RockHill Ranch-Joshua Tree Retreat, Secluded and Beautiful!

RockHill Ranch is a serene and gorgeous five-acre oasis in the Joshua Tree desert. It has breathtaking 360-degree views and a private, climbable rock mountain. The large two-bedroom, two-bath, fully-equipped house has been meticulously renovated and decorated with beautiful decor, while remaining comfortable and casual. The original homestead from the 1950’s was built with rocks on the inside a truly unique space. It’s the perfect get-away for artists and writers, couples, families, and anyone seeking a peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating vacation. The back yard is a ton of fun for rock scrambling and then relaxing and cooling off in the pool (open May 15-Sept 29).

A fully equipped kitchen, dining area, is open to the main living room. A gas and charcoal BBQ grill station is available just outside of the kitchen.

There is a king bed in the master bedroom loft, flat screen smart TV with an Apple TV unit. Access to the balcony with large lounge chairs and sofa are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the panoramic view. The cozy guest bedroom offers a queen bed and private patio. There is a modular sofa in the RockRoom Living Room that can be configured into 2 single beds or a large queen.

Both the RockRoom Living Room and the Main Living Room off the kitchen are wonderful entertaining spaces. They offer large flat screen TV's, with Netflix/Hulu access and Apple Tv unit as well as a Dvd player. There are cozy wood-burning fireplace in the main living room. Modern conveniences such as wireless internet, portable blue-tooth speaker, stereo and surround sound available as well.

There is an outdoor dining table with seating for 12 on the back patio. There are several seating areas around the property, the favorite located at a cozy gas fire table with a rustic sofa and chairs ready for a relaxing evening. The lounge chairs and a large hammock surround the pool in the back yard and they are great for stargazing at night.

Pool is closed Oct 1-May 14. Pool is not heated. During the summer months it is so wonderful to take a dip in the pool to cool off and to float around and bask in the breathtaking views.

This is a 5 acre property with incredible boulders that the Flintstones would be jealous of. The property is located off a dirt road in a quiet neighborhood near the west entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park. Although just 2 hours drive from Los Angeles you will find Joshua Tree to be worlds away.

This was the most perfectly curated home we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was impeccable. From the assortment of coffees, teas, and cocoas, to cozy blankets everywhere, a little holder for your rings, and even a sweet tray to carry your drinks to whatever of the comfortable rooms you choose to chill in, they truly thrive if everything to make it comfortable and cozy. There were games, brochures on things to do, beautiful lamps and lighting, and a selection of awesome dvds to choose from. And that’s not even talking about the sweet little gift they left us, or the view that is second to none! The hosts were kind, efficient, thoughtful, and just lovely. Joshua Tree has long been out happy place, but this stay was the best yet. So many thanks and so much love to you!

This property is set amid beautiful landscape, and was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. We enjoyed walking among the rocks, sitting on the upstairs balcony in the morning, and the cozy seating in the rock-room for family movie nights. My husband has health issues, so we can't hike like we used to, and this was a nice little slice of Joshua Tree and nature that was very accessible. There is comfortable seating placed throughout the property, so you can enjoy the lounge chairs by the pool or seats further up among the rocks. The beds were comfortable, and there is a lot of attention to detail. (Lots of blankets for sitting outside under the stars, for example.) The location was perfect-- close to town and the park. Like most JT properties it is up a dirt road, but we found it very easy to navigate in our little Prius, and well maintained compared to other roads in the area. We also really enjoyed the design touches and art placed throughout the home. I would definitely stay here again.

A Happy Place

RockHill sits in an incredible cove of rocks that define Jashua Tree. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and well appointed. Jamie was so gratious to us and went out of her way to help find a lost package. We even had Big Horn Sheep visit us one morning during breakfast!

