Salt Creek vacation rentals

Our family of 4 spent three amazing days in this beautiful, spacious home—the perfect setting for both relaxation and adventure. The remote location offers a peaceful escape, while the nearby Al Natural resort provides plenty of excursion options to keep things exciting. We loved swimming off the dock, exploring the beaches, and unwinding on the porch. Whether spreading out for some quiet time or gathering together, the house offered the ideal balance. We opted for dinner at Al Natural for 2 of our evenings, and the meal was fresh and delicious. Communication with the host was seamless and she met us at the airport and provided some last minute details. A truly unforgettable stay!

We every much enjoyed our stay at villa 4 at Red Frog Resort. The villa is lovely, spacious, and well-maintained, and the resort is beautiful as well. This villa is on the Red Frog property with full access to all amenities and services of the resort in addition to having its own private pool, which our kids loved. Brett was communicative and helpful with checking in and answering questions. He was also great about giving us a later check-out since our flight wasn’t departing until that evening. Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for two couples and in an excellently convenient location. Our host was super responsive, and we couldn’t think of a single detail that was overlooked. You choose to stay make sure you stock up on hotdogs and dog food for the many friends that you will make in the neighborhood

We would totally recommend this property to anyone. It was the perfect fit for two families. The rooms are huge and basically their own suites which worked well for all of our range of kids and also privacy for the adults. The view from the house and pool are incredible! The beds are great and it was amazing to have laundry as an option. It is in a great location of the resort as well, super close to the club which has great lunch and drink options. We had plans of going to other areas for meals, but found the two restaurants that we could get to on golf cart and the club as perfect options for us right on the beach and also so so easy with kids. Not to mention everything we had was fantastic, and we are super snobs with food, so we were pleasantly surprised as we had heard differently. We loved having the kitchen for easy breakfasts and making our own cocktails etc. The little grocery store on the resort was actually much better than we had expected. We saw sloths and red frogs and had the very best time exploring. I would highly recommend this to people who like to get away and feel like they are retreating from the crowds. It for sure is not a busy place at all and there are not really organized activities---but that is why we loved it. It was easy to get picked up for surfing right at the dock as well. Everyone is super nice and helpful--although on island time for sure! Renting a golf cart is a must so make sure to do that. We can't wait to return!

Great property right on the water! The kayak, surf boards, and paddle boards were endless fun for our family. Sizable home - great for a large group. Armodio - was an immense help throughout the duration of the trip. We loved Casa Acuario for breakfast and Bibi's for dinner. Escuela del Mar is amazing for surfing. We saw sloth, countless crabs and birds near the home. I recommend Starfish beach for a day trip as well!

We had a great time staying here with our two kids ages 4 and 6. The house is right on a beautiful beach with calm, shallow waters for swimming. We also took out the kayaks several times to paddle around and went on boat excursions to the Zapatillas Islands and a chocolate farm, as well as a tour into the village and surrounding jungle with local guide Calypso, which was a highlight!The house itself is spacious and well-appointed with incredible views from the deck.This is a more remote area of Bocas and Isla Bastimiento, so be sure that's what you're looking for when considering it, but it's great for those want a quiet, relatively private place in a beautiful area. There is a resort that is a short walk down the beach where we were able to get dinner, and others further down.

We had the absolute best time staying at this beach cabana. The bed was super cozy, the outdoor kitchen was awesome (make sure to bring all the food/beverages you need), the beach has the most beautiful clear water and loads of star fish and other fish and we were the ONLY people there and had the entire beach to ourselves, the locals were kind when passing and the host was extremely friendly and accommodating and had quick response to questions. We did a water taxi out there and had a pick up and it was 160$ there and back. We wish we would have brought snorkel gear with us other than that we enjoyed it. Love that it’s run on solar and rain water! Super cool. Thanks again! Don’t forget your bug spray too it was crucial we did have some with us!

Writing this review to quiet some of the concerns of the previous reviewer… this rental was amazing! First, the views cannot be beat and the outdoor deck living space is just wonderful. It is the highest location in this particular spot of Basti, with amazing views and a breeze. It’s basically a very unique tropical jungle treehouse high above the town. The ACs in the bedrooms work very well and there is consistently hot water, with strong water pressure - things that are hard to find on Basti! There are 77 steps (not “literally 97” like another review mentions) but more than half of them are steps from the road and through a little wooded area. The main staircase up the side of the house is about 30 steps straight up and is sturdy. Small price to pay for the incredible view you get in return. And you’re pretty much always sweating in Basti anyway so not a big deal, haha. Yes, there is a bar on the water that plays very loud music some nights - for us, it was only loud Saturday and Sunday night and we were there for 7 nights. Anywhere you stay in this section of Basti will have this issue too, this is not unique to this rental property. We brought earplugs and that helped tremendously. The place was very clean upon arrival. Yes, bugs are around as it’s a jungle, this is not avoided anywhere on the island.We have been to Basti twice and would stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s a special island, this is a special house, and we had a magical time!
