Being the focal point of the intriguing complex of antique stores and cafes known as the Quayside, the Custom House is a reminder of Exeter's former importance as a port. Sidmouth and Exmouth, both a short drive away, have beautiful beaches and mark the beginning of the 95-mile Jurassic Coast, which offers plenty of chances for recreation, sport, and discovery.
