  • Great spot in the heart of Old Montreal

"We were looking for a high quality condo in the heart of Old Montreal and this one absolutely fit the bill. There is parking, but you will likely leave your car in the underground parking for the entire stay, as you are literally in the middle of everything. Elaine was very helpful throughout the process, responding quickly and positively to all enquiries - and promptly returning the security deposit when we were done. The location is great and the condo conversion is excellent. All very high quality. A wonderful inner city escape. We highly recommend it."

  • Tres Bien

"What a find!!! We went with another couple and discovered this wonderful neighborhood while staying in this fab apartment. It was perfect for exploring the area, getting anywhere in Montreal and eating at De Forment et du Seve. The apartment was clean, efficient and quiet. The parking was a breeze and the whole neighborhood was perfect. Felt very much like south of France but did not have to do a red eye to get there. This will not be the last visit for us!!"

  • Delightful stay, beautiful home!

"Exceptional in every way, this late nineteenth century house maintained the elegance of its era yet provided our family with every modern amenity we could ask for. From the moment we stepped through the front door and were greeted by assistant manager Carol Ann, our experience was nothing but restful and relaxing; having the refrigerator stocked with breakfast basics was a thoughtful gesture that was much appreciated after a long train ride. The fully-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook meals when we wanted to, but there were many wonderful restaurants close to the house too. The neighborhood was so nice just to walk through. We were a family of six adults and, as other reviewers have mentioned, were very comfortable during our entire stay. All in all, if you're looking for a larger house, this special home has everything!"

  • Great apartment and family friendly, very French, cultural neighborhood

"We definitely echo what other reviews have shared -- this is a great apartment and location in the Mont-Royal section of Montreal. The apartment was surprisingly quiet - the neighborhood has many families, babies and pets; yet we never heard anyone at all -- that is unless we were sitting on the deck enjoying a coffee or glass of wine :-) . The owner was very responsive. We were not familiar with this part of Montreal so here are some of our discoveries. The Metro (Laurier station) is about a 12 minute walk just past the park. If you go 3 stations up to Jean-Talon you will find what is perhaps the best market ever, where you will find all sorts of freshest of fresh produce, seafood, locally made cheese -- if you like oysters definitely sit at the small counter near the outside of the market and enjoy a great selection ($2 each or $20 for a dozen). Just down around the corner from the apartment is a really great local bistro - Les Entretiens - the food was excellent - menu is entirely in French but the waitress did her best to explain. You'll find the Metro supermarket along the way to the subway - it has a very broad selection of just about anything...the Quebec yogurt in Maple flavor was our daughter's favorite. There is a gelato shop on the main street as well that was packed with local families. You'll find a really good speciality gourmet - imports / coffee tea shop nearby -- if you are from the US the owner of 40 years will talk Montreal politics with you! (Hint he is not in favor with the current politician) Some tips for getting around -- if it works out buy a 3 day pass to the Metro -- this provides unlimited access during these days and can save some money versus fixed trips. The Montreal Fine Art museum is worth checking out - they had a great Faberge jewelry exhibit while we were there (easy walk from Guy Concordia station). The Montreal botanical garden (Pie IX station) is amazing - our 13 year old really enjoyed it. While parking is included with a spot in the back alleyway, we parked on the street. The apartment is a 3rd floor walk up - metal stairs on the exterior - then somewhat narrow staircase inside. We packed 2 smaller suitcases (pullmans) versus 1 larger and had no issues carrying these up. The rain shower is excellent. We did find that WIFI was inconsistent - it worked best on the kitchen bar area and the bedrooms. We had previously stayed at a hotel in Old Montreal and found staying here to be more enjoyable."
