Out favorite go-to cabin in the greater Missoula area. We’ve stayed here multiple times and hope to stay again. Clint is great! If you want remote and fun fishing with a lovely retreat to the cabin at the end of the day this is your stay!
Visiting with family. Have stayed here before and hope to return in future. Love this section of Rock Creek. Clint is fabulous host. Cabin very comfortable. Fishing was great
The only thing we didn't like about Clint's place was leaving it. The setting on Rock Creek is like no other. This was our family's 4th trip to this magical spot and we love it more each trip. Its off the grid, but has everything you could possibly need and then some. From bedding to flat ware, everything is better than described. Stay here if you can. We will definitely be back!
Could not have been much happier with the cabin. We had several guys for an extending weekend fishing trip and the cabin was a great base camp. Plenty of parking. Cabin was well stocked and even had extra items that you may have forgotten to pack: Sunscreen, bug spray, coffee filters, etc.
Excited to come back and enjoy the cabin next season.
Clint was a super host. We had car troubles so got there a little later than expected. Clint was quick to help out with the arranged check in which went very smooth. The cabin is off the grid. We had no issues with the solar electricity. Even had wi-fi. Younger generation used it. I only used my phone to set my alarm for fishing. View and environment is everything you would expect in a MT cabin. The sound of Rock Creek rippling by was awesome. Loved the stay and would stay again. Thank you Clint.
What a perfect place!
I've been fishing Rock Creek with one of my best friends for a decade, and we finally decided to include my three sons (17, 15, & 8 years old).
We wanted a base camp for our floats, and Clint's home at Red Bridge was in just the right spot. Essentially, we chose it for geographical convenience.
What a pleasant surprise to have a highly communicative host, who has the best collection of southern rock on vinyl west of Athens, GA.
The home is charming, and not just the record player! The wood stove is cozy, the wrap around deck a perfect place for a cocktail, and the kitchen (and grill) more than adequate for serious cooks.
The sleeping arrangements - two rooms, and a loft with bunk beds - were perfect for our crew.
Plus, when you factor in a hot shower, and WiFi, this was a really nice spot for our group.
Thanks, Clint, for the amazing visit! We hope to come back soon!
Not the 1st time we have stayed with Clint at the Rocking Rock Creek cabin. Its even better than we remembered. This time we brought the kids and their grandparents. Although "off the grid" the cabin has everything a group of six could possibly need and then some. Cant wait to get back soon!
Clint’s cabin on Rock Creek was the perfect blend of off grid solitude and modern comforts. My friends and I though that the cabin was very comfortable and was very well stocked with everything a group would need. We did a lot of cooking and a lot of fishing, and Clint’s place is great for both. We will definitely stay again.
The cabin was exactly as advertised.
It was well equipped and very comfortable for the three of us, although a couple of more people would have been easy to accommodate.
We usually ate dinner and breakfast on the deck overlooking the river - magical.
The cabin is wonderfully placed to explore Rock Creek, and was close enough for us to go to Missoula to float the Blackfoot one day.
The shower and hot water were great.
The beds were comfortable.
And the cabin stayed fairly cool even with hot days.
Hard to bring enough ice - stock up.
Clint and Dan were great.
I would recommend the place to anyone.
This cabin was the perfect location for our fly fishing vacation along Rock Creek. Centrally located to all the best fishing spots, plus fishing right out the back door. It offered a great big deck for happy hour and evening dinners outside.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable for us 4 adults. Comfy beds, nice linens, great decor (I appreciated the various artwork) and a fun selection of vinyl records.
The cabin was a great mix of contemporary and comfortable and rustic, off-grid forest living. We look forward to returning!
We sure enjoyed our stay at Rock Creek! Fishing was great, kitchens well stocked, and enjoyed relaxing inside and around the cabin. Would stay there again!
In the past we've fished near Clint's cabin with limited success, but with water low we found rising fish without risking our lives ... much. Rock Cree is an aggressive stream. Staying at Clint's allowed us to attack the river during the day, and enjoy the views during down time. Kuddos to Dave, the consummate cabin guide.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin is right on the creek - a priceless location.
I spent the entire week on the deck listening to the ever present the riparian sounds and reading. In the morning, my husband (and our kids when they came up) would drive our boat seven miles up the valley and then spend the rest of the day fly fishing as he floated back down to the cabin.
The house is well appointed and had everything we needed.
Very attentive and responsive host.
The cabin has everything you need and it is in the middle of one of the best trout streams. Comfortable, clean, off the grid property but with most of the amenities of an “on the grid” cabin.
Clint’s cabin was the perfect location for fishing Rock Creek! We all can’t wait to have an opportunity to go back. I would not even look for another location, Clint’s is the place to be!
