Beautiful place on the edge of town.

The property was perfect. We enjoyed walks on trails in the mornings and walked downtown to enjoy the picturesque views. Travelled by train to Bath to enjoy the must see history. The house is perfect for a family with lots of room to park a rental vehicle. The beds were comfy and the property was very clean and well appointed!

Family vacation

We absolutely loved our stay. The house and property exceeded our expectations. We traveled from the states and had everything we could need for our 3 day stay. Our two kids (9 and 11) loved the playroom and the outdoor area. The playhouse was a big hit! The playground and park nearby were a bonus. The location was perfect for some peace and quiet but also a short walk to the town center. We made so many wonderful memories in BOA❤️

Fantastic house for families

We had a lovely time. The house was perfect for us, well located for exploring the local area. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with equipment for cooking. It was ideal for our children (2 and 4) I cannot overemphasise how amazing the playroom is - full of toys and even a piano - and the beautiful handmade two storey playhouse in the garden. Our kids had so much fun, I am sure any other place we stay will now be a disappointment to them! Thanks very much for hosting us.

Short stay in cozy BoA

The house has everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Overall clean and well equipped. The kids particularly loved the playroom, the garden and outside toys. The nearby playground was also great. A bit far from town and the store for smaller feet, not really an issue for us adults. Some smell of mould and stains of it on curtains on the main bedroom upstairs, the owner was informed about it and said she would take proper care of it. Easy communication with owner.

Cozy family home, great for exploring Bath

Beautiful home and gardens in Bradford-on-Avon. We only stayed at the property for a couple of nights while exploring Bath and the surrounding area but wished we had chosen to stay longer. We stayed near the end of a 3-week trip and of all of the VRBOs we used, this was the one that felt the most like a home. Everything was just as advertised. One note for other travelers: washer/dryer is only available for longer stays. If you are staying here in the middle of a longer trip like we were, you may or may not be able to use the laundry (may have to make special arrangements if you are only staying a couple of nights). I would inquire before booking if this is a concern.

Home away from home

The home was lovely, truly a family home where we felt comfortable immediately. We were traveling with a small toddler and a baby, and the house was set up perfectly for it. If you are a couple traveling with 1 or 2 small children, this is about as good as it gets! The play-room and kids bedroom is so amazing. Our daughter was entertained endlessly. The living room is cozy - not a place to host a party - but perfect for 2 people after the kids have gone down. Jodie (the host) was incredibly responsive, friendly and accommodating. We stayed for a month caring for an unwell family member, and honestly we wouldn’t have been able to do it without being based here. It was truly a home away from home. Thanks Jodie and fam!

We are a family of 4 that loves to travel and explore new places.

Why they chose this property

The house is situated on the edge of Bradford on Avon (Holt side), so benefits from being in close proximity to open fields, yet still within a 15 minute downhill walk to the centre of town. On one side, the garden shares it's border with some allotments (still in progress) and just beyond, a nature park, ideal for walking and cycling around on the looped path. There is also a natural play area for children and some benches dotted around the park. There is another play area for children, this is just a stones throw from the car parking area at the bottom of our garden. On the other side of the road there is a small, concealed woodland area (to the right of some more allotments). This is a lovely place for children to explore, play and make dens. These woods lead to a further 2 play areas that are often very quiet. To the rear of the house there is an Annexe that is occupied and behind that there is one further residential property and business units beyond. Across the lane there are open fields which offer somewhere to walk or exercise.

What makes this property unique

Westdale House is a family home located within Bradford on Avon. You will have use of the entire house apart from 1 small room upstairs, leaving you access to 3 double bedrooms. The house is perfect for families and couples, with the bonus of a downstairs playroom and a garden with an outside seating area.
There really is something for everyone in the local and surrounding areas. However, if you just fancy a cosy day in, we have board games, books & toys for little ones, Playstation4 for big ones and an Apple TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and other apps & games for you to enjoy at home.
