  • Romantic Getaway

"I absolutely loved this city and place! We are a couple traveling from NYC and the drive up was breath-taking and easy--would highly encourage driving if you can! This spot was in an ideal location. I was able to park without problem on the streets for free! We were only a ten minute walk from the subway and 5 minute walk from the bus stop that shoots down Notre Dame. In the opposite direction, 1 block over, was the canal and a great running/biking path that we used every morning. I especially enjoyed that Atwater Market was also a 10-15 minute walk away--it had everything from fresh bread to flowers to AMAZING meat that you can bring back to the apartment and grill on the outdoor patio. Get there early in the morning because it gets crowded and has bread fresh out of the oven. The line can get long but it moves! Besides location, we adored the apartment. Nicolas, the owner, was very helpful and friendly! Apartment is exactly as pictured. Loved the the outdoor space and the full kitchen. I saw a previous review mentioned the area looked a little shady but we didn't get that feeling--but that also may be because we live in a city :) The neighbors are very friendly and I didn't feel unsafe parking my little Honda next to the BMWs and other fancy cars. He had a binder of what's around and pamphlets all about Montreal. My favorite part was this notebook he kept on the table that was completely filled with previous guests' entries thanking Nicolas and giving advice to future guests. Enjoyed our first trip to Montreal so much we are coming back in June! Thanks Nicolas!"

  • best loft in the city

"Marie's apartment is gorgeous and well-maintained with strong internet WiFi and media streaming included on the TV. The place is walking distance to all the fun stuff in downtown Montreal, and she helped us with some local recommendations, which turned out to be amazing eats and drinks, better than Yelp! Thank you Marie, I hope you see us again soon!"

  • The Best

"We were 2 couples coming to Montreal for the World Masters Swim Championships. We couldn't have found a better place. Richard was more than helpful. He even toured us around the neighborhood to get us oriented. The apartment was sensational. It had everything you could need. We used the washer/dryer and that was very handy. The location was ideal for us because it's 5 minute walk to Beri UQAM metro which has connections all over Montreal. Richard left recommendations for restaurants (some to which you bring your own wine) a plus. We would add Coo Rouge up Amherst near Ontario. In summer the garden in the back was great. A less expensive place (though you don't bring your own wine). Inside is quite small; so maybe this is best for warmer weather. We also found that anything we needed was a short walk: restaurants; bakery; grocery and metro. All in all a wonderful place and Richard was the perfect host. We drove up. So Richard found us a place to park and leave the car ( for extra $). You definitely don't need a car here. The metro is very good. PS Food in Montreal is wonderful. Try the almond croissants!"

  • Could not ask for better!

"What a pleasurable place to stay. It has all the comforts from home and then some. It has been professionally decorated and is quite impressive. It is within walking distance of many great restaurants in the old section and only three to four blocks from the subway. Did not use our car at all during our stay. It is in a quiet section so you will enjoy a good night's sleep. The bedding and towels are of great quality and very comfortable. Cherie is very welcoming and will answer any questions that you have. We will certainly recommend this place to any of our friends visiting Montreal."
