The property is quietly located on a sunny hillside in the heart of one of Slovenia\'s most popular wine destinations. Its stylish interior has been lovingly restored to blend modern amenities with original features, including exposed stone walls, wooden beams and characterful wooden shutters. On the ground floor guests will find a spacious living room with a large L-shaped sofa and a flat-screen HD digital TV with Sky. There is also a separate eat-in kitchen furnished with; a dining table, a cooker hob, an oven, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. Beneath the kitchen, there is a wine cellar where guests can help themselves, and at the end of the holiday pay the housekeeper for what they’ve taken.

The house is set in a charming garden where guests can refresh themselves in the private pool, relax with a book under the vines or simply daydream to the sound of bird song with a glass of local wine.

The surrounding landscapes are reminiscent of Tuscany and a paradise for outside activities such as walking between vineyards and orchards or cycling through picturesque villages, wineries and farms to taste the local delicacies. The host can organise a local guide, mountain bikes, (including electric ones) and advise of various excursions around the area...for complete relaxation after a busy day, there is a Finnish sauna.

Location

The property is located in Kojsko a small village in the western part of Slovenia. The surrounding area has a long tradition of winemaking and visitors have the opportunity to explore vineyards and taste regional wines. The Zarova Estate winery is a 14-minute walk away, the Grondali Abitanti Winery a 9-minute walk and Winery Bjana a 5-minute drive.

The Adriatic Sea and its beautiful beaches are a 45-minute drive away and there are three beautiful golf courses nearby; The Golf & Country Club Castello Di Spessa, (a 19-minute drive), Mabulton Villa Golf (a 45-minute drive) and Golf Club Grado (a 50-minute drive).

There is also excellent fishing and various water sports on the Soča River (a 10-minute drive). The Postojna Caves, Škocjan Caves (protected by UNESCO) and the oldest Lipizzaner stud farm in Europe are all approximately a one-hour drive away.

The closest international airport is Aeroporto di Trieste - Friuli Venezia Giulia, (TSF) in Italy, approximately a 40-minute drive away.
