Hygiene Policy
Additional hygiene precautions are being take before the arrival of guests:-
a) In addition to an enhanced cleaning routine of the Chalet, commonly used areas and surfaces will be sprayed with disinfectant.
b) A hands-free hand sanitiser dispenser, dispensing an alcohol-based gel, has been installed in the entrance hall of the Chalet.
c) Hand-soap dispensers are available in the kitchen, bathrooms and toilet.

This privately owned 5-bedroom detached luxury chalet, which is located in the delightful Alpine market town of Morzine, has been recently built to exacting standards in traditional Savoie style and offers a high level of comfort. It therefore offers modern home facilities including cable/satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and fully equipped kitchen .It is located within 3 mins easy walk of local amenities and free ski busses. Also 10 minutes easy walk to nearest ski-lifts.
This property is NOT suitable for for people with mobility problems or children of crawling age.
Being South-facing the chalet is very light and benefits from 180 degree views of mountains and ski slopes - from the Cime de L’Aigle and Pointe de Nyon to the ski slopes of Pleney and the summit of Roc d’Enfers. As you would expect from a luxury Savoyard chalet it is comfortably furnished throughout and is fully equipped to a high standard for group or family holidays. This large 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom chalet, which comfortably accommodates 10 guests, is set on three floors and is positioned well above road level.
The open-plan living area is located on the middle floor and comprises a modern fully-equipped kitchen, a large dining area seating 10, a spacious but homely living area with three comfortable leather sofas, log burning fire, 55inch flat screen TV with UK Freeview and French cable TV, radio/CD/iPod docking unit, DVD player and free Wi-Fi. The entire living area has direct access via full length sliding doors to the terrace and a surrounding balcony,
It provides an ideal place to relax and unwind after a day on the slopes.
The ground floor, which is elevated from road, has a large and airy entrance hall with built-in coat & shoe cupboard, one king-size en-suite bedroom, a twin bedroom, a large separate shower room with basin & WC, an a separate laundry/drying room with washing machine, iron, ironing board, a tumble dryer and overhead drying rail.
The top floor is accessed via open tread wood stairs from the living area which leads to a landing giving access to one king-size bedroom with balcony & en-suite, two twin bedrooms (one with balcony), a shower room with basin & WC and a separate WC with basin.
The large modern kitchen, which adjoins the living and dining areas on the middle floor, is fully equipped to a high standard, including Bosch ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Tassimo coffee maker.
A selection of complementary herbs and condiments is also provided.
The whole chalet is extremely warm with electric thermostatically controlled zoned under-floor heating on the lower and middle floors and with electric radiators on the upper floor. Ample hot water is provided by two large immersion heated tanks.
At road level, there is a spacious 2 car lockable garage, and off-road parking space for a further 3 cars. Additionally, there is a large lockable ski/boot room fitted with ski racks and a boot dryer for 10 pairs of ski boots.
If you are looking for a comfortable, homely, traditional Savoyard chalet in the Alps that is close to facilities (meaning you don't need to touch your car until you leave), then Chalet Chanterelle is right for you!
The chalet has a strict “No Smoking”, "No Vaping", "No Lit Candles", "No Open Flames", “No Pets”, and "NO Outdoor Shoes/Boots in the chalet" policy. Please ensure that you bring with you "Slippers" to wear whilst in the chalet.
Please note that:-
1.All payments must be made in Euro.
The 25% deposit is payable to secure a booking. The outstanding balance of 75% of the rent must be paid in full 60 days before the start date of the rental period (Once paid it is non-refundable) together with a compulsory "end of let" "Cleaning Charge" of €235 in 2024/25 and €250 on 2025/26 and the refundable (subject to no damage to property or its content) "Damage/Security" deposit of €1500.
If the booking is made within 60 days of the start of the let the full 100% of the rent, the "Cleaning Charge" and the "Damage/Security Deposit" will have to be paid at the time of booking. The latter will be refunded in full 14 days after the end of the let period subject to there being no damage to the property or its content and there is no additional cleaning required to be done as a direct result of your stay.
French law requires us to collect on behalf of the local municipality a "Taxe de Sejour" which amounts to between 4 and 5 Euro per night per person aged 18 years old or over. This payment will be collected at the same time as your final payment. Should, for any reason, cancel the booking this will be refunded to you in full.

When the "Party Leader" makes a booking they are automatically deemed to have read and accepted our "Booking Terms and Conditions" on behalf of all their party's members.

We are a retired couple with two grown up sons and three grandchildren. However we are very young at heart and sporty.
Whilst we live and are based in England we love spending a great deal of our time travelling the world and in particular holidaying in France. Our family chalet in Morzine is very special to us. As it is our second "Home" we only let it for the very few winter weeks that we are unable to use it ourselves.

Why they chose this property
We have co-owned a chalet in Morzine since 1991 as we fell in love with the Morzine area and its people. In 2005 we sold our share in the co-owned property but wanted to remain in this delightful and friendly alpine market town so we decided to build a chalet to our own specifications. We now have a very comfortable and spacious second home in a part of the Alps that we find most beautiful, uplifting and extremely friendly.
What makes this property unique
We love our chalet because it is custom build to a high specification; it is comfortable and is located within the village, a short walking distance of all the amenities and yet has wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The chalet, which is situated in an elevated position on the sunny south facing slopes of Morzine, has East, South and West outlooks which make it very light and airy with 180 degree views of the surrounding mountains and ski slopes. This is our very special second home which we only let for a few weeks during the winter season.
