Spacious family friendly barn with luxury indoor pool & tennis courts onsite

The spacious living area which feels light and airy with the original barns beamed ceilings. The cottage is flooded with light it has a double aspect looking out over both the courtyards and the gardens.

The home from home kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of cupboard & worktop space, ideal for whipping up family meals and picnics. Appliances include a gas cooker, Rayburn range cooker (off in the summer), fridge freezer, microwave washing machine and dishwasher. Cupboards and drawers are stocked with cutlery, crockery glasses pans and oven trays. There is also a toaster, Tassimo coffee machine and a cafetiere, tea towels oven gloves and an eco-housekeeping starter box are also provided. Swallow has a large idining table which can be extended to seat up to 10 for a family gathering. The bright living space has 2 large sofas and a comfortable arm-chair, for those cosy winter evenings there is also a wood burning stove (first bag of logs and firelighters are complimentary).
Onsite we have fibre broadband, free Wi-Fi and the cottage has a 43"LG Smart TV with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix so you can watch all your favourite shows. There are 3 bedrooms: the Master Bedroom has a king sized bed and leads to a Jack and Jill style family bathroom with an over bath shower, WC and hand basin. There is a single bedroom which has a 3ft single bed and clothes storage. The 3rd bedroom is a double bedroom with 2 x 2ft6" zip and link beds and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, WC and hand basin. The cottage is supplied with books and games and a Red Kite travel cot, and high chair, other baby friendly extras can be booked in advance of your stay.

OUTSIDE
The glazed patio doors lead out from the living space on to the terrace overlooking a private fenced garden area and out to the shared grassy recreation paddock and play areas, where children can meet new friends and enjoy some freedom in while Mum and Dad can cook up a storm on the charcoal barbecue with a glass of wine whilst keeping an eye on things.
There is ample private parking on site and In the lower car park there is an E.V. charging point. You'll find plenty to do on site, including taking a dip in the luxury indoor heated pool, tennis or pool and table tennis in the games room where there is also a toddler play area.

A weekend away to celebrate a family birthday

Thank you for a wonderful stay!. Everything was perfect ,such a beautiful place. Close to lots of near by beautiful , towns , beaches and pubs. Everything was perfect from start to finish and we look forward to returning one day.

Perfect family stay

Beautiful cottage just as I’d hoped, perfect for our family. Well equipped, everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful outlook - would love to come back for longer in the summer months to make the most of it. The children loved the games room and the swimming pool, and the private swimming hour was perfect. Ideal location for exploring the beautiful Norfolk coastline. We will definitely be looking to return in the near future.

Lovely summer family stay

This is was our second stay at Cranmer and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped for our family with three young children. Owners were helpful with any issues or questions we had. Location is great for reaching so many places and attractions. We’ll definitely be back!

Cranmer cottages are a lovely place for a family holiday, there is plenty to do both at the cottages and in the surrounding countryside. The cottages are clean, attractive, well equipped and have a light and airy feel. Having a manned office on site in working hours was areal bonus.

As always Cranmer delivered on all fronts. Cottage lovely, location beautiful. Peaceful and the open space that Norfolk is famous for. Us and our family have been using Cranmer for 12 years now and always have wonderful holidays.

Peaceful, sociable cottage, excellent facilities

We stayed at Swallow cottage as a last getaway before Christmas. We had previously stayed in End Cottage. Swallow was perfect for us, being open plan, we were able to socialise all together whether cooking or in the lounge area. The cottage itself provided all home comforts and excellent facilities. The bonus is the use of the pool, of which we were able to book extra swims due to availability. There is a games room too, which was perfect for my son to play in, with the use of a badminton table and pool table, as well as a book corner and play area for younger children. The team at Cramer Cottages were super accommodating and kept in touch pre-during and post booking. Will definitely stay again. Thank you

A lovely stay in a beautiful cottage

We booked Swallow Cottage on a last minute deal. I was a little worried about going in a complex with a number of other properties but it suited our needs for a long weekend visit to see family. I needn’t have worried. Despite nearly full occupancy, the site was so quiet and we were barely aware of any other guests. The swimming pool is lovely and such a rare treat. As we had only booked a short stay, we only had one private pool slot but the ‘open’ slots were deserted so managed a lovely quiet swim each day. The cottage itself was beautifully equipped with quality products and a nice mix of modern and vintage decoration. It was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly before booking and when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

A lovely 14th stay!

As the title suggests we are big fans of Cranmer cottages returning every year and sometimes twice. Our children refuse to go anywhere else for October half term. Swallow is our favourite cottage as we get to enjoy having a real fire which we don’t get to do in London and the amenities are so useful especially when the October weather can be unpredictable. The games room and pool get a lot of use in the rain and pool was visited every day! Close to lots of great places to visit like Holkham Hall, Wells next to the sea etc. also great Pubs like the Crown at East Rudham and the Sculthorpe Mill. Sometimes as with any place there can be things that don’t work or need attention but Lynne,John, Nikki and team are always on hand to fix them quickly and sort out any issues so that you barely even notice they happened. We highly recommend them and their eco credentials are impeccable so you can feel extra good about your visit! See you next year!

The converted barns and cottages at Cranmer offer a chance for families to wind down and spend time together enjoying the superb onsite facilities, whilst giving the car a rest! The cluster of properties are perfectly located close to some of the best beaches on the North Norfolk coast whilst nestling in a beautiful rural location. The holiday barns share a fabulous luxury indoor heated pool, two all-weather tennis courts an indoor heated games room and easy access to safe outdoor space from the doorstep. There is the option to share holidays with extended family or friend whilst still having ones own front door by hiring several or all of the properties at once. For cycling enthusiasts there are some great local cycle routes along the quiet back roads all the way to the beach at Holkham.
The whole site has great eco credentials along with several E.V charging points for guests travelling in electric vehicles.
Owners Chris & Becci live onsite. There is a small team of enthusiastic and friendly staff around during the week to help with local knowledge and advice and to help guests get the most out of their stay.
