We had a lovely stay in the White Cottage. We found parking easy on the nearby (free) carpark and was a central location. The kitchen had everything we could of needed and more. All areas were lovely and clean and we found the beds very comfy. There was attention to detail in every room. We found the starter pack for the fire very useful and wood was available from nearby shops. We would definitely return, it is a wonderful base to explore the surrounding areas.
We stayed here for 2 nights as my son was doing the Pennine Barrier Ultra Marathon, so it was quite handy for that, but it was a lovely surprise to arrive there and feel really comfortable and at home, it has everything you need (except a hairdryer). I would like to return for a longer stay sometime in the future and would highly reccommend to anyone .

Great position in the village.
Great position in the village. Excellent pubs, fish n chip shop & Bollywood Cottage. Co-OP on hand. Comfy cottage, great bathroom & kitchen well equipped. Excellent wood-burner. Only downside as with most properties of some age, a bit of a damp problem, but we were there when very cold and wet weather occurred, sure not a problem in warmer months. Handy having downstairs loo. Clean, tidy and well looked after. Should continue doing well as holiday cottage. Enjoyed our brief stay.
Nicely furnished and cosy. Only downside were the single and double mattresses were really uncomfortable so we slept poorly over the 3 night stay so wouldnt want to stay longer. I also missed having a hairdryer so you need to take one for this accomodation.
Booked in for two nights but were only able to stay for one, very sadly. We were supporting our son in his first Ultra 50. Looked the cottage and will try to return but this time spend more time there.
