Full Description:
A perfect place for travelers new and old to Montreal. I recently purchased this house for use as a second/summer home, but would love for others to experience Montreal at an inviting place when I'm not there. Before the purchase, the home was featured on the Canadian version of HGTV's "Buy This House," which showcases properties that have been updated or restored to upscale or historical standards.
I have tried to think of everything. It is not some cheap rental where the furniture wobbles and the furnishings are sparse.
This is 1280 sq ft of home, where you can stretch out and relax after a day of exploring the city, read a book in the separate office off the living room, cook a meal in the full-kitchen, enjoy sleeping on a king-size bed with 400-thread count sheets, unwind in a jacuzzi bathtub, or entertain guests in the huge dining room area.
It's a home located in such a vibrant area of the Plateau, close to everything. I've rented from others while visiting Montreal for years and, hopefully, learned from others what to do AND what not to do. If you want to travel well and not worry about the little things, then consider this home.
I'm sorry I did not have a great wide-angle lens to make the property look as nice as it is. I've had many parties rent from me and almost every one of them has emailed or called to tell me what a wonderful time they had staying here.
The amenities that separate this home from others are:
--king size bed, walk-in closet, tv and dvd, dresser, night stands in the master bedroom
--queen bed in second bedroom
--full kitchen and large dining room that seats 8
--living room with attached office/library
--36" tv with cable
--computer for surfing the internet
--wi-fi access
--sofa with pull-out double bed
--washer/dryer
--shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, soap
It's a great place. It's close to everything the city has to offer. You will definitely not be disappointed.

I'm not the type of person that goes by reviews alone because I like to pass judgement on my own. Well after staying in this place my family and I were extremely impressed by the size of the apartment. The pictures do not begin to convey the amount of space in the apartment. The apartment is beautiful and located perfectly within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. The old part of Montreal is a mere 20-25 minute walk. We drove into Montreal and never had an issue with finding parking (just make sure to read the signs!) As someone who travels with family and young children often, I found the neighborhood to be inviting and very safe. I would highly recommend this place! The owner was accomodating, informative, and has done a phenomenal job with this place. Whenever my family and I visit Montreal...this is where we will stay.

I use to live in Montréal and I usually live with my brother when I visit from South America. This time, my fiance and his family were coming and I wanted to be comfortable so we rented an apartment! We were more than satisfied and we had a great time. I have lived in Montréal many years and I can assure all of you that the location cannot be more perfect. The photos also reflect very well the beauty of the place and the place is even bigger than it looks on the photos. The instructions were perfect and we had no problems getting the key. I highly recommend the place and will rent it again if I need to! Thank you

This location was wonderful. The apartment itself is great. We were here when it was 88 degrees. No air conditioning, but plenty of fans. Up and coming neighborhood=young families and singles. Close to restaurants, a great corner grocery 10 yards away, a whole street of cafes, shops and restaurants 3 blocks away. Sherbrooke Station is 4-5 blocks away and it will get you to where-ever you want to be. Can't say enough. On street parking is a little tricky but ask the guy in the grocery store. You don't even need a car.
Owner response:Thank you for the kind words. We try our best to ensure that our guests feel at home. After enjoying what the city has to offer, it is always nice to come back to a place where you can sit back and relax.

The Best Vacation I've Had With My Husband

My husband and I stayed at the apartment during our recent vacation to Montreal. We went for the Montreal Jazz Festival and the apartment was just right for our week. We moved right in and felt at home right away. The furniture (sofas, chairs, beds) are new and very comfy, the kitchen has everything you need, we even used the washer and dryer. It was great to come back to the apartment each night after the festival and unwind. The neighborhood is great. A few blocks walk gets you to: more restaurants then you could possibly want (we tried several of them and all were superb), the famous Schwartz Deli and Old Europe Market (written up in the travel books), wonderful little bakeries (my favorite was the Portuguese bakery just 2 blocks away) and on and on. The metro stop was a quick walk away, which was great for us. We didn't have a car, but we didn't need one at all. We could walk to get food and groceries (regular and gourmet). And for our "touring" or the jazz festival we just got on the metro and within a few minutes we could reach all our destinations easily. The neighborhood is so pretty, with beautiful old buildings and lovely little gardens and parks. We were sad to leave! The owner was great to work with, answered all of our questions beforehand, and even gave us some restaurant suggestions. We will definitely come back to Montreal and rent this apartment again.

This apartment is simple and beautiful and has everything you need for a lovely stay in Montreal, including things like a coffee pot, a hairdryer, and mustard in the fridge! The neighborhood is charming and close to so many great food spots, as well as parks and the metro. The communication and assistance of the owner made our stay so easy and affordable. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have 2-6 people (2 separate bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a pull out double sized couch).
Owner response:We believe that our guests should have a great time during their stay in Montreal, a comforting sleep when they are done their daily adventures, and have access to the little things that make their trip as easy as living at home. It makes us happy when our guests appreciate our efforts. Thank you.

My wife and I have stayed at several apartments during our travels over the past few years. This place is definitely on our top 3 list of places to stay. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and within walking distance of most of the things we wanted to see in Montreal. There were two parks in the area and bike paths that were close. We really enjoyed Duluth Street since it had an abundance of good restaurants where you could bring your own wine or champagne. Yes we celebrated a little. Truth be told, we would strongly recommend this apartment. It just felt right.
Owner response:Wow, thanks for your review. We always try to make our clients feel welcome and comfortable so that they can enjoy the Montreal culture with ease

I absolutely adored this place. It was very comfortable, clean, and close to beautiful parks. They had a lot of movies being made in the area, especially in St. Louis Square. St. Louis Square is pretty incredible, I could grab my breakfast or lunch at a nearby bakery then sit in the park around the fountain and enjoy as the people walked about. I felt so close to everything and could access the metro within minutes. I definitely didn’t go hungry since there were so many restaurants to choose from. It was also nice that my husband and I could make a nice dinner and then relax in the living room afterwards. This is the perfect apartment in the perfect city. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are looking to enjoy all that Montreal has to offer.
Owner response:We are happy that both of you enjoyed your stay

The apartment was beautiful and perfectly situated for people who want to enjoy the Montreal festivals, culture, and architecture. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and miles and miles of shopping. The place was exactly how it was described and very clean. Everything was conveniently located and most. The place was close public transportation but we walked to many destinations since they were pretty close. The area is very great for singles, couples and families. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Montreal!

Great apartment! I rented the place for family members visiting Montreal. It is centrally located -- walking distance from most tourist destinations (St. Laurent, St. Denis, Prince Arthur, downtown and Old Montreal) and right beside the Sherbrooke Metro station. Perfect for those without a car (but we always found parking on the street). The apartment itself is spacious, clean and well-maintained, and most importantly, felt like a home. The owner/manager was trustworthy and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend it and I'm sure I'll be renting it again for future visits.
Owner response:Glad you enjoyed your experience. Thanks for the comments.

We really enjoyed the apartment. It was perfectly located with cafes, shops, restaurants, and parks nearby. The kitchen came equipped with everything we needed to cook and the place was clean. It was close to the metro, which was really nice because it allowed us to travel to all our sites easily. We also really enjoyed the space. The place was big so we didn't feel cooped up like in hotels. Most importantly, the person renting the place was a good person and very accommodating. We highly recommend this place
