Our family chose this magnificent home as a get away surprise for my father's 60th birthday and let me tell you we couldn't have made a better choice! The home is beautiful and the views are spectacular. There were 14 in our party and there was plenty of room for all. When we arrived there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground. We had a great time sledding while taking in the breathtaking scenery. I look forward to returning to Bristlecone and appreciate Ed sharing his home and allowing us to make fond memories there!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Wonderful time and great start to a new year. Property as protrayed, was clean and ready for occupancy, caretaker was professional and helpful. Sledding, card playing, enjoying the fireplace or staring out the window at the incredible views, enjoying the jet tub...I'm not sure how we could have taken more pleasure while there or better memories home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We arrived at this gorgeous home right before Christmas and honestly we couldn't have chosen a better place to get away for the holidays. We were four families with a total of 16 ppl (8 adults and 8 kids) and let me say that we felt as if we could have fit another 10 ppl easy in this spacious home. The kids loved the loft area and enjoyed navigating throughout the home. It was a perfect home for a good game of hide n seek! The wonderful scenery is so breath-taking, words can't do it justice! There was not one day on the ranch that we did not wake up with a smile on our faces because it was just to beautiful not to! We had a lovely dusting of snow on Christmas day which made for an awesome time playing out in the snow for all of us! We took a nice walk around the property and enjoyed each and every direction. The horses were a nice addition and the kids loved seeing them! The caretaker, Stephen, was an amazing man. So helpful and friendly! Ed, thanks again for sharing your home with our families! We all look forward to returning during another season to take in more of the surroundings! Your home was certainly a wonderful vacation spot that we will love to return to! Warm regards, Kate and Ram Sathappan and friends!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Hey Ed, Let me start by saying Thank You!! I don't think that our wedding day could have been any better. Everything was pretty much perfect. It is a spectacular home with a gorgeous view making a perfect backdrop!! Think you'll be getting a few calls about renting out the house in the future, everyone couldn't stop saying how beautiful it was. I know we definitely want to come back in the future, possibly for an anniversary!! Thank you all for everything you did to help make our day the best! The grass where we got married was so nice, also the plants and planters on the patio, just those little details really complements the natural beauty that is all around! You and Stephen were very kind and thoughtful in making our day special, and that is much appreciated!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Where to begin! I am sitting here alone on our last morning watching the sun rise and the beauty come to life, with a cup of coffee, of course. Thank you for allowing us this time at your own little slice of heaven. We have rested our bodies and refreshed our souls with the wonderment of nature and the ability to completely lose track of time our here. It will be in our hearts until we can come again. Thank you so very much.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with our family. We really enjoyed our short stay. But we will surely come back. Our grand children really loved the wildlife. Seeing bears, deer and elk. Our friends and family enjoyed the space of your home, made our stay more enjoying. This is surely a place we would like to come back to. Once again, thank you so much.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Happy New Year! Thank you for sharing your home with us. It is lovely! It snowed and was very cold while we were here – but we did manage to stay warm! We are three sisters, one brother, assorted spouses and three wonderful nephews! We enjoyed the wonderful view, each other’s company, playing games, cooking for dinner and watching a movie or two. We wish for you many happy days enjoying your home on La Veta Pass. P.S. The caretaker is the best!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This beautiful setting provided the perfect place to say good bye to our dear friend, sister, wife (her name) on what would have been her 40th birthday. She loved this area of the world and we paid our respects to her by hiking up to Blanco Peak on September 15th off Huerfano pass. We made dinner, listened to great music, and stared up at the stars every night. The glimmering aspens (turning this time of the year) were gorgeous under the beautiful and majestic peaks (Spanish Peaks). We have all been blessed by this place as we were our friend (her name)!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
