Luxury, spacious, patio, near public gardens

I am glad you liked the apartment. I am surprised about the cleaning issue, as our cleaner is normally excellent. I will have it throughly cleaned straightaway.

We appreciate and value feedback from guests to help us maintain a high standard and give guests what they need. However, I find it astonishing that this guest, Marie, could not find a single positive thing about Bordeaux City Gardens apartment - the close proximity to the gardens or to shops; the unusual spaciousness for a one bedroom apartment, the pleasant courtyard, or the luxury features and fittings. The ​very ​next guests gave ​Bordeaux City Gardens apartment the following review on another website beginning with "A". “Beautifully fitted out apartment a short walk from Bordeaux next to the Jardin Public. Great amenities, very clean, stylish and spacious. Suzanna was very helpful throughout providing recommendations for our great stay in Bordeaux!” Back to ​the unhappy guest: from first entering the apartment, ​Marie told of us of a number of things she did not like, and we did our best to make changes to her satisfaction. She told us the rug was "dirty"​,​ so we removed it​.​ (​I​n fact it looked like variations in the pile creating different tones​.​)​. She pointed out that a couple of pots and pans in the kitchen had some scratches, and ​said​ ​that all the kitchen equipment should be changed yearly. Early during her stay, our property manager went in with the cleaner to do a special cleaning session at our expense, with a particular emphasis on the dryer filter, and anything else not to the guest​'​s liking. We ​also ​​​took Marie's concerns​ on board​, and ​have ​replaced most of the kitchen equipment; any towels which might be even slightly worn and purchased a new rug. ​ ​Marie ​told our property manager that she had decided to leave early for work reasons, and was concerned the train strike might delay her departure. I then received a demand for a refund, and a threat to ​write a bad review​ of the apartment​ if she didn't receive it. ​I​ did give her a partial refund. ​But perhaps it wasn't as much as she had hoped for​.​
