Perfect stay in October

The house is a perfect location to enjoy the Mediterranean Sea whenever you want, as the house and the terrace is right on the beach. The house, the terrace, the yard and the balconies are roomy, bright and is well equipped. We liked just staying there or to come "at home" after day trips. Some roller shutters or windows could use a renewal but for us this did not matter much as the condition of the house overall is good.

Everything was perfect

The location was fantastic: as the house is right in front of the ocean and has a huge terrace it gives you a lot of private space after swimming where you can lay in the shadow or in the sun to tan yourself. It also invites you to spend lovely evenings sitting outside listening to the waves and enjoying your stay. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning but if you keep the windows open at night the temperature stays acceptable. You need about ten to fifteen minutes to the next supermarket and the bakery and around twenty minutes to the train station. The landlord was extremely friendly and helpful! All in all the house is truly recommended!

Great location, great house!

We spent 12 nights at this property and we loved it. It is great value for money. The house has everything you need. It is very generously equipped with lots of crockery, cutlery, tea towels, sheets, towels, big dining table, outdoor chairs etc. The BBQ was well used by us. The owner is very responsive to communication and was always prompt in their replies. The house is very comfortable and though not luxurious, it reflects the price and the photos:) The location is amazing, a short walk to everything you need in the local village and has beach frontage. They provide a couple of old bikes which is also very useful to do some quick groceries. The deck was our beach front and we felt so lucky to be eating our meals and relaxing whilst overlooking the beach and sitting on deck chairs under our shady umbrellas. There is a private outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. Unfortunately, the pictures no longer reflect the beach as apparently there was storm in the last few months and now the sandy beach is washed away. Now you have to cross some rocks to get into the water. There is sometimes some seaweed to navigate but this was no problem, the water was beautiful. The lack of beach in many ways worked to our advantage as the sandy beaches further up were filled with beachgoers and we had nobody using our beach frontage, so we felt it was our personal pool in front of us! The marina which is a short walk had an amazing seafood restaurant which looks like it pops up over summer with plastic tables and chairs and the marina was buzzing at night with stalls and entertainment. A couple of disadvantages...because we were their over summer it was very hot and mosquitoes are a problem at night when you leave the doors open (though this a problem all over Italy we find). Fans (there is one) would have been nice in the bedrooms, but they may have overloaded the power. The electricity would sometimes overload. However the the owners has shown us how to reset the power. This is expected in an old house and like I said, this is reflected in the price. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Corrado and your lovely mum and dad.

Das Haus ist einfach perfekt, direkt am Meer und sehr groß Die Einrichtung ist gut, man hat alles, was man braucht.Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück.Mit dem Auto ist alles gut in der Umgebung zu erreichen Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und haben alles gut erklärt.Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub

Prachtige ligging

Mooie, oude vila op een prachtig punt. Keuken eenvoudig. Aanduiding van het adres moet beter, we hebben flink moeten zoeken en bereikten het huis door telefonische begeleiding van de uiterst vriendelijke eigenaar. Toen we er waren ook heel aardig rondgeleid in het huis. Huis was verzorgd en schoon.

Empfehlung

Die Villa hat eine tolle Lage, geht man durch das hintere Tor, steht man direkt auf dem feinsandingen Strand. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf den Strand und das Meer. Die bereitstehenden Fahrräder sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das Örtchen San Nicola l'Arena ist auch innerhalb von 10 Minuten bequem fußläufig zu erreichen. Dort ist auch ein Bahnhof mit Verbindungen u.a. nach Palermo. Die Villa ist überwiegend mit alten Möbeln ausgestattet. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, die englischsprachige Kommunikation über den Sohn war ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit hier.

Villa les pieds dans l'eau

Très bon accueil dans cette grande villa de bord de mer. La villa était très spacieuse et très propre pour les 7 personnes que nous étions. L'extérieur (jardin,barbecue, terrasse et accès à la plage) est un atout pour cette maison. Comme la saison estivale n'a pas encore commencé, l'endroit était calme, je ne sais pas si c'est la même chose l'été. Le centre du village est tout proche et il est facile d'acheter à manger. On rejoint vite la gare pour prendre le train et visiter Palerme par exemple( 35 minutes), ce qui évite de prendre la voiture. Bref, nous avons passé un agréable séjour !

Grosses Ferienhaus direkt am Meer

Dieses Ferienhaus hält absolut was es verspricht. Wir sind sehr freundlich von dem Gastgeberpaar begrüsst worden und sie haben uns alles bestens erklärt. Man spürt, dass dieses Haus auch von der Familie genutzt wird, da es keine Wünsche offen lässt und alles vorhanden ist. Am Kanu hatten unsere Jungs Spass und ich an der gut ausgestatteten Küche. Die Bikes sind gebraucht, zum tägl. Einkauf in St. Nicola aber ausreichend. Dort gibt es eine gute Bäckerei, einen kleinen Supermarkt, einen Gemüse/ Früchtemarkt und die Apotheke. Zum Baden kann man entweder über die Steine vor dem Haus direkt ins Wasser oder links davon ca. 100m gibt es 4 kleine Sandbuchten, die flach abfallen und von Steinwellenbrechern geschützt sind. Ideal mit kleinen Kindern. In St. Flavia gingen wir mit der Auratauchbasis tauchen, sehr freundliches Personal und schönes, geschütztes Tauchgebiet. Cefalù unbedingt auch besuchen.

Soggiorno a San Nicola

L’esperienza vissuta nella casa di Corrado è stata molto positiva. La più grande risorsa della casa e l’assoluta vicinanza al mare, che consente di fare il bagno in qualsiasi momento. La casa è spaziosa e gode di una bellissima terrazza. Andrebbe però munita di zanzariere. I proprietari sono molto gentili e sempre disponibili. Insomma in definitiva bellissima esperienza.

