Budapest apartment

We had an amazing time. The apartment is fabulous and perfectly located for sight seeing. Tom was the perfect host - very communicative. He gave us many tips for places to eat and also organised a private taxi trim the airport and back again. Would totally recommend. Pat & Jonny from Ireland.

A fabulous few days in Budapest

The property was lovely and equipped with everything that you could need for a few days away. It was easy to access all of the famous landmarks. Tomas, the host, went out of his way to make sure that our stay in Budapest was good.

A week in Budapest

My husband , teenage daughter and I have just spent the most delightful, cultured and fascinating week exploring Budapest. Central to the success of our perfect holiday was of course Tom with his gentle, non invasive approach to supporting and guiding our stay all the way from the organisation of top quality door to door transport to and from the airport, providing top tips for good cafes and restaurant and 'off the beaten track' as well as more popular places to visit. Tom's place is right up our street! It is authentic, quaint as well as providing great facilities; above all, it is very very spacious and airy with air con! The very high ceilings and ample floor room provided more than enough space for our teenager to spread her belongings freely despite an abundance of draws and wardrobes available! All beds are very comfortable and of a decent size and, despite it’s city centre location in a 200 year old apartment block, we had 7 nights of good quality uninterrupted sleep! We had 7 days of breakfast, lunch and dinner slots to fill and despite more than adequate apartment cooking facilities, some of our favourite pitstops were: evening pre dinner drinks at the bar directly opposite the entrance to Tom’s place (well priced and has a lovely local feel), Dobrumba, Mazel Tov, Dionysos and Borze to name but a few all suited our palate and easily accessible on foot or by well connected transport. Thank you Tom for a great holiday!

Beautiful, cosy apartment with balcony

As soon as we made enquiries to book one of Tomas' apartments he was swift, helpful and friendly right up until we left. He kindly arranged taxi to and from the apartment and he was there to great us when we arrived and recommended restaurants etc as well as to show us around the apartment. This is one of the best apartments we have stayed in; centrally located in the Pest side of Budapest it was beautifully decorated and had a 'homely' feel which allowed us to kick off our shoes and relax after a long day exploring this picturesque and interesting city. We can't recommend this apartment enough in fact we will be passing his details onto friends and family.

Perfection!

Everything about this apartment was perfect, we could not have wanted any more. The location was in the heart of the city but was still peaceful and quiet. There were plenty of restaurants, cafes and little shops nearby and it was very close to the Metro Station for getting around easily . We loved the style and decor of the apartment and the little balcony where we could just watch the world go by. There was enough room for a couple of small chairs so suited us perfectly. The bed was really comfortable after a day of exploring and the air on worked well considering how hot it was outside. We loved the high ceilings and original features of the building, and we also loved the rickety old lift! Tomas was an excellent host who spent time to give us tips on how to enjoy the best of Budapest. We took his recommendations of restaurants and realised very quickly how right he was about places. He told us where to get the best Hungarian ghoulash( For Sale Pub)where to get a good breakfast(Bonnie Resto) amongst many other suggestions. We used his map as he indicated where certain places we were interested in were. We will certainly be recommending this apartment to our friends for a wonderful stay in Budapest. Thank-youTomas!

Golden Stars Dream Apartment

We stayed at the Golden Stars Dream Apartment for a long weekend in September. Tomas, the owner has three apartments and this is a two bed apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was very central (two minutes from the Central Market), clean and nice and quiet. It is fully equipped with everything you need and was much cheaper than staying in a hotel. Tomas arranged a return shuttle to and from the airport which was a great help. The metro and tram station are only a few minutes away from the apartment but we managed to walk to most of the sites very easily. We had an early evening flight from Budapest back to London but we were able to leave our cases at the apartment until our shuttle came and met later that day which was very helpful. We would certainly stay here again. Thank you Tomas for all your help.

