themed condo!

"Our stay at Loggerhead Cay Unit 251 was wonderful!! The ground floor condo was perfect for our family of 5. There was ample space. We used the tennis courts and rented bikes. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. We made use of the beach towels, boogie boards, chairs and toys from the walk out lanai. Kitchen was nicely updated. Bathrooms clean. We loved the location being close to the pool. Loggerhead Cay is in a convenient location and the beachfront is beautiful. Overall fantastic week! Gretchen and Jeff were very prompt with responses our questions. Everything was smooth. Wonderful, relaxing vacation!! We would definitely recommend."