Great place on the beach

We enjoyed our stay very much. You can just walk from the terrace downstairs to the beach and the sea. We enjoined the terrace, the house and the BBQ. We even could use the canoe and mountain bikes which come with the house. Good place to visit Sicily!

Mooi huis op een mooie locatie, dicht aan zee én dicht bij het drop

Wij hebben met z´n 10-en een hele mooie vakantie gehad. Na een heel gastvrije ontvangst, hebben we genoten van het huis, de zee en het dorp met restaurantjes en winkeltjes op loopafstand.

Herrlicher Urlaub direkt am Strand!

Die Urlaubstage waren für uns als Familie mit erwachsenen Kindern wunderbar. Die Lage und die Größe der Unterkunft waren für uns zu fünft ideal. Auch für ein oder zwei Personen mehr wäre die Unterkunft immer noch groß genug. Wir haben einfache Essen in der Küche selbst gekocht und für die komplizierten Essen sind wir in ein fußläufiges Restaurant gegangen. Jeden Morgen hat der Bäcker geklingelt und frisches Brot und Brötchen angeboten. Zum Baden im Meer brauchten wir nur die Strandtür öffnen und wir waren direkt an der Badestelle.

Exciting Vacation Location for Families

The beautiful location and the general athmosphere of the house make it a superb place for the family vacation. We didn't plan to have car in the vacation, so we have looked for the place not far from public transport. As we have booked the place, the address which we've got was quite far away from the village center, but as we came to the place it happened to be just 10 min. walk from the village center, where you will find everything you need. The family of Carrado is very amicable and helpful. They have met us on the railway station of the village and showed everything we needed in the area. There are lots of activities in the place and you will have no time to get bored, even if the weather is not quite nice. I would recommed the place for the families with kids, since my kids loved to be there. Wish to come again to Sicily.

Fantastisk familievennlig feriebolig

Dette huset er et supert feriehus for småbarnsfamilier. Det ligger på stranda, veldig enkelt for ungene å løpe opp og ned selv, stor og romslig terrasse med full oversikt over stranda. Egen utedusj hvor du dusjer av deg på vei opp på terrassen. Fult utstyrt hus med alt man trenger. Vi var tre familier med to barn hver i alderen 3-11 år. Vi hadde ikke leiebil og klarte oss supert. Matbutikk og restauranter er innen gå-avstand, og det er kort vei til toget om man har lyst til å reise litt rundt på Sicilia. Byen er liten, men hyggelig. Dette er ingen by for shoppingentusiaster, men matbutikker, badebutikker, apotek, frisør, caferer, restauranter og selvfølgelig isbutikker, med herlig hjemmelaget italiensk is. Perfekt by for en avslappende ferie uten stress. Familien som leier ut er fantastisk, super service. Siden vi ikke ønsket å ha leiebil, tilbydde de oss å hente og kjøre oss til og fra flyplassen, vi betalte kun besinprisen. Vi kom ned sent på kvelden og de hadde laget fruktfat som sto klart når vi kom og det var vann i kjøleskapet. De hadde også avtalt med bakeren at han stoppet utenfor døra vår hver morgen kl. 9 med rykende ferske bakevarer. Det eneste som trekker litt ned er at lokalbefolkningen tydeligvis er vant til å kaste søpla si rett på bakken, men kommunen har folk som kommer på morran og rydder både stranda og gatene. Jeg anbefaler dette feriestedet på det varmeste hvis du ønsker en rolig avslappende ferie.

Abbiamo vissuto la nostra vacanza con piacere. La casa, molto spaziosa, ci ha permesso di stare comodi in 11 persone. Abbiamo trovato tutto il necessario, pulito e ordinato, dalla biancheria alla cucina. Anche il fatto di essere direttamente sul mare non è un dettaglio trascurabile. I proprietari sono stati molto gentili e disponibili, non hanno esitato nel risolverci un piccolo problema al nostro arrivo. Anche il paese di San Nicola l'Arena, ci ha offerto delle belle serate organizzate. Possiamo dire di essere pienamente soddisfatti di questo soggiorno. Locatelli Cristiana e Company Bergamo

Familiehuis OP het strand!

Echt italiaans familiehuis met uniek terras aan het strand. Het interieur is netjes en schoon, een mix van jaren vijftig-meubels en een beetje antiek. De woonkamer heeft openslaande deuren en ramen naar het terras, dat werkelijk uniek gelegen is aan het strand. Het terras ligt iets hoger dan het strand zelf, dus er is heel veel privacy. Je loopt met een klein trapje gelijk het strand op! Er is een buitendouche op het terras. Het terras staat vol met keurige tuinmeubelen. De zonligging van het strandterras is op het noorden, wat ideaal is, gezien de hoge temperaturen in de zomer. Er is aan de voorzijde van het huis nog een grote tuin met terras in de zon, dus je kunt altijd de zon opzoeken als je dat wilt. De eenvoudige keuken is beneden, er is wel een afwasmachine. Op de eerste verdieping zijn 4 slaapkamers te vinden (2 aan de zeekant) en een grote badkamer. Slechts één nadeel: parkeren op straat is goed mogelijk, maar als je op een druk moment thuis komt, is het lastig een plekje te vinden. Je kunt ook de auto in de voortuin parkeren, maar dan moet je wel een kleine, smalle auto hebben (Fiat 500 bijvoorbeeld). De weg zelf is vrij druk, maar daar merk je aan de strandkant helemaal niets van. Een aanrader!
