Nice 1 bedroom south west facing apartment, directly on the sea in the small & quiet village of Callao Salvaje. The apartment is on the ground floor of a small 2 floor building, 1st line on the sea with fantastic views on la Gomera, El Hierro & La Palma. There is 1 bedroom with a new big bed and wardrobe, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with washing machine, a nice and big lounge (with fan) with a 37' plasma TV flat screen & a nice garden, nice dinning area & stunning sea views. Wifi adsl conexion. Your tranquillity is guaranteed! The only notice will be the sound of the birds and of the sea!!
Services nearby: Beach ,Swimming pools at 400m, bus & taxi stations, French bakery, supermarkets, bars and restaurants, permanent medical service 24 hours, chemist, rent a cars, promenades. there are numerous beaches and activities within a 10 min drive like Playa del Duque, Playa Fañabe, Playa las Americas.

Wonderful stay

This property is beautiful and a short walking distance to various restaurants and a grocery store. We were so pleased with the views from the apartment, it made it difficult for us to want to go anywhere else. Marianne was pleasant and easy to work with. We would certainly stay here again.

Wunderbare Lage mit allem Komfort

Das Appartment ist sehr gut ausgestattet - es fehlt wirklich nichts! Zum Ortszentrum sind es 500 m. Dort findet man alles für den täglichen Bedarf. Marianne ist eine charmante und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.

Relaxing holiday in apt 404

The property is situated in a quiet area but only 10 mins walk from shops, restaurants and the beach. From the apartment, it is possible to sit and enjoy the sea view, in addition from the patio and garden also listen to the sound of the sea on the rocks below. The apartment is well equipped, and host Marianne most helpful.

Tolle Meerblick-Wohnung

Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet und hatte alles um einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu genießen. Schade, dass jeden Morgen die Terasse überschwemmt war, da vom Gärtner übermäßig, die Pflanzen gegossen werden. Das Badezimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen und bedarf einer Renovierung.

Huge disappointment due to a misleading, exagerated ad! A good view does not make up for everything!

The view is as seen on the pictures. The WiFi is good. But: the apartment does not come with a pool! There is a public salt water pool nearby that opens at 11am. You need to pay for every entry! You pay 5€ per person and a sunshade costs 5€ on top. You cannot take your own food or drinks. We felt very misleaded when Marianne told us the truth on the day of our arrival since the ad did not show this at the time we booked. Unluckily we did not react immediately. When we confronted Marianne after a few days she wrote she felt sorry since we misunderstood "private pool" badly. She said it was the only feature she could use to show there was a pool to the apartment. If there is de facto no pool to the apartment, you cannot name it as a feature at all - in our opinion. Marianne offered us insulting 30€ (which equals one pool day if you go there twice per day with two persons; we stayed for 13 nights). She was so bold as to tell us the beach was for free. For us it was not about the money but about the fact of renting an apartment under false expectations. She said that she tells all the visitors on the arrival about the costs of the pool - sorry, but why not naming it transparently in the ad in first place? We contacted homeaway and they supported us. Marianne then again was so bold to ask us to take care of the complaint instead of doing it herself. Luckily she had to delete the feature private pool. Never would we have rented this apartment if we had known all this before. Do not think we are fussy here. What we did not mind: a window that could be opened from outside of the apartment until we recognized it; the safe being so small that only smartphones would fit in. We ignored that it often was hard to find a parking slot - especially during the weekends when the locals were partying at the pool. We did neither mind that the impression of the apartment in general was a little bit over the hill - which is not reflected on the pictures - nor the cockroaches or the ants. We lived with the fact that the apartment complex was huge; on the terrace you felt like sitting in a restaurant since the neighbors are very close - which also cannot be seen transparently on the pictures. Marianne might answer to this that she did not mean to mislead and so on - but think about the term "private pool" and what you think it is and if it is credible that anyone would ever think that a private pool is a public pool! The exagerated, misleading ad ruined our holidays!

Great apartment with seaview in quiet area

We enjoyed a weeks stay in this very well equipped apartment and on its nice terrasse with sunbeads, looking at the seaview and La Gomera, listening to the waves hitting the cliffs. No traffic or other noise is heard. The walking distance to the center of the village of Callao Salvaje with the nearest supermarket and restaurants is around 500 meters, absolutely acceptable to us. The hostess Marianne is very friendly and helpful. Highly likely we will return to this apartment in a future stay at Tenerife.

Lovely apartment overlooking the sea

Had a lovely relaxing week away and the sunny warm weather helped too! The apartment had everything in it we needed and more - thank you Marianne for making us feel welcome and being helpful. Felt bad having to message you to ask questions - maybe a folder in the apartment with general questions answered e.g where to take the rubbish and empty bottles etc that other people staying could refer too? Thanks again and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment to others.

