The Retreat is the award winning luxury holiday apartment adjoining Wolferlow House, the former rectory, set in beautiful scenery on the Herefordshire / Worcestershire border.
The highlight is the exclusive use of a totally private 9m indoor heated swimming pool and a Finnish sauna - entirely to yourselves.
The Retreat comprises a luxurious double bedroom with en-suite shower featuring a king size bed and Chinese furniture. A proper fold-out double bed settee allows extra sleeping in the sitting area. Double doors and a Juliet balcony give views across the croquet lawn. The fully equipped kitchen is tucked in the corner of the generous living area with flat screen TV, comfortable chairs and a dining table. A wide double-glazed glass screen leads to an elevated paved balcony with outdoor seating and distant views over farmland to the church and Wolferlow Court.
The large gardens are open each year for the National Garden Scheme (16 June 2018) and include an orchard, wildflower meadow with ponds, herbaceous borders and distant views across farmland.
Well away from any busy roads the seven acre property is quiet, peaceful and private.
Attention to detail includes the provision of top quality bed linen, towels and luxury towelling robes.
The Retreat is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic and luxury getaway or to bring the baby / younger children and enjoy a family time together.

just so good
Everything was perfect and as advertised - even Sunshine organised for one day !!
Pool was fine and warm Sauna even warmer
what more can you ask
Great place to unwind for the weekend.
Perfect place to get away from it all. Lovely hosts, leave you to it but on hand if required. Apartment was a good size and nicely presented. Everything you need for a self catering get away. The sauna and pool was the icing on the cake. The pool is a good size and a nice temperature. We will definitely be rebooking for another stay later in the year when the weather is little warmer. It will be perfect to bring our little boy and have a bbq on the patio in the summer. All in all 10/10 and no complaints.
Lovely location and lovely hosts. Can't fault anything
The highlight of the holiday was the heated private pool. So much fun to be had in such a small space. Easy commute to the local village to Bromyard. Will highly recommend this place to anyone.
Relaxing and enjoyable stay, but bit misleading as not quite luxury
The property is situated in an idyllic place, peaceful and a real rural escape. It is also spotless and clean and well equipped and the hosts were nice and friendly. However I booked this as a 'luxury stay' drawn by the pool and sauna. The pool was far too cold for me to swim in at all ( I suffer from arthritis) and my husband braved it only once. Similarly the sauna needed 'heating up' before use and so we only used it once which was disappointing. I think if you set expectations of luxury you need the added extra's, for example when we arrived the property was freezing, admittedly it soon warmed with heaters but surely they could have been turned on half an hour before expected arrival time. Little things like a box of tissues, shower gel (even Premier Inn do that ), some milk ( as it is in the middle of nowhere) all add up and elevate the stay from just OK to luxury. We also had no phone reception (understandable) but neither could we connect to the WiFi the whole time we were there. We had a lovely relaxing weekend despite all, just disappointed that after filling out pages of rental contract for two nights (bit odd) and having to give a £200 cash holding deposit on arrival, which set high expectations, it seemed then over sold and overpriced. Sorry guys, you were lovely but didn't feel we got what we were expecting or paid for :( I don't write negative reviews but like to give an honest feedback.
Lovely place to relax.
It was brilliant .every thing was really clean
Bed was comfy. Best thing was swmming pool .we loved it . Only one problem was that there was no net work at all and no Wi-Fi at all . Couldn't get in touch with rest of the family to let them know how we doing.
Apart from that it was wonderful
Thanks for the review. We have had wifi reception problems over the weekend but it seems to be back up and running now with no issues.
Very comfortable and brilliant facilities
The owners could not be more helpful. They are brilliant. They let you get on with your holiday but are there if you need them

Good food and drink is to be expected when the town is surrounded by farms, hop fields and orchards. Worcester (15 miles) Visit the magnificent cathedral, catch up with the English Civil War at the Commandery, stroll along the Shambles shopping, explore the River Severn or relax at New Road watching the county cricket. Ludlow (17 Miles) Architectural gem and gate to the Welsh Marches, Ludlow has a wonderful market, superb restaurants and events and festivals throughout the year. Ludlow Castle dates from 1086 and is surrounded by over 450 listed buildings. Wonderful for foodies!
