  We returned last night from our third trip to The Farm. We have already booked our 4th and 5th visits, and are thinking about the 6th. I honestly did not think it could get any better than our last two visits. But this was our best so far. We had 6 couples, adults only. Our other visits were with families/kids. The Farm is extremely unique, in that it has 6 separate bedrooms. Many places say "Sleeps 20!" But then you find out that is with rooms with three sets of bunk beds, using pullout couches, air mattresses, etc... The Farm gives 6 separate couples the opportunity for privacy, yet all the amazing, unique community spaces for cooking, eating, games, etc... Do a Sort on VRBO and you will see The Farm has the most private bedrooms of any home in the area. It is hard to explain the magic of this place. Let me just say this. The couples who were coming were full of big plans. They were going to go skiing, snowmobiling, antiquing, shopping, etc... Well the reality is, we barely moved. No one wanted to leave. Once you get there you just want to cocoon into the place, and share the magic together. The closeness, tranquility, fun, etc just envelopes you into a warm hug. For sure, part of it is the incredible history of the property, beautifully documented with descriptions and photos. You know that countless special memories have been made there. The jawdropping views, the weather, all of it contributes to the aura. But probably the biggest contributor is the utter passion this owner-family has put in to refurbishing/furnishing/outfitting it. The river rock fireplace is not just gorgeous and cozy. It was made by the family gathering rocks from the actual river and arranging them in just the right way. Just when you think your skin feels dry, you look down and there is a bottle of nice lotion. You guess which kitchen drawer has the spatulas on your first try. It simply has all been put together so extremely well, from the loveliest wood mantle to the most handy roll of duct tape. We thought about getting our own vacation home. Instead, we are going to just use that money to stay at The Farm as often as possible. Try it once, an you will be doing the same thing. All the money in the world could not buy what this family has created. But when you go, be very very good to it, or you will have me to answer to!!! Love, The Overdorfs

  We've stayed for the Christmas and everyone just loved it: big (we had party of 9 plus 3 kids), very well maintained, stocked with everything you need. It feels that you are actually staying in someone's house and not in a rental property. Owners are very nice and responsive. We have caught a nice Christmas day with charming views of the river and mountains. The house definitely ends up in my bookmarks for future visits.

  We had an amazing time. Didn't want to leave. Lovely home, plenty of room, amazing view. Owners were easy to communicate with. Not a single complaint. We look forward to going back. Just perferct!

  We wanted a big group getaway from the city and this was the perfect spot. It had everything we needed, wanted and more! The pool was fabulous in the hot sun! The grounds and the house made us feel right at home... we enjoyed all of our home cooked meals and there were plenty of ways for us to entertain ourselves at night. Thank you so much for sharing your property!

  Our family of kids and grandchildren always spend one week together every summer. This was our first trip with Wenatchee as our destination, and we chose it because of it's great weather, and the fact that we found this amazing farmhouse, which certainly attracted us! We anxiously awaited five months for our vacation, and from the moment we drove up the driveway, we were in love and blown away by the place! First off, the house itself is very charming and inviting, with the most wonderful veranda that captures fantastic views. There is plenty of space for a large group such as ours, but we really spent most of our time outside next to the pool since our many small children wanted to be in it or playing somewhere in the beautiful, large yard. By the way, the cover on the pool when not in use gave us adults a worry-free vacation with the children. The basement is very spacious and cool, and affords a good space for setting up a food/beverage area convenient to the pool. We also took advantage of the wonderful 10 mile bike trail right in front of the property....such a nice trail and a very good ride. We brought our boat and went out several times and so enjoyed boating/skiing/tubing on the Columbia river. We had plans to go out to several local attractions, but as others have said here - we never really wanted to leave. Was there anything we didn't like? No. We have all voted unanimously to return next summer. It was THAT GOOD!

  We planned our annual "Mom's Weekend" at this great rental. Everyone agreed that it is the nicest place we have stayed so far. The pool is bigger than we expected & it was a real highlight for us. It gets deep pretty quick, so if you have younger kids who aren't independent swimmers be sure to bring life jackets or floating devices. Our only surprise was the proximity of the neighbors - the cherry acreage sits off to the side of the house. Moms who only get away once a year can be a little loud :-) The house was beautfully decorated and there was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement, the basketball hoop and proximity to the paved loop bicycle trail. There seems to be a sense of camarderie among the guests who stay here - we used some food we found in the refrigerator and left some for the next guests. This house has good karma! The owners were friendly and helpful - we can't wait until next year!

  We feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to stay at The Farm last summer and are currently planning a return visit. The pictures simply can't tell the whole story. First, due to the layout, it lives so spaciously. We had 4 families, 14 people comprised of 7 adults and 7 kids, and did not even need one of the bedrooms or the sleeping porch. There were so many unique spaces on the 3 floors, indoor and outdoor decks, porches, etc that everyone had whatever they needed depending on their moods. The huge outdoor pool with diving board and automatic safety cover was a huge draw for us. Combined with the fact that it is in Wenatchee, means we can now have summer May through September, instead of just June and July in Seattle. We loved the Wenatchee location as it is convenient to so many places and activities, yet once we got there, we never set foot off the property. We never wanted to leave. We prepared large group meals and ate them in so many wonderful locations; the huge built in breakfast nook, the large formal dining room, outdoors on the veranda, at the picnic table by the pool etc... The views from everywhere are jaw-dropping. We have vacationed all over the world, yet still my mind keeps coming back to this magical place. A great value for my vacation dollars, and no flights necessary! Thank you for sharing your paradise with us.

  Let me start with how clean and fresh the beds were. Each bed is wonderfully set with down duvets and fresh sheets - a pleasure to rest a sun weary head. This spacious home was instantly relaxing with its inviting living room and well appointed kitchen. The pool was spectacular at night under the stars and the plush beach towels were abundant and welcoming in the cool fall air. The basement play room was perfect for the 6 children and hide and seek in the orchard was a favorite. The view of Wenatchee and the river was beautiful. Overall, this home was a treasure and will remain a favorite in our family.

  This was a true find. Everything about the house and property were as described if not more. We liked how the property felt very private, but was a short drive to town and all the necessary shops. We picked up cases of local peaches and made some great pies and my husband and son used a local fishing guide service and brought home some large steelhead from the Wenatchee River. The house is very charming, comfortable and clean and the property if very spacious. I really enjoyed walking along the paved path along the river. Highly recommended.
