  • Great !!!

"This is perhaps the best place to stay in Old Quebec, especially if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for accommodations. It's perfectly located, down the hill to the market, up the hill to the shops , restaurants, Hotel Frontenac, street entertainment. Basically a great home base while you are there. The condo itself is very nice, intimate and well appointed. Everything you need is there if you want to just cook your own meals. It's 5 foot entrance door was a source of many smiles by passers by as we ducked in and out of our little hideaway. All in all we highly recommend this place if you are travelling to Quebec City. • Felt like we were home

"We travel to Montreal every other year. Now that we have experienced this property, we will never stay anywhere else. The location is top notch, close to everything, including great part of town, highway, and subway. We had the first floor apartment and found the street to be very quiet and the backyard was an oasis. The kitchen came stocked with everything you need for a continental breakfast and when Richard found out we were beer drinkers, we had beer in the fridge! So very friendly and homey. I cannot recommend enough!"

  • Great chalet in Mont Tremblant

"We just got back from a nice, relaxing ski weekend in Mont Tremblant, and this chalet was the perfect place for us. Not only was it reasonably priced, but it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The teenager in our group thought it was really cool, with 2 levels, an open space concept, and a balcony that looks out over a ravine. The 3 adults loved having 2 huge bathrooms, comfortable beds, and lots of room to work in the kitchen, with bar stools at the counter for those conversations you have over wine and preparing dinner. It was so convenient - minutes to the ski hill, and minutes to the village for groceries, wine, and meandering down the street to find a great breakfast place, quaint stores, and an awesome art studio. For the price, location, and comfort, I cannot see how we would have done any better. We were all very happy with this chalet. Communicating with the owners, instructions, keys, etc.. was incredibly simple as well. Thanks Clive!"

  • Roomy 2-Level Condo in Heart of Old Quebec

"We had a pleasant stay in this condo in mid October. The condo's best features are LOCATION (heart of Old Quebec near Rue Ste.-Jean), SPACE (eat-in-kitchen, two bedrooms plus living room with sleeper sofa), and LAUNDRY facilities. Also, we must mention the friendly OWNERS as a plus. The condo was never too hot nor too cold during our stay. Public parking is a short walk away. The hot tub functioned while we were there and we used it, but it was more on the very warm side rather than hot (96 degrees.) The kitchen has all the dishes, utensils, and tools that you will need during your stay. The negatives of the condo are the uneven floors and stairs. Yes, they are to be expected in an old building, but the stairs are very slanted to one side and the floor between the living room and kitchen has a step of about 1 1/2 to 2 inches so take your balance and mobility into consideration when deciding whether to rent the condo. We ourselves tripped on the step several times and my son fell part way down the stairs but was OK. Parking was listed as an amenity so I had thought it was included. It turns out that public parking is a short distance away, but no parking was included with the rental. It ended up being difficult to find someone to help us buy a parking pass so we had the additional expense of daily parking. There is a also a lot of dust from the mortar between the stone walls. I know that the apartment was dusted before we arrived, but by the time we left 3 days later there was significant dust. Another negative is that the massive bookcase on the left of the fireplace is secured by a single screw that is coming out. Because the bookcase is so heavy and tall but not deep, I was constantly worried that my youngest would try to climb it and it would fall on him. I mentioned the issue to one of the owners and she said that they might secure the bookcase. Another much more minor issue (for us) was the presence of many almonds on the floor in the living room which told me that that room had not been given a proper cleaning before our arrival. We are not allergic so it wasn't a big concern, but when you pay an $80 cleaning fee, I think it's reasonable to expect that the last renters also paid the fee and so the apt should be free of snacks on the floor. I mentioned the nuts to the owner after our departure. The cupboards had salt, pepper, tea and sugar. Bring your own shampoo."
