The home includes nice landscaping, and great outdoor living with a large backyard, gas BBQ, deck, maple trees and a picnic table.

Built by Napa legend Devita, the home is light, airy, and open - a perfect vacation getaway. This house sits on a corner lot on a quiet tree-lined street. The backyard is fully fenced with locking gates. The fence is covered with vines, keeping it private and quiet. French doors open from the dining room and master bedroom to the deck and backyard, looking out through trees to the Napa hills.

You'll enjoy comforts ranging from a plush king bed in the master bedroom, to the flat screen HD t.v. in living room (and both bedrooms), a movie library, books, magazines, iPod hookup to Bose system, cable music and endless cable t.v. channels. Cook your dinner in the fully equipped tile and slate kitchen. Use the wine cooler to keep your wines the perfect temperature during your stay. Relax sipping Cabernet in a crystal Riedel glass on the deck looking out at the stars. Spend a sunny day hiking in nearby Skyline Park, and wine tasting just down the road at one of Napa's great wineries.

The house provides full amenities including high thread count cotton sheets and towels, down comforters with crisp white duvet covers, soaps, shampoos and bath salts. There are also 2 hybrid bikes for your use.

A brand new computer with high speed internet and printer is available for last minute planning and printing, maps or research. Or bring your laptop and surf wirelessly from the couch or lounge chair in the yard.

Devita Bungalow - Napa Luxury and Comfort with Outdoor Living

Year Purchased: 2007

Why the Owner Chose Napa

I've always loved coming to Napa (from my home in San Francisco) and have a great interest in wine and the outdoors. I chose this property due to its indoor/outdoor feel, the quaint, safe, and friendly neighborhood, and the comfortable back yard to relax in (with 'Devon' my Pomeranian). Working as a finance professional in Silicon Valley I find spending time in the Devita Bunglow to be a perfect way to wind down.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Guests comment that the Devita Bungalow is a warm and comfortable place for their vacation stay. They are often impressed by the simple yet elegant design and that it is nicer than the pictures convey. "From the fireplace to the paint colors on the wall, to the spacious backyard, everything was perfect," wrote one guest. Our guests like the location because it is central to everything, with easy access to highway 29, leading to Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga and all the great wineries in between.

The architecture of the house was ahead of its time and unlike most homes built in the 40's, offers open rooms with big windows letting in lots of light in every room. We ensure our guests enjoy the same luxuries we do while staying at the Bungalow by providing high-end amenities such as Hotel brand sheets, Riedel wine glasses and decanter, Crate & Barrel tableware, even hybrid bicycles to take a scenic tour around the neighborhood and to nearby downtown Napa.
We enjoy providing a great place for you to spend your vacation, and strive to create a home that is nicer than any hotel or B&B, but at a reasonable price. We hope you have a wonderful stay in Napa.

Owner's Map of Napa

Hi, I'm Michelle and thanks for browsing my vacation rental. We purchased this property in Napa in 2007 as a place to get away from the city, and to relax and spend time with friends and family. The wine country, with its perfect climate and beautiful scenery season to season, is a great place to do just about anything you like, and this house is close to everything. I enjoy Barbecues in the private backyard as well as dining at the many nearby world class restaurants, and, of course, visiting all the nearby wineries.

    • Definitely book this bungalow! We went to Napa for our honeymoon and decided to stay at Devita while we were there. And boy are we glad we did! With the close proximity to the wineries, cozy fireplace, spacious dining room and kitchen, and comfy beds, we didn't want to leave! We will definitely be back in the future!

"We love your home! it's perfectly appointed and the gardens and neighborhood are fragrant and lovely. We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Ubuntu - we had heard lots about it and it exceeded our high expectations. We also discovered a great wine store - Back Room Wines on 1st St. that has Friday evening tastings. We can't wait to return."

"Wonderful stay in your lovely home during our visit to Napa. While we had no shortage of restaurants to sample, the opportunity to stay in certain evenings and cook added to our trip. Lovely kitchen! We also enjoyed using the bikes to explore the neighborhood. Your recommendations for places to check out also came in extremely handy as did the wine refrigerator. The back yard is lovely and the bedrooms were extremely comfortable. All in all, our visit was fantastic. If we return to Napa, we will definitely wish to return to this lovely home. Many thanks!"

"What a great find. Close to everything and a fabulous place to relax and unwind in the evening. The deck and gardens were warm and welcoming. Fresh rosemary in the garden for the nights we cooked in was so nice. In the area we enjoyed the Castrello di Amorosa (the Castle) winery and the sensory experience at the Franciscian. We also enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the wine train, one of our favorite activities. Dinner at Bistro Jeanty capped our stay with a wonderful mean in a very nice setting. The five days we spent here was not near enough time. We hope your enjoy your stay. Thanks for everything."
