This 5-star rated acommodation can cater for 4-10 guests close to the river and nature reserve, secured parking, barbecue area and dog secure garden, boat hire, wide screen TVs, DVD, bath and 2 en suite shower rooms, bed linen, towels, heating included in price, close to local shops, pubs, bus routes. Ideal two families sharing or short breaks for 2-10 people in one apartment. Four bedrooms in total two doubles and two twin bedded, an extra 2 people ( small extra charge) can be accommodated on two z beds with toppers which are located in the larger bedrooms, idea for children or guests stopping for a night. Discounts for longer stays and parties.2 Small/Med dogs welcome. 10 min drive into Bath centre with the famous Roman baths and Royal crescent.
Excellent local facilities and transport links into the centre.

Three of the bedrooms overlook the garden, and are comfortably furnished, fully carpeted with fitted wardrobes and portable TV/Videos in two of the bedrooms.
There are two en suite shower rooms and two other bedrooms that share a large bathroom with bath and shower. The rooms are painted in soothing blues and pale greens. The second bedroom has two single divans.
All bedrooms are equipped with hair dryers and a supply of magazines and books.All beds are equipped with goosedown duvets and high quality bedlinen.
The main bathroom has a large corner bath with over head shower and a hand shower on the taps. Most of the floor and wall area is tiled and the work surfaces are marble. The en suite shower rooms are also tiled with marble surrounds, heated towel rails, shaver sockets. All bathrooms are supplied with large bath towels and hand towels for each occupant.

The dining area sits 8/10 people comfortably and table mats and cloths are provided.

In house catering can be arranged for larger parties. Beauty treatments and pampering sessions available by arrangement. There is boating available nearby.

Great stay in Bath!

Wonderful property for a family reunion that was close to multiple bus stops which made it so easy to get in and out of Bath! Ideal for larger groups and off street parking was a bonus!

Lovely backyard

Quaint house with lovely backyard. It's on a busy road and there is a gated courtyard, which can be tricky pulling into/out of, but there is on street parking available and room near the backyard as well. Good for groups. All bathrooms on 2nd level. Dated, but clean. Washing machine did not work. Attentive host who left fruit and snacks, which was a delightful touch. We didn't utilize hot tub because kids are not allowed, which was a disappointment to our kids.

90th birthday celebration

The house is lovely with a perfect sunny garden, an excellent place for a celebration tea. It is well equipped, the rooms are light and airy. Sheila is an excellent hostess, she left a beautiful welcome basket as well as champagne to celebrate Moms 90th birthday (such a lovely tought). My sons and grandsons and I really enjoyed our stay.

Family trip for Daughters 30th

This property was just what we were looking for very clean, well equipped and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. Sheila was incredibly helpful right from the start and answered all questions promptly, the general area has all you need and Bath is a short drive or bus away. We had a thoroughly good time, the addition of the Hot Tub made it even better.

Family holiday

Rented the 2 apartments. Lots of room for family of 8. Well equipped. Beds really comfortable. Hot tub a bonus. Only issue was hot tub was cool on first night so couldn't use it which was disappointing. Not far from Longleat which was reason for visit.

Lovely weekend Stay

We had a lovely weekend at Shelia's, the property is very homely and spacious, with lots of space upstairs for a group. It was nice to have such good sized bedrooms. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening. The area is of Batheaston is beautiful, close enough to Bath but away from all the hustle of Bath centre. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely return.

Great location

An ideal place for a reunion of old school friends - walks from the property and an easy journey into Bath. A well equipped kitchen, space for sitting out if the weather is warm enough and comfortable bedrooms. A very friendly host, making communication for arrival and departure easy. We had a great weekend!

Highly recommend

First impressions from our group was: "Oh wow this is beautiful and so spacious!" We all agreed it really is a wonderful place to stay, with a home from home feel! The Garden is just as lovely with plenty of seating area and a lovely sun trap too! The welcome hamper was very thoughtful and much appreciated by all! If ever we were to come to Bath again, we wouldn't hesitate to book avondale! We loved it there and felt sad when we left. Thank you Sheila for everything! Thank you Sheila for opening yourus all.

Great property on the outskirts of Bath

Really enjoyed ourselves. As a family of 5, lots of choice in bedrooms. Balcony seems to get the sun all day which was nice to sit out on even at the end of October. We chose to park at the rear of the property as we have a largish car and it was a bit tight through the gates of the property. Sheila was very communicative and we wanted for nothing.

Comfortable stay in Batheaston

This was a well appointed house, with plenty of space, on the outskirts of Bath with an excellent bus service or a do-able walk by the canal. The characterful house itself was nicely furnished, with good beds and bedding, and plentiful bath/ shower rooms, though the plumbing was a little eccentric at times! The only real disadvantage was that access was via an electric gate - fine in itself, but the parking area required a degree of skill with a large car. Our hostess, Sheila, was charming, explained the vagaries of the recycling system, and left us a delicious basket of goodies.

Nice and clean house, surroundings not ideal

We have had a great stay in this house. Everything we needed was there and you can feel that the landlords put much effort and passion in equipping this house. The garden was also really nice. In order to go to Bath you have to take the car, though, and the street was quite noisy, unfortunately. Apart from that thanks for everything!

The house is very large and perfectly situated for exploring Bath and its surroundings. It’s very well equipped and Sheila was a lovely host, who even supplied us with tea scones and wine for our arrival.

Excellent property

Visiting Bath for three days with our sons and their partners. Two en-suites and 1 separate bathroom made life very easy. The beds were very comfortable and linen and towels lovely and clean. Everything was thought of e.g. plenty of plug sockets and mirrors in the right place, teabags and coffee etc supplied. The garden was lovely too. The whole property had a very homely feel and communication with Sheila was very good. We left the cars at the property and took the bus (bus stop only a few yards up the road) or taxi when going out in the evening. The property has off road parking with a large solid gate so it felt very secure. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise too, thank you very much Sheila. Very happy to recommend this property

We came for a wedding but had time to chill out in the lovely garden and eat the lovely scones, cream and jam left for us Would of used the jacuzzi if we had time Definitely should of booked for longer, village lovely

Lovely property stunning views of the river avon and gardens. Location fab near bath and bradford upon avon.owners very welcoming and property beautifully decorated and equipped with everything needed for few days stay. Will be staying again!

A friends’ reunion in Bath

The size, location and character of this property gave us the opportunity to enjoy our reunion in comfortable surroundings. Bus access to see the sights of Bath is very easy. There is a lovely stroll into town (takes about an hour) along the canal. We found the owner to be very helpful…..she answered our questions and dealt with any concerns immediately. A very pleasant stay!!

Great location and hosts

The property is well situated on the outskirts of a small village and very close to Bath. The hosts had made the house feel homely and welcome. Loved the touch of the welcome basket! Great communication with the hosts and all the amenities needed were there. Great opportunities for walks in amazing landscape. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable break was had by all.

Family celebration for mums 60th

Really great and VERY clean property in a super location for nice walks along the canal etc and convenient for the Bath city center. Sheila the host was very helpful and the generous welcome basket was very much appreciated . If you have young kids and or pets the perimeter is secure and safe which for our two dogs was brilliant.The property is well kept and equipped Strongly recommended .
