Enjoy the good life in one of Napa's finest neighborhoods. This is a tastefully restored 1940's bungalow home with everything you need to enjoy your sun-filled days in comfort and relaxation. The home includes floor-to-ceiling windows, nice landscaping, and great outdoor living with a large backyard, gas BBQ, deck, maple trees and a picnic table.
Built by Napa legend Devita, the home is light, airy, and open - a perfect vacation getaway. This house sits on a corner lot on a quiet tree-lined street. The backyard is fully fenced with locking gates. The fence is covered with vines, keeping it private and quiet. French doors open from the dining room and master bedroom to the deck and backyard, looking out through trees to the Napa hills.

You'll enjoy comforts ranging from a plush king bed in the master bedroom, to the flat screen t.v. in all rooms, a movie library, books, magazines, Apple tv so you can access your music or rent a video, all hooked up to the Bose system, endless cable channels. Cook your dinner in the fully equipped tile and slate kitchen. Use the wine cooler to keep your wines the perfect temperature during your stay. Relax sipping Cabernet in a crystal Riedel glass on the deck looking out at the stars. Spend a sunny day hiking in nearby Skyline park, and wine tasting just down the road at one of Napa's great wineries.
The house provides full amenities including high thread count cotton sheets and towels, soaps, shampoos and bath salts.
A computer with cable internet and printer is available for last minute planning and printing, maps or research. Or bring your laptop and surf wirelessly from the couch or lounge chair in the yard.
The house is 1.4 miles away from downtown Napa. Visit the nearby di Rosa Art and Nature Preserve, and local wineries like Mondavi, Cakebread, Silver Oak, BV, Alpha Omega and more. Located at the foot of highway 29 and the Silverado Trail, everything is close and easy to find. Drive 45 miles south to San Francisco and spend a day in the city.

Davita Bungalow was charming, cozy, clean, and in the perfect location for us. Is super close to Interstate I-29 which made it super easy for us to navigate our way through Napa Valley. It was also close the super markets and close enough to bike trails and downtown. We will stay at the bunglaow again upon our next trip to Napa and will encourage others to visit the opportunity as well to stay in such a wonderful area overall. Thanks Penny and Michelle for sharing your bungalow. We are spoiled and wouldn't want to be returning to a hotel now at the end of the day. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and having breakfast here in the morning before starting our busy day. We enjoyed tasting at Stonybrook, Mountain, Fontanella, Shafer and Whiterock. We like out of the way places with intimate tours/tastings. We liked Rutherford Grill and Bounty Hunter for dinner. Our family recently stayed at this clean & comfortable bungalow located near Napa. We had 6 adults in the bungalow. You can use the living room & set up an air mattress. The kitchen is well equipped to make meals. The backyard is relaxing to enjoy a peaceful place to sample wine from all those vineyards. The bathroom was clean and towels provided. We appreciated everything was clean. I would recommend this property to relatives or friends. We enjoyed the Artesa vineyard. Also dined at the tapas restaurant in Napa. Both great. I enjoyed a very relaxing time at the Devita bungalow.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

There is nothing like going away on vacation and feeling like you are in a friend's home. It was cozy and wonderful. You can't beat walking out on the deck from the bedroom in the morning with your PJ's on for a morning cup of coffee. This home is pure charm. It's big enough to spread out and small enough to feel cozy. Everything is so near by. I would be happy to stay here again and again. It's also nice to be in a neighborhood instead of a hotel. It's perfect for 2 couples. Sitting on the porch looking into the back yard is the best part.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

My friends and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Devita Bungalow a few weeks ago. We came in on a Friday night to an immaculate and inviting home. We started our trip with a bottle of wine on the back porch, enjoying the warm weather and the beautiful garden. The next day we took advantage of the bikes provided and biked around Napa to some of the recommended wineries listed in the travel guide left for us by the owners. After a long day of biking we couldn't have asked for a better way to relax than with a bbq dinner in the cozy backyard of the Devita Bungalow. Relaxation is an understatement with this home. The beds are HUGE and extremely comfortable - just what you need after a long day of wine tasting! All in all, this house is perfect for the active vacationers or those who want to stay in and relax. I can't wait to come back and visit in the near future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Stayed here for a weekend girl getaway, hoping for a comfy, cozy place for us foodies to call home for a couple of days. Location was fine, but there's a lot of construction on the street and traffic noise from the freeway and Napa is at the bottom of the Valley so there was a fair amount of drive time (joining that traffic) to get to Yountville (highly suggest Ad Hoc for the best meal of your life or box lunch from Addendum), St. Helena and Calistoga for shopping/wine tasting (Hint: take the Silverado Trail back to town). House is charming but "nicely appointed kitchen"is a stretch. The dishes are fine but bring your own cookware if you're really wanting to stay in to cook a meal. The pots and pans are old and rusty and scratched. Also, bring your own face cloths as there is but one in the linen closet. The only one of us who didn't complain about a sore back the next morning was the one who slept on the couch. Not that it was a totally bad experience - I'd consider going back (knowing what I know) to enjoy the deck and backyard with all its flowers, and enjoy some takeout in the lovely dining room. It was definitely better than a hotel!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: Hi, thanks for browsing our vacation rental. We purchased this property in Napa in 2007 as an investment, and to have a place to get away from the city. The wine country, with its perfect climate and beautiful scenery season to season, is a great place to do just about anything you like, and this house is close to everything. The Devita Bungalow is a great place to enjoy Barbecues in the private backyard as well as dining at the many nearby world class restaurants, and, of course, visiting all the nearby wineries.