Amazing location and unique features make this a must stay when visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Just minutes from the West Entrance, the property offers everything you need for an amazing visit - fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living areas, and plenty of boulders to explore. Rockhill Ranch - a wonderful location

This is a very special property, just outside the entrance to Joshua Tree. We watched the sun rise from bed in the morning and enjoyed reading in the 'rock room' in the evenings. The outside is secluded and imaginitevely laid out. We hope to be back.

This property was amazing! It was beautiful. Had a well stocked kitchen, games, dvds, and info on the area. Far exceeded my expectations. The house is spotless and communication with Jamie was great. Will stay again for sure!

Incredible Stay....Will Be Back

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED this house & grounds. We visited during a very unusual snow storm. It was truly magical! It is centrally located for hiking in Joshua Tree & downtown to get something to eat. Jaime was super easy to communicate with & everything was perfect. We will fo r sure be back for another stay.

Wonderful place to stay in Joshua Tree

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Joshua Tree. So close to the park yet worlds away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. They have thought of everything. Exceptional communication and hospitality. We enjoyed all the animals including the visits from the Mountain Goats and the Quail family. We watched the sunrise from the deck and all the stars at night. We cooked in the fully stocked kitchen and simply enjoyed ourselves.

Perfect - Just Perfect

We could not have asked for a better experience. Just minutes away from the NP. Very private 5 acres. Everything you could need is included. The view was spectacular. Dark skies great for Night photography. Will definitely rent again when in the area.

The property & home are exactly has pictured and is absolutely beautiful!!! The kitchen is well equipment and this was one of the cleanest properties we've ever stayed at. Perfect Joshua Tree Escape

We had an amazing time at this property. Having visited JT a few times before this location was perfect for us, it’s as if you’ve got your own National Park as your back garden. Our boys (aged 10 & 12) spent very happy days exploring and climbing the rocks. The house is very well equipped so we mostly chilled out at the property and cooked delicious food. The house is immaculate and well styled, we would have no hesitation staying here again. One of our best Vrbo experiences.

secluded, peaceful retreat on amazing property

The property is an huge expanse of rocks and perfectly placed lounge areas with hammocks, fire pits, chaise lounge beds and patios. It's quiet and peaceful with everything you need to reset. It's just a couple minute drive into the national park and a 10 minute drive onto the main drag of town to grab food or hit the famers market. The house is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you need. This was our 3rd time there and plan on coming back again soon.

Unbelievable property located minutes for Joshua Tree National Park. . First class accommodations. Host very welcoming and helpful. Pictures online do not even begin to show how great a property this is. Can’t recommend Rock Hill Ranch enough. Book it and go. You won’t want to leave.

Exceeded our expectations

This property exceeded all our expectations and we already booked it thinking it would be amazing! There is so much detail all over the house and outside it felt so special. The location couldn’t be much closer to the entrance of Joshua tree national Park, some days we went back to the house ,ate lunch and went back to the park later. Every day we had the most beautiful sunrise and sunset and were sad when it was time to leave!!

Desert Paradise!

Our trip to Joshua Tree National Park was incredible, in large part due to our stay at Rock Hill Ranch! The home was wonderful and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The highlight for us was enjoying the beautifully landscaped property....Joshua trees, Cholla cacti, stunning rock formations that were subtly backlit at night with solar lighting. We enjoyed early morning sunrises, complete with a roadrunner sighting, as well as sunsets by the outdoor fireplace that gave way to the stars of the beautiful dark sky. It truly has the feel of a private resort, and we would love to visit again!

Beautiful home

We really enjoyed this trip and this home. Jamie was very welcoming, the home was well stocked, and the grounds and home were beautiful. It's decorated in the mid century modern style, so furniture is low, in case that matters. We were there in mid December and it was rainy, snowy, and cold so we didn't get to use the outdoor area, but it was lovely, with a lot of seating, and it clearly would be a great asset to the place in different weather.

Rock Hill Ranch is a dream come true, its so unique and I have had countless wonderful experiences here over the years. Whether its swaying lazily in the hammock, taking a dip in the pool or relaxing in the cool afternoon shade of giant boulders I love the peace and calm it gives me and others.
