Alvor is a seaside fishing resort located within the western region of the Algarve, offering a variety of authentic restaurants and bars. The beautiful beach of Tres Irmaos is just a 5 minute drive away and the famous beach of Praia da Rocha just 10 minutes away.
If you want to stay local there are an abundance of pastelarias and local restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. There is a modern mall just 15 minutes away in the city of Portimao.
You have the very popular Slide and Splash park just a 15-minute drive away in Lagoa. Zoomarine is also easily accessible just a 30 minute drive away.
## Transit
There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. Buses and trains do not go very often and a (rental) car is recommended
