Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada (Close to Sherbrooke Metro, St. Denis, and Square St. Louis)

Accommodations:  Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 5)

A perfect place for travelers new and old to Montreal. My wife and I purchased this house two years ago as our second/summer home, but would love for others to experience Montreal at our place when we're not there. Before our purchase, the home was featured on the Canadian version of HGTV's "Buy This House," which showcases properties that have been updated or restored to upscale or historical standards.
We have tried to think of everything. It is not some cheap rental where the furniture wobbles and the furnishings are sparse.

This is 1280 sq ft of home, where you can stretch out and relax after a day of exploring the city, read a book in our separate office off the living room, cook a meal in our full-kitchen, enjoy sleeping on a king-size bed with 400-thread count sheets, unwind in a jacuzzi bathtub, or entertain guests in our huge dining room area.

It's a home located in such a vibrant area of the Plateau, close to everything. We've rented from others while visiting Montreal for years and, hopefully, learned from others what to do AND what not to do. If you want to travel well and not worry about the little things, then consider us.

I'm sorry we did not have a great wide-angle lens to make our property look as nice as it is. We've had many parties rent from us and almost every one of them has emailed or called to tell us what a wonderful time they had staying with us.

The amenities that separate us from others are:

It's a great place. It's close to everything the city has to offer. You will definitely not be disappointed.

  • This apartment is amazing. The photos don't truly depict how large and comfortable it is. For the cost of a nice B&B 1 bedroom, you get a floor-through of a large Montreal 3-story building with a large master bedroom and a second, smaller bedroom with a single bed. We didn't use any softbed in the living room, but there's plenty of space to pull it out. Upon entering the apartment, a long wood-floored hallway has the living room and the office with computer router connection on the left and the bathroom with both shower and bathtub on the right. The hallway opens up as a dining room with long table, seating for 8 (I think), the kitchen with breakfast bar. The master bedroom with walk-in closet is on the left of the dining room. The kitchen has all the mod-coms (coffee maker, microwave, stacked washer-and-dryer) and enough cookware to cook full meals and tableware to serve it. The living room has a very large TV and the bedroom has one too. All are comfortable and in good condition. If traveling with a family and want to save money by cooking, this is a great choice. Within walking distance there are markets, as well as restaurants of all price ranges, and the Sherbrooke subway station is a 5-minute walk. The street is quiet and we were able to park our car on the next block for the 4 days around the Halloween weekend. Cons: to get into the apartment you have to walk up a steep stairway, so not handicapped accessible. Minor con: had difficulty dealing with the lockbox to get the key. However, I was able to reach the owner immediately and he walked us through. The apartment is on the Plateau Mont-Royal, a hot neighborhood, with dones of shops along Rue St- Denis. The famous Schwatz's on the Main was a 10 minute walk. Definitely our future vacation home in Montreal.

  • This was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Montreal. The Plateau area is filled with fantastic restaurants, bars, and shops, and downtown and Old Montreal are just a short Metro ride away. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We truly felt at home here.

  • This is a nice, clean, spacious place in a great neighborhood. There is so much to do right in the area, it was the perfect base for our visit to Montreal. Tom's instructions and suggestions were really helpful. We'll definitely stay here again, next time we visit Montreal!
