This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo boasts 1174 Sq. ft. with a large gallery. It is located on the third floor of the building, easily accessible by elevator.

Traditionally decorated with the history of the building in mind. We have added framed newspapers dating back to 1890 to the decor.

Why Vacay Nola Team chose Downtown CBD

It's a great location and within walking distance to everything. So close to the Convention center, The House of blues, Bourbon Street and the River. You can enjoy tours on the Ferry or River boats, also shopping at the Canal Place Mall or Antique shops on Royal street. Feeling in the mood to be a bit more laid back, take the streetcar to the garden District to enjoy a different view.

What makes this condo unique

This property was the home of the Daily Picayune newspaper in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The history very interesting and the building has a lot of character.

Great Location!!

  • 4 of 5

Overall our experience was really good and we enjoyed our stay. Great location, quiet, safe, and the balcony was a nice thing to have to hang out before dinner. Spacious two bedroom apartment with enough room for 2-4 people. Nice exposed brick and kitchen layout. Close to good restaurants, bars, and easy walk to the convention center. Close walk to the French Quarter but far enough away from it's craziness. The only thing we would recommend from the owners would be to clean the bathroom tiles. They looked a little grungy as did the bathroom mats. Several other renters have also noted that the toilet pitches forward and boy were they correct. It is time for the owners to fix this issue. Hire a plumber ASAP! With that said we would definitely stay again in the future. No regrets. If you like seafood and are looking for a great place for happy hour or just in general we would recommend Seaworthy just a short walk away.

Very Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in the Picayune. The condo was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Location couldn't have been any nicer, with only a two or three block walk to the french quarter. Probably the most comfortable beds we have slept in with regard to a condo, hotel or b and b. Only issue was a loose toilet off the master bedroom. We hope to return. I highly recommend this condo. (If you are driving, there is a Premiere Parking garage just across from the condo. You will need to call them to reserve a spot....very reasonable!)
