The completely renovated (rebuilt), Western standard apartment is situated in the downtown "Palota Negyed" or Palace Quarter in the "heart of Budapest" as the Budapest Sun calls the part of this lovely district.
(Muzeum korut's East side, "Rakoczi ut' South side, Jozsef korut's West side, Ulloi ut's North side provide the four borders of Palota Negyed. Here you will find the Italian Culture Center, the Hungarian Radio, the old National Museum, lovely "walk only" streets, synagogues and churches, restaurants and pubs.)
The apartment itself is on the fourth floor (with elevator access) of a traditional, brick 19th. Century apartment building on Jozsef krt, facing the courtyard. Peaceful, quite, meticulously clean and very practical are the words that best describes this lovely apartment.
Less than a block away from the subway, streetcars and buses, walking distance to museums, to the famed and newly reopened New York Cafe (Boscolo's new Hotel New York), Hauer Cafe, Museum of Applied Arts (the famous art deco exhibition), Great Synagogue and more, the apartment is ideally located.
If you feel like shoping, there is the newly reopened classical Hungarian department store, Skala-Corvin, and a Farmer's market just a block away, as well as smaller department stores.
The bedroom contains a large double bed, nighttables, and a closet. The bathroom is set with glass mosaic tiles, wall hang toilet, and tiled shower. The living room contains a sofabed, television, dvd player, and there is a dining room table with chairs and an open concept kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, caffe maker, plates, dishes and cutlery. Your apartment contains a small built-in safe for your convenience.
We provide linens, towels and other necessities. The apartment has its private heating system, air-conditioner and its own washer and dryer. Your local host lives in the building, and if there is anything you may need you should not hesitate to contact your hosts, as they would be more than happy to arrange taxis, make reservations to restaurants and cultural events.

So, what are our guests saying? Here are some unsolicited comments:
Hi Eva, The apt was great. It was very central to everything I wanted to see. I walked everywhere and never used the metro. It was great to be able to spread out without housekeeping making visit, having a refrigerator, etc. I know I will visit Budapest again and I would like to keep your contact information so I can plan and hopefully rent your lovely apt again in the future. Thank you and please thank the hosts for me as well. Sincerely, David - San Francisco, USA - October 10, 2007
Eva, We just arrived home in Canada and want to thank you for your help in making our trip to Budapest just super. Your apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. It was extremely clean and comfortable and the location was easy walking distance to just about everywhere. Your help and tips in advance of the trip made everything smooth and Georgy's hospitality while there made us feel completely relaxed. The city itself was magnificent with its wonderful architecture and vistas. Once again, thank you for your fine hospitality and we will certainly recommend your apartment at every opportunity. Dear Eva, we have just arrived back in Australia after spending 7 weeks away; Paris, Lauterbrunnen, Salzburg, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Sarajevo, Croatian Islands and Istanbul. We had an amazing time in Budapest staying in a terrific apartment centrally located on the Pest side of Budapest. It was quiet, centrally located and terrifically fitted out with everything one could want - a home away from home and having a washing machine and dryer was absolutely wonderful. Supermarkets, ATM machines and public transport were at your doorstep and we would recommend this apartment to the most discerning traveller. George and his wife were wonderful hosts answering any queries we had. Regards, A&JB from Melbourne, Australia - October 5, 2007
