Located in Barrio Otoya, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of San Jose, (Former President of Costa Rica Jose Figueres home is just around the corner) Casa Don Tomas dominates the highlands of San Jose Historical Center. Built in 1940, the house has been restored to its original beauty by his owner Don Tomas de la Ossa.

The house enjoys the serenity of its surroundings: The National Park and the Simon Bolivar National Park thus giving its guests the sense of being away from the city but only minutes away from downtown San Jose. Casa Don Tomas is located in a very safe and secure area. The house has a 24 hour security monitoring system.

From Casa Don Tomas, you can easily walk to San Jose's main tourist attractions: The National Museum, The House of Congress, The Foreign Relations Ministry, Democracy Square, The National Theatre, Cultural Plaza, The Gold and Jade Museums and the Central Market. Fine restaurants, souvenir shops; fitness centers, movie houses and theatres.

Within walking distance hotels like The Grand Hotel, Hotel Del Rey, Aurola Holiday In, Zona Blue Night Club, other night clubs and casinos.
