Nico was an excellent host and gave us great recommendations. Plan your stay here if ever in Pico. Comfortable and beautiful house with amazing views and location. We enjoyed it so much.

This house was amazing. The views, outdoor landscaping, and hammocks were wonderful. Each room was cute, bright, and comfortable. The beds were VERY comfortable and everyone slept well. We had a group of 9, including grandparents and 4 kids. Everyone wanted to stay longer! Nico, the host, was accommodating of our early arrival time. He was incredibly helpful with tips about what to see and where to eat. A lovely, friendly person all around.

The house was fantastic and Nico (the host) was very responsive, hospitable and warm. Nico made our stay very comfortable and came to the house in minutes any time there was a problem. We highly recommend staying at this property.

Excellent Stay!

Our home and hosts were absolutely perfect. Great communication from our hosts and information regarding things to do and places to eat on the island. The home was perfect and the outdoor space even better. We loved sitting outside each night listening to the ocean. We will be back.

Best House We have Ever Stayed!

This house has everything you want in a vacation rental. The property is right on the water with a lovely little pool to relax in. Large sized bedrooms with wonderful air conditioning throughout. The hosts were amazing - great communication and a lovely welcome package with delicious bread and local fruit. The house is walkable to the town and all the lovely little restaurants. I cannot speak highly enough about just how perfect this house is. If you are in Pico - this is definitely the house! Thank you Nico and Eunice

Wonderful view and great walking to town location

Nico and Eunice's property is as shown on the listing. The view is spectacular and the location if perfect for walking to town, restaurants, ferry and the wine museum. Nico was incredibly helpful with suggestions ahead of time and while we were there. He was also very responsive to any questions or left us a nice welcome gift of local items upon our arrival. Our family had a great time at this property and found it to be a perfect location to explore the Madalena end of the island as well as the rest of the island via car. The island is a wonderful place with great hiking, a vineyard to walk through and many other sites/experiences. We would strongly recommend staying at this property.

Madalena Pico island Azores Portugal

My family and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Madalena where we stayed at a beautiful property hosted by Eunice and Nico. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Nico, who generously offered to take us on a brief tour of Madalena. He provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and points of interest, ensuring we had a great start to our stay. The ocean front home itself is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views of the ocean that we enjoyed every day, and well located to easy access to restaurants and activities. Eunice's attention to detail is truly impressive; she has thought of everything to make the home feel like a perfect home away from home. From the well-appointed kitchen to the cozy living spaces, every aspect of the house contributed to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Eunice and Nico's hospitality went above and beyond our expectations. Their warmth and willingness to assist with anything we needed made our trip even more memorable. We highly recommend their home to anyone visiting Madalena and look forward to the opportunity to stay there again in the future. ---Maria

La meilleure place où séjourner sur l'île de Pico. A distance de marche du port et de tous les restos et cafés de Madalena. Nicolau est un hôte proactif et professionnel qui met tout en place pour que ses invités passent un beau séjour... Du panier de bienvenue rempli de produits locaux, aux réservations de visites de vignobles en passant par des suggestions d'activités. Il est un hôte parfait ajoutant une valeur certaine au séjour. La villa possède de grandes pièces et une grande terrasse entièrement aménagée offrant une vue à couper le souffle sur l'océan d'un côté et sur le mont Pico de l'autre. La cuisine est parfaitement équipée pour cuisiner de délicieux repas et admirer la vue jusqu'au coucher de soleil. Nous reviendrons certainement un jour à Pico et c'est sans hésiter que nous louerons à nouveau la maison de Nicolau!

Overall, the experience we had staying at Oceanview with excellent. Our host was friendly, personable, and accommodating. He quickly responded to any request or questions we had. He made reservations for us at several wonderful restaurants. The home itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our party of six adults, two couples and two singles, had plenty of room.The view of the ocean is spectacular. The deck has ample seating for guests to enjoy the ocean view and the stars at night. We were disappointed that the pool heater was not working, and therefore we could not use the pool. The location of the property is perfect. You can walk into Madalena and it’s an easy walk to the ferry terminal. Ocean view is definitely a great place to stay when visiting the island of Pico.