Beautiful Apartment with lovely view to L Gomera

We just spent a week at this lovely light, airy apartment. The end wall is all glass panels which fold all the way back for the scenic view across to La Gomera and to El Hierro and La Palma further away. We had several beautiful sunsets and twice a seal swimming just off shore. The apartment is excellently furnished and equipped and Marianne is very welcoming and lives nearby. The neighbourhood is very quiet with no traffic and it's an easy walk to the shops and beach. It's a good idea to print out a google map of Callao Salvaje. Our taxi driver from the airport did not have a sat nav and needed our map to find the Calle Isora cul-de-sac. This is a wonderful apartment to stay in.

Perfect last minute getaway

We were so lucky to find this lovely little apartment at very short notice. It was perfect - quiet, incredibly well equipped, within easy reach of local restaurants and all this with a wonderful view. We would not hesitate to recommend the apartment and would love to return sometime. Thank you Marianne for being so welcoming and helpful.

Fantastic value for money in Callao Salvaje

Fantastic apartment in Callao Salvaje. Everything you need is there. If anything maybe too much! I've never been in self-catering and not needed to buy something - until now. The location is idyllic. The neighbourhood is quiet but within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants and bars. Ideal for a bit of rest and relaxation. I'd have no hesitation returning or recommending this apartment to friends. Finally, thanks to Marianne for being very understanding regarding my late arrival.

Ideal vaccation

Marianne, thank you so much for having us. Tenerife is a wonderful place and we will definitely visit it again. The apartment has everything you will need. Kitchen is fully equipped and there is lots of space for 2 people. It is a bit more outdated than on the pictures, but the view is amazing and terrace is wonderful. The apartment is located in quiet area with some of the restaurants. Pool is just around the corner and beach is in about 7 minutes walk. Overall we would visit your apartment again, because of the views and good value for money.

Idyllic apartment with fantastic views

We were made very welcome by Marianne who met us at the apartment even though it was late in the evening. From the moment we entered we were delighted, the standard throughout was superb with thoughtful attentiveness given to both design and furnishings. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and kindly stocked with various basic necessities to prepare meals. The views from the terrace and garden, which directly face the sea with La Gomera in the distance, are captivating by day and night - we spent every evening sitting on the terrace watching the sun setingt until it finally disappeared on the horizon. It is only a ten minute stroll to the village where there are various shops (the French bakery being our favourite), a few supermarkets, a selection of bars and some good restaurants, our favourite being Casa Maria. The entire apartment and surrounding area is quiet and private providing the perfect location for a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you Marianne. Sue & Pete

Ouer best hollydaytrip to Tenerife

We spent two wonderful weeks in this apartment. Everything was exactly as we had expected and given the impression by the pictures and description. The pictures do not lie. The bedroom is even bigger than it seems on the pictures. Sitting every evening on the terrace with a drink and enjoy the sunset was wonderful. The apartment is only 10 minutes walk from resturants and bars in Callao Salveje, and it is lovely free of traffic and noise. Highly recommended

Wonderful days in Callao Salvaje

We spent 11 great days in that wonderful apartment. Located 5 Minutes from shops, bars and restaurants and 8 minutes to the beach we enjoyed our holidays so much, especially the quiet and peace of the ocean! The seaview is just amazing, the livingroom is so comfortable and the kitchen equipment is 100% complete. I didn't miss one single thing to prepare our meals. Only the bed was a bit to soft for my back but that's okay!The meet and greet with sympathic Marianne was nice and so easy! Thank you, Marianne for these great days on your parent's place - we will come back soon ;-)

Appartement Callao Salvaje

We hebben hier eind oktober 2011 een week gezeten. Mooie lokatie, lekker rustig, prachtig uitzicht op zee. Het is een klein rustig plaatsje met een aantal restaurants; hier hebben wij niet gegeten. Wij hebben in Los Christianos en Santa Cruz gegeten. Het appartement is, vinden wij, mooi fris, modern en sfeervol ingericht en zeer kompleet uitgerust. Helaas had de eigenaresse het niet zo goed schoon gehouden: op de avond van aankomst zaten 8 grote kakkerlakken in de keuken! De volgende dag hebben we kakkerlakken verdelger spray gekocht en gespoten, toen lagen er 's nachts bij thuiskomst nog eens 5 te kreperen op hun rug. 3 dagen later hebben we nog eens gespoten en de volgende morgen vonden we toen nog eentje. Het bed was erg klein met een veel te zacht matras wat ons behoorlijke rugpijn heeft bezorgd. Verder is het echt een mooi appartement op een erg mooie lokatie. Wie de eigenaresse vraagt een dag voor aankomst goed met die kakkerlakkenverdelger te sprayen en een zacht matras gewend is, heeft hier een heel goed adres!
