Comment from recent guests:
"We enjoyed our whole experience at the Magnolia House. Your home surpassed our expectations and the pictures on line really do not do the house justice. It is such a neat house, the kitchen was absolutely fantastic, and the beds very comfortable. I was only sorry that we didn't have time to enjoy the beautiful back yard. The house was much better stocked than we had imagined, and we ended up returning a lot of items to Safeway that we found we did not need. I especially want to tell you how much I appreciated how easy you made the whole transaction. It was just terrific in every way."
--N. Starr, Ft. Myers, FL
"My friends and I had a fantastic time and we all loved the house! I have stayed in other rentals and yours was by far the best stocked, and the kitchen was great. I am definitely going to pass the information on to others about Magnolia House."

We recently stayed at the Magnolia House for 4 nights. The house was very clean, in a great location, and the neighborhood was very quiet. I would certainly recommend the Magnolia House for anyone looking for privacy while staying in downtown Napa.

Delightful house, and beautiful back yard. We has a wonderful BBQ. Great location. We walked about 7 blocks to restaurants in town. And the owners were wonderful to deal with. We would highly recommend the place
Owner response:We're so glad the house surpassed your expectations and that your party was able to enjoy the backyard as well as experience some of Napa's excellent dining options. Our guests find it most convenient to be next door to downtown's dining/shopping district, including Angele and Celadon-- a two block walk from the house--and a block further at the Riverwalk Promenade, Morimoto's and Fish Story have recently taken up residence alongside the new Napa Valley Visitor's Center. It was a pleasure having you as our guests and we appreciate your feedback.

Perfect Home Base for Wine Tasting and Restaurants in Napa

We stayed here for our college girls reunion, and it was perfect. With plenty of space for all six of us, it had three bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The living room was cushy and comfortable, and the kitchen was perfect for whipping up a gourmet meal. Napa is a great home base city, and while it may lack some of the "charm" of the valley towns (Calistoga/Yountville, etc.), it is much more affordable and there are some excellent new restaurants in the town. We ate at Tyler Florence's new restaurant, Rotisserie and Wine, and it was amazing! It was only about five blocks walking distance from Magnolia house, which helped us all relax and enjoy some wine with dinner. Morimoto has a new restaurant and bar also within walking distance - we heard rave reviews, although we weren't able to make it there during this trip. The owners did a great job communicating with us, and the hot tub was a perfect touch. The Magnolia tree in the backyard was in bloom, and the sun streamed in through the windows. Perfect! Thanks for a great stay!

Magnolia House was everything & more as seen on the VRBO site.It was very welcoming & in an ideal location to visit the Napa sites. It iis located in a nice quiet, clean neighbourhood within easy waliking distance to downtown Napa. This was by far the nicest home we stayed in, on our California trip. The owners thought of everything--from the lovely linens, the well stocked kitchen & the restaurant lists & the "what to do , where to go" brochures. The little things were very much appreciated. Magnolia House is a very clean, well maintained comfy home for all travellers. We are so happy we found this home. we can't say enough good things about Magnolia House & the service. We have highly recommendeda stay here to our family & friends in California & Canada Hope to visit, again, soon.

Magnolia house was lovely, comfortable, and well stocked. My only comment is that sleeping 7 could be a little tight or awkward depending on your party as the third bedroom has a double bed and a day bed. Suzy was great and responsive to all our questions. The house is well maintained, centrally located, and has everything you could possibly need in a home away from home. we would definitely stay there again.

We very much enjoyed Magnolia House in downtown Napa. We have rented quite often from VRBO and this is one the nicest places we have stayed. What made it so nice was the owner's very thoughtful touches in the house. It's the little things like nice towels, nice decor, nice outdoor furniture, etc. She also very kindly stocked the house with the essentials like toliet paper, kleenex, hand soap, a few things in the fridge, sunscreen, etc. Some places don't do this and it was very much appreciated. The home was very, very clean, as well. We enjoyed just sitting in the backyard, having a glass of wine, or using the hot tub in the evening. It is a very quiet neighborhood and the the backyard is very private. We also appreciated the list of restaurants, the display of area things to do, as well as where to find a grocery store the owner left for us. This home is in a great location. Close to the riverfront development with shops and restaurants. You don't have to drive very far to many more restaurants farther downtown. Lots of lovely homes in the neighborhood to look at if you take a walk. There are plenty of wineries within 20 miles to keep you busy for days! We would leave in the morning and start at the upper end of the valley and work our way back to Napa. We ended up eating in Napa several nights because there was so much to choose from. We had wonderful dinners at Cedalon and Angele in Napa. We also visited the CIA and Mustard's Grill for dinner which were both just down the road. We also enjoyed the pastries from Sweetie Pies. The owner's attention to detail is evident and it made our stay in Napa even more enjoyable. I hope we will be able to visit again soon!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Magnolia House and could not have asked for more. The location of the house in relation to town was ideal, and the neighborhood was charming and quiet. The house itself is beautiful and very welcoming. We enjoyed every aspect of staying here and hope to come back soon! I can't say enough good things about Magnolia House and highly recommend it for people traveling to Napa. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

5 of us stayed at the Magnolia house while 3 of us ran in the Napa Valley Marathon. We were able to stay in the house for 4 nights. The house was perfect! We were amazed how functional and well stocked the kitchen was, which is not always the case in rental homes. It was fantastic! The location was great, quite close to downtown restaurants and yet very quiet. I would highly recommend this house!
Owner response:Kim, I am so glad you and your party enjoyed the house and your time in the Valley. Thank you for choosing Magnolia House, and we hope for the opportunity to host your group again in the future!

The Magnolia House was perfect for our girls' weekend get-away. We enjoyed the house so much that we stayed there more than we thought we would. It had everything that we needed, was clean and comfortable, and was a short walk to down town. The hot tub was an added bonus! We would definitely stay at the Magnolia house again.
