At the shoreline of the property you can see the ruins of an old working cooperage. A century ago, wooden barrels were built here for the fishing industry and Chester Basin was well known for its many cooperages. Here, chairs welcome you to enjoy the lovely island views and in the summer you will discover why this area is a popular boating destination. The water is accessible so maybe you prefer to go for a swim or rent a kayak.
One of the islands you can see from here is the legendary Oak Island which is famous for many theories of possible buried treasure. Treasure hunters have been searching for the past 150 years and continue today.
