Annie’s Surf Shack is an upscale, top floor oceanfront condo, with unobstructed panoramic views of the ocean and the islands of Molokai and Lanai.
Exceptional Maui location right on the ocean and directly across from Molokai. Watch sea turtles year round and whales in the winter and early spring directly from the lanai. Direct oceanfront, you look right down at the water. Drink coffee on the lanai in the morning watching the sunrise and have a cocktail watching the sunset in the evening.
Our condo has been recently remodeled and is stunning! One bedroom with a queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room. Hear the waves crashing while you sleep. This is not a big resort. Our condo is located about half way between Lahaina and Kapalua. We are walking distance to restaurants and a small grocery store.
There is a sandy beach right down the steps at our building. You can snorkel out front too! We have beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear available. We are within walking distance of Maui Dive Shop if you need anything.
Maui Brewing Company is "stumbling distance" from our condo. They have great food and beer! There is a local coffee shop, sushi, pizza, fast food and asian food too.
There is a bus stop and Uber is on Maui too. Most of the things you're going to want to see are significant distances apart, a car is almost necessary unless you just plan on hanging out at the condo!
If you’re looking for a Local Zen getaway, this is the place for you.

Other things to note!
★★★★There is a beach replenishment construction project that was scheduled for May of 2018 at the South end of the condominium complex. The work has been held up in the permitting process. Work is scheduled to start the first week of July.
THE CONSTRUCTION WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH YOUR VIEW. Though you may hear construction noise between 8AM and 5PM. But you will most likely be Beaching it, visiting Lahaina, up on Haleakala or driving to Hana. There is no work on weekends.
There is no work being done on the buildings. The work will be done on the south end of our property at our Sea Wall. We anticipate that construction will occur weekdays during normal work hours (Monday through Friday 8-5) and should not interfere with anything at our condo unit although you will most likely hear construction noise during the day.
We have deeply discounted the prices on our calendar to reflect this issue for the entire months Summer - Our normal high season rates are $269 per night. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the construction. See our photos for construction map.★★★★

There is a cleaning fee for each stay. We believe in paying a living wage to the maids that clean our condo. Hawaii is an expensive place to live and raise a family. We hope that you understand why our rates are what they are.
***We do not have daily maid service. It is available for an additional fee if you are interested.***
If you desire a stay greater than 30 consecutive days, please contact us for information.
We use Trinity Maid Company for our cleaning service. They are excellent at what they do. The cleaning fee for each stay which is included in your total from Airbnb. ★★There is no air conditioning in ANY of the condos in our building. It is really not necessary in this area of the island. We are fortunate to be in an area that gets the tradewinds VERY reliably which keeps the condo at a nice temperature - usually 70-74 degrees. We bought this condo because of the area knowing that the west Maui trades blow through here.
However, there are times when the wind doesn't blow. It's rare but does happen. It's tropical here and a bit different than what you're probably used to. The temperature averages between 70-82 F during the day. It is pleasant but not stifling humid heat! We have personally experienced about 3-5 "uncomfortable" days in the five years we've been in the area so we don't want to tell you it can't happen.★★
Sandy Beach Entry: The beach can be directly accessed by using the stairway to the far north/right side of property facing the beach. You will walk down the stairs and and land on narrow sandy and a little rocky beach. Walk for about 25 yard (22.5 meters) and the beach will widen out. There is plenty of beach for you to lay out on. There some nice shady areas too. The sand is very soft here. I like that sand squeaks between your toes when you walk.
Please see our photo of how to enter the beach!
Note: All beaches and shoreline in Hawaii are public property. Shoreline public access is an important common law right that is shared by local residents and visitors alike. The right of access to Hawaii’s shorelines includes the right of transit along the shoreline and within beach transit corridors. Beach transit corridors are defined as the areas extending seaward of the shoreline and these areas are considered public property.
There is a strict "no hanging any clothing or towels over the lanai railing rule" at Kahana Reef. Please hang clothing or towels on the hooks provided on the Lanai "OUT OF VIEW" or in the bathroom. The owners will be fined for not observing this rule. This fine will be passed onto the visitor if they are found in violation of this policy.