Fussy Hoteliers approve

As a DE for Torremolinos and an owner of holiday flats (and hotelier for twenty years who got his hotel into the top consumer guide book in the UK) we passed a careful eye over this apartment. Other reviewers have detailed the location which could hardly be better. Booking went smoothly with prompt reply to queries and to the booking and payment for the holiday. You may need to set up paypal if you don't have it. We were met at the airport and taken straight to the apartments. Tomas met us and showed us to the flat in good useful detail. The building is interesting in its own right. The outside is a bit shabby - in a good way - and the entrance hall reminiscent of all those old spy movies. The lift is superb, ancient but smooth and very quiet. It worked except on one occasion which with the flat on the third floor was a bit of a struggle. The flat is quite a different matter. It has been well modernised and is entirely furnished by IKEA. It has one large room with a gossamer curtain down the middle to divide it into a sleeping and a sitting area. The furniture was very comfortable and there were little touches which showed care beyond the price charged. My only quibbles are the bed which is comfortable but set low and a bit of a struggle to get out of when you reach the age when leg and thigh muscles aren't enough on their own. The room curtains were too thin and couldn't be drawn properly From the front door there is a small hall with an OK sized kitchen on the right.It has a full hob and fridge and was perfect for two. It would be rather crowded for four. Next along is a small room with a sofabed and off this a full sized bathroom with shower and a washing machine. Drying was not so good. For two of us this meant that if one wanted to go to bed early the other could use this sofabed room for reading or work but if more than two were in the flat it would mean anyone going to the bathroom in the night would have to go through a sleeping area. The flat has free wi fi which was great for us as we kept in touch with our flat business here in Spain and managed to take a booking which we would have lost if we had relied on internet cafes. the internet speed was superb and I only wish it was as good here in Spain. I got very frustrated with my computer when I got home last night. There were VOIP options which we didn't use as I used Skype on my netbook. I would say this is an excellent flat for two but would be wary of more.

Great time in Budapest

My friend and I were spending a short time in Budapest and both Tom and the apartment were fantastic - Tom was so sweet and had a huge list of recommendations for food and things to do.The apartment was beautiful and the balcony was perfect for sitting on in the mornings to eat breakfast and look out on the street. I'd definitely book this apartment again the next time I'm in Budapest.

Budapest with a balcony

If you want to stay in Budapest, close to many of the main attractions, but not in a sterile hotel, this listing is the one for you. Lovely one bedroom apartment within walking distance of the Gellert Baths, Central Market Hall, merely two blocks from the Danube ... it's a great location and comes with a balcony overlooking Peres Palne u. Some information that others may leave out ... very close to restaurants lining Vaci u., but if you want to stop at a market, Lidl is only a 5 minute walk away (but this Lidl is very busy and crowded). There are other markets nearby in addition. There are bus and tram stops close by, and the Astoria metro stop is only 5 blocks away. The bedroom is very large, but the kitchen is fairly small. It has a refrigerator but no separate freezer compartment. There is a compact clothes washer but no dryer (we were able to dry our items with the clothes rack.) The apartment is in an older building ... part of the charm. However, the elevator closest to the apartment has its quirks and failed to operate several times. The apartment is on the 4th floor ... labeled the 2nd floor in Hungary. Ground is 0, there's a "half floor," followed by the 1st floor then the 2nd. Fortunately there's another (much more modern) elevator across the courtyard that serves when the old one is having its quirks. Really enjoyable stay in Budapest.

Great stay in Budapest

The Budapest apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and convenient to transportation & attractions. My wife & I had a great time there. Tom was a very helpful & pro-active host. Great information regarding location, check-in, transportation, and local area prior to arrival. He arranged transportation to/from airport for us as well. He had excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do. He was also very quick to answer questions during our stay. Highly recommend staying here!

Great location. Spacious. Comfortable double and sofa beds. Small basic kitchen. Most importantly at the heat wave - a great modern air conditioner. Tom vey helpful. Downsides? A minor - Window shadowing not good enough for those who want to sleep late.

Budapest Beauty

It was such a pleasure staying at this apartment in Budapest. The location was ideal, lots to do and see within walking distance and a train station close by. Many restaurants and bakeries in the area. The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable for the two of us with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Tom, our host, was wonderful, arranging transport to and from the airport and giving us recommendations on activities that would be of interest to us. We had a great time in Budapest and enjoyed the accommodation.

Amazing apartment with amazing owner!

We had amazing time in this apartment! Very nice for a couple. Tom, the host/owner of this beautiful apartment is the best you can wish for! He arrange our pick up from airport, met us at the apartment, explain us everything about apartment and area around the apartment . He sent us a lot of info about Budapest, where to go, what to see, where the best restaurants. The location of the apartment is the best, center of the Budapest, waking distance to a lot of attractions you want to visit!!! Just best of the best!
