This bright seafront apartment is a perfect getaway for couples and young families on the South Wales coast. In just a few steps, you can be on the golden sands of Barry Island Beach, getting fish & chips on the promenade or trying your luck in the iconic amusement arcade. With kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, sofa bed, private parking, and stunning sea views, it's the perfect holiday getaway. The perfect family getaway in the heart of Barry Island, with everything it has to offer on your doorstep.

The spacious, newly renovated apartment has a light and airy kitchen and dining area, with the four-person dining table tucked into the large bay window, giving you the most scenic dinner views while enjoying a post-beach meal. Within the same space, the kitchen, which comprises calm white units, a pine worktop and cool blue tiling, reflects the nautical feel of the views outside. It is fully equipped with everything you need, such as a kettle, toaster, microwave, 60/40 fridge-freezer, electric oven with hobs, and washing machine with dryer. The sink unit looks out over the waves, with a fully integrated dishwasher below. Freshly ground coffee is provided - enjoy a cup of coffee whilst gazing out to sea on your relaxing break.
The lounge area has an armchair and comfortable sofa, which doubles up as a sofa bed for the little ones. This is a lovely area to relax after your seaside adventures and is a quiet spot in the building for sleepy children. It also has a 32” high-definition TV and Bluetooth speaker for entertainment, as well as Ottoman storage. If you want to stay connected during your break, we have dedicated Wifi through the apartment.
The large bedroom with a double bed, bedside table with lamp, wall mirror, ample storage, and large windows, has views over the neighbouring bowls club! This property is perfectly suited for two adults or small families with young children, with a fold-out sofa bed in the lounge. Despite being central to Barry Island and close to all amenities and attractions, this property provides a peaceful retreat to relax and unwind after a busy day on the coast.
A fresh, modern family bathroom has a WC, wash hand basin, electric heaters, and shower over the bath near the entrance to the property, flooded with a light from the overhead skylight.
This property doesn’t have a garden, but being so close to the golden crescent of Whitmore bay beach, which is literally across the road, you certainly won’t want to be anywhere else! A few steps off the sand and you’re back in the apartment, making this property perfect for days spent on the beach.
This property benefits from having private access parking, something rare in this bustling town. The private gated car park is situated through silver gates where your No 10 parking space is allocated, and you enter the building through the white door in the car park.
- All bed linen and towels are provided, although we request that towels are not used for the beach.
- A private parking space is allocated for No.10. Please be aware there is a height restriction of 1.8m on this parking space.
- 24-hour CCTV throughout the communal parts of the building.
- Sorry, no pets are allowed at this property.
- We kindly ask that you do not smoke while visiting this property.
- 2-minute walk to Barry Island train station and a 10-minute walk to shops and supermarkets.
- Dedicated Wifi throughout.
- Please note the parking bay is covered and has a height restriction of 1.8m.

Lovely flat, lovely view over the bay and the sea. Everything you need in the flat to make your stay enjoyable. The bed was comfortable but missing slats which meant if you sat on it wrong would fall through. Comfy sofa bed with linen. I would recommend and would stay here again. Owners on hand if you need help. Thank you for a lovely stay xxx

Bad smell and uncomfortable sofa bed

There was a bad sewage smell in the flat that seemed to come from the cupboard containing the mop. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable despite my friend bringing a mattress topper with her. It had springs sticking out. They don’t tell you before you check in that there is either a 38 non refundable deposit or a 200 hold on your account in case you break something. The flat was in a good location by the beach. New bedding needed for the main bedroom

A mix of good and not so good.

The good: great location as it's right on the seafront. It's a clean property and has a nice contemporary feel. The flat has most of the things you need, except those listed below. The not so good: communication with owner poor. Never responded to an initial query prior to booking about late checkout, then didn't respond at all during booking. Got an email after we returned home that they were on holiday and missed our messages (both text and via Vrbo). This is a business and if you are going away, you need to arrange someone else to deal with any queries. The listing doesn't mention stairs at all. We assumed 1 flight of stairs and were prepared for that (one of us has mobility issues), but from the carpark it's 3 flights, and 2 from street. If we had of known this we wouldn't have booked the property. Our bad for not checking, but given the lack of response to messages, and the fact that it isn't listed that you have to climb 3 flights of stairs, this is a big fail. There is a full sized dishwasher (yay), but unbelievably, not enough cutlery and crockery. There were only 3 or 4 of each item. So we had to keep washing everything in order to use it again. But, they also didn't have any tea towels or hand towels. We had to use some paper towel that was there, but it's hardly satisfactory and wasteful. The listing says the property is for 4 people. But whilst it was enough room for two, we couldn't see how you could fit 4 people in without being totally on top of each other. It was a nice enough place, but I think the listing should be more honest about stairs and add more culterly/crockery, at least. And the owner needs to be more responsive to queries and have someone else who can respond when they are away.
