We had an amazing week at Villa Ligaria. The sea view is beautiful and the location couldn’t be better. The beach is only a short walk away and there are a number of delicious tavernas to eat at. Angelika gave us some fantastic recommendations which really enhanced our stay. The cleaning service was great and we were delighted with the gifts of olive oil, fruit and cakes. I would recommend Villa Ligaria to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a stunning location.

Holiday Heaven

Truly lives up to the listing. So welcoming and lovely touches in the villa. Couldn’t have been more helpful. The views are amazing. Very well equipped kitchen and fab to have bbq/outdoor kitchen. Beds are really comfortable. Drive to villa is very steep so recommend an automatic car. The walk down to seafront is only about 6 mins but it is down hand cut steps but we managed well and came back in evenings gone (can take longer road route too 11 min walk). We loved the restaurant on very right of bay (looking at land) - really amazing food above anything else on offer and staff great. Sirroco was fine too and enjoyed the cafe bar which served great brunches and lunches. Take a snorkel mask as lots of fish to see. Will say pool was a little chilly so may be worth paying to heat. Would visit again.

Excellent, the perfect holiday villa.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa. Amazing infinity pool overlooking the beautiful view of the bay. Everything immaculately clean and super comfy sunbeds. The hosts are fabulous, perfect communications before and during our stay, they do everything to ensure you have the perfect stay. Everything is first class, from the warm welcome to the gorgeous olive oil and fruit from the owners own trees. Thank you to all, we hope to return.

Amazing view

This house had everything we needed - large beach towels, fully stocked kitchen including olive oil from the owners own trees, & a laundry room. The view from the pool was breath taking. To our delight, the pool was larger than we expected. I suggest getting it heated if you are visiting in June. There is a path that takes you down to the village - wear sturdy shoes as it’s a little steep in spots. It was nice to have air conditioning, but most of the time we just opened the windows & enjoyed the ocean breeze. The owners were extremely helpful with any questions or needs. Highly recommend.

Beautiful villa in quiet location

Exactly as shown in photos, host communicated really well before and during the stay, really went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. Location is perfect if you want a relaxing, low tourist area, lovely taverna’s with excellent food and wine, we will definitely be going back.

Schöner Aufenthalt im Oktober

Haus und insbesondere die Außenanlage haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Trotz später Ankunft wurden wir direkt am Ferienhaus empfangen. Zum Ort waren es tatsächlich nur ein paar Minuten (50 Höhenmeter) über den angelegten Weg. Dort befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt und einige Restaurants und Bars sowie der Strand. Vielen Dank.

Even better than advertised

Our family of 5 (with 3 teenagers) had a fantastic time in Villa Ligaria and the village of Ligaria below. The villa itself was beautiful, with a stunning pool and all the facilities you could ask for (including AC in the bedrooms and living space, which was a godsend). The beach and village down the hill (via a homemade footpath) were perfectly sized - not too busy, but plenty of tavernas and a mini market. Kostas, who was on site to welcome us when we arrived, was extremely helpful with any questions we had. I can't recommend Villa Ligaria enough!

Entspannung auf höchstem Niveau

Kosta hat uns an einem Supermarkt abgeholt und ist den Weg zur Villa voraus gefahren. Die Villa liegt etwas abseits und hat eine steile Auffahrt. Die herausragende Lage mit einem phantastischen Blick auf das Meer und der Bucht entschädigt für Alles. Kosta hat uns sehr freundlich und ausgiebig alles Wichtige rund um die Villa und der Einrichtung erklärt. Wir hatten zur Begrüßung einen gefüllten Kühlschrank mit Getränken und einen tollen Obstkorb. Der Fußweg zum Strand geht über einen schmalen Pfad und ist in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Bucht hat ein kristallklares Wasser und ist flach abfallend. in den 4 Tavernen kann man sich nach Griechischer Art verwöhnen lassen. Wir waren Morgens kurz am Strand und haben den Tag meist am Infinity-Pool verbracht, der einen unübertrefflichen Blick aufs Meer hat. Die Villa ist hervorragend ausgestattet, liebevoll dekoriert und sehr sauber. Bei auftauchenden Fragen antwortet Kosta innerhalb weniger Minuten. Im Ort gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt, der alles für das tägliche Leben bietet. Wir können den Aufenthalt nur wärmstens empfehlen und müssen 5 Sterne vergeben. Einen ausdrücklich Dank bei Kosta für den Aufenthalt und der typisch Griechischen Gastfreundschaft. Iris und Michael

Best place in this small village

The stone house is so beautiful, you can see the beautiful beach. Its really a great view. The way down to teh beach is nice and short.

Stunning view.

Four of us had a lovely stay in this property. We had everything that we needed, beds were comfortable, area was quiet (we were out of season). As it was April we paid extra for pool heating but that meant we could use the pool everyday, which we did. The view is stunning and we all enjoyed looking across the sea from the sun loungers in the afternoon. It was a real pleasure to be in such a nice villa for five days.

Perfect Summer Extention

Beautiful villa with a nice pool, a large terrace and a spectacular view on Lygaria bay. Oriented in northern direction so it's not too sunny.

Villa is as wonderful as the view

Everything is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and the place is very clean. The view from the villa is amazing. We met the host at the house. He walked us through everything. He was a phone call away the entire time providing recommendations for restaurants, grocery stores and the best local wine. It is a 10 minute walk (straight down) to the beach and many restaurants. You can rent chairs and umbrellas for less than 10 euros. It is a great location, just 30 minutes from Heraklion Airport, about 2 hours from Chania and 90 minutes from Lenta. Great property and great hosts.

Beautiful Villa in a quite costal town

We had an amazing stay the property was beautiful the views are breathtaking you wouldnt need to leave. 1st tip to anyone visiting would be get a car to see the island if you want to get out & about if not lygira is a short walk down very steep steps if you have any mobility issues it may be a very hard walk. The balcony room is breathtaking a morning coffee with the view of the bay was a highlight The hosts were only a phone call away helping us when we got locked out (wind blew door shut) but they sorted it straight away. Pool is beautiful but in our opinion dose need heating to be enjoyed especially evenings. We had lovely bbqs and enjoyed our stay very much we would highly recommend this property if looking at this area. We enjoyed our meals at Liber & the fish restaurant lots of choice if you dont get a car the beach is lovely the water is very clear a bit rocky in places you can grab beach shoes from the supermarket if you need. Few things that could improve the stay for future guests is... - more fresh towels available we did need to keep washing them - more storage for belongings - more shelving in downstairs bathroom & a bit of tlc needed - updated aircon in downstairs bedroom slighty noisy & old it kept us cool which is the main thing. Thank you for having us!

Tout simplement fantastique. L’aménagement extérieur, incluant la piscine, les espaces de cuisson et le mobilier, dépassaient nos attentes. Nous recommandons cet espace magique, nous y avons séjourné 10 jours avec beaucoup de bonheur.
