Sunset point is located on top of a small hill over-looking La Punta Beach which is at the southern end of the world famous Mexpipe on Zicatela Beach. The beach at La Punta is just a short stroll down a tropical track passing local houses and adding that cultural feeling to your holiday. At sunset point Hotel you can enjoy the panorama from the mountains to the city of Puerto Escondido while enjoying a swim in the pool or relaxing with a cool drink as the sunsets over the ocean and the stars begin to shine.
In the evenings we experience the cooler ocean breezes that takes away the heat of the day and gives you releif from the heat of the day. Our rooms are kept tidy and clean. We have decorated the to give the feeling of open space with all the necessary essentials. Everyroom looks out over lush tropical gardens that are carefully maintained. Guests can enjoy picking a fresh banana from our restaurant that grow on our many banana plants in the gardens at sunset point.
Each bungalow has its own color scheme which inclues a tradional terracota window mozaic which adds depth and color to something extra to the bungalow described best as an essence of Mexico. From our upstairs terraces you have unstoppable 360 deg views of the mountains and ocean. At night-time the lights of Puerto Escondido and the spectacular stars of the milky way can add hours of relaxation time to your night just star-gazing in the balmy tropical night air. The bungalow's sre set around a 22m long lap pool located next to a community kitchen which can be used if you decide not to cook in your bungalow. Guests can also enjoy games, or a few bears or you can order a Pizza and a beer while sitting at a table near the pool. We have full time staff who look-after the gardens, clean rooms and maintain the Community centre and cater to problems that may crop up during your holiday. We are all here to help to make your stay at Sunset point as enjoyable as we can.

Why the Owner Chose Puerto Escondido
Sunset Point is just 10km from the airport and less distance to the bus stations. We have 2 amazing ecological reerves that include lagoons that span 100km and are home to hundreds of different species of bird, fish and other wildlife either migratory or at home here in the mangrove swamps. Puerto Escondio also has beaches that span for hundreds of km in either direction often you will find yourself totally alone on the shores of a white sandy beach. This area is an unspoilt paradise where you can still experience the culture of southern Mexico.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow
We often drive the 5km to the Super Che supermarket to buy our daily food supplies and enjoy the airconditioning while walking the iles. We have a few beach restaurants near us however nothing is better than driving into the town to have tacos at our favorite Taco restaurant. Surfing is a large attraction in Puerto Escondido so when the surf gets big we love to walk a long the beach and watch the surfers.

My job is to lookafter the guests at Sunset Point Hotel and also make sure the gardens are looking as perfect as possible ... also the swimmingpools and to check the rooms are clean and the staff are busy doing thier jobs. I also arrange for guests to take surf lessons, fishing trips, eco tours etc.

I must say Chris is a wonderful person and the confort of his guests is a priority for him. There is a very good ambiance in his place, with very friendly people . We had long and happy BBQ , lot of fun. The bungalow are very clean, and the garden magnificent. I made some friends there and we'll come back for sure.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

wow this was the most amzing serenity we experienced after 8 months of travelling we enjoyed 3 amazing weeks here in paradise. The best place we stayed in ever money for value.
