  Kim and Kenny graciously shared their beautiful home with my family the weekend after Christmas. The incredable views kept everyone close to the windows to watch the deer travel through the trees. The sunsets were the center of our late afternoon plans. The fully equipped kitchen provided everything we needed for our culinary creations. Grillings steaks and shrimp while watching the daylight slip away was priceless. We had plenty of room for our grandson to play as well as quiet bedrooms for the late sleepers in the family. The fireplace added such a nice comfortable warmth and ambiance as we opened our gifts and enjoyed a glass of wine. Kim and Kenny had every detail covered and the home was so clean and comfortable. They even located a lost cell phone and delivered it back to us! Thank you for a wonderful weekend. It felt like home---none of us wanted to leave.

  How else can you put it into words. The place was wonderful and the setting spectacular. We have never been to South Dakota but have rented vacation homes in the past. The owners were so accommodating. They made sure the house was perfectly ready for our arrival, having everything we would need for our large group. We had eight different families represented. Their shop in town had just about everything if we needed anything extra too! They gave us great suggestions for eating out and for getting our car taken care of when we needed it! You will enjoy their warm, friendly hospitality...as well as anyone else you run into there in the neighboring community of Platte. As previously mentioned the view from the home was breathtaking with the river, countryside and animals (birds, prairie dogs, deer, etc.) Our favorite time was sitting on the deck in the evenings and just staring into the sky at the numerous stars above. The sunrises and sunsets were astounding as well. Another great feature of the home was the 'great room' downstairs with a table to play games on and a huge flat screen t.v on the wall with a dynamite sound system. That entertained the guys and kids a few of the evenings. It felt like we were right there on set! The home was spacious-we never felt like we were on top of each other ever. Plenty of extra chairs and tables. The rooms were perfectly sized and the 3 bathrooms made it much easier for having a bigger group! If you are looking for a place to stay in the area or are contemplating a vacation to this beautiful part of the country we highly recommend River Ridge Lodge. You will not be disappointed!

  We rented this cabin over the 4th of July and it was absolutely perfect! We had the best time and the owners were so accommodating and friendly. You have to see this cabin to believe it, beautiful on the inside and the view was breath taking. I would recommend this property to everyone, you won’t regret it!

  My family and I just returned from a family reunion at the River Ridge Lodge. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The owners are extremely helpful and available, which is always a plus. The lodge itself is simply beautiful. It is sitting on a bluff overlooking the Missouri river, and the view from the deck is spectacular. My family and I spent every morning and evening sitting on the deck, watching the mule and whitetail deer move around the cedar trees. The inside of the lodge is spacious, with great new furniture and appliances. We cooked several large meals there for our whole family (12 people) and the lodge had all the necessary pots and pans, utensils, glassware, etc. Having 3 bathrooms and showers was great for a larger group. They even had a couple banquet tables to use so we could all sit together for meals! All of the bedrooms are spacious, and the master bedroom is huge, and has its own full bathroom. The loft is a really cool feature, overlooking the great room. The beds are comfortable, bedding seems brand new, bathrooms are modern. There were large, comfortable couches in the great room as well as the lower level. And a huge TV in the lower level as well! The place was impeccably clean, had everything we needed, plenty of space, and was quiet and secluded. I have never written a review for something like this before, but I have never stayed in a place that thrilled me like this lodge did.
