Esta propiedad bien equipada está decorada con buen gusto y las habitaciones son amplias, luminosas y ventiladas y están diseñadas para disfrutar de las vistas.

Un poco sobre la zona:
Tenha em atenção que as informações automáticas sobre distâncias podem ser enganosas em áreas rurais. Embora alguns locais possam parecer próximos «em linha reta», os percursos a pé são muitas vezes impraticáveis.

El tradicional pueblo de montaña de Casciana tiene solo 250 habitantes, un animado bar y una tienda básica que puede proporcionar todo lo esencial, incluido el pan fresco. El propietario del bar también puede cocinar bajo petición. Esta es una muestra de la verdadera Italia, aquí vives en un auténtico pueblo histórico ubicado entre las montañas y rodeado de maravillosas vistas.

El pueblo de Piazza al Serchio también está a solo 5 minutos en automóvil, al otro lado del río, y aquí encontrará todas las instalaciones, incluidas las tiendas locales tradicionales, un pequeño mercado los martes por la mañana cuando el pueblo cobra vida, un río y algunos bares y lugares para comer

Esta área tiene una sensación real de la verdadera Italia.

En cuanto a las principales ciudades, está Castelnuovo, la bulliciosa ciudad comercial a unos 20 minutos, la maravillosa ciudad medieval de Barga, famosa por su música, arte, catedral y excelentes restaurantes, a 45 minutos y la ciudad amurallada de Lucca, que es una visita obligada para un día, 1 hora y 15 minutos en coche de Valentina. Aquí puede pasear o andar en bicicleta por la pared intacta, hacer una tienda de diseño, ir a un concierto, disfrutar de un concierto de ópera todos los días o simplemente observar a la gente en las grandes plazas.

Más cerca ya 15 minutos en coche se encuentra la antigua fortaleza de Verrucole con sus impresionantes vistas de toda la zona y su museo interactivo. Muy cerca también encontrarás el Parque Buffardello donde podrás trepar a los árboles y tirolinas y disfrutar de diferentes retos en el bosque, aptos tanto para niños como para los adultos más aventureros.

Si lo tuyo es la aventura, también puedes visitar Parco Levegliese y probar la escalada en roca o el barranquismo a unos 45 minutos en coche, y quizás quieras combinar esto con un recorrido por las fascinantes cuevas de estalactitas otros 15 minutos.

Lovely place but not easy to locate especially at night.

Lovely views and plenty of space inside and out. Rather out of the way and so atrial in daytime is advised.

A tranquil haven.

Wonderfully spacious and well appointed house in a beautiful village location. The village bar/store was a gem and a life saver at times for stocking up on food. Lovely well tended garden and pool and plenty of garden furniture. A very relaxing week.

Lovely hilltop property with amazing views

A lovely, comfortable and well equipped property in a quiet hilltop village with stunning views all round. We enjoyed the pool, especially the kids. It was a difficult to find the property on arrival despite the instructions provided, these could have more detailed and an accompanying map would have been helpful.We ended up parking our car in the village for the week as the narrow and steep road up to the property was challenging.

A place with inspiational views

We very much enjoyed our week in Casciana. The house is superbly situated at the top of the village with inspiring views in every direction, and from the bedrooms particularly. We enjoyed breakfasts out on the patio in the morning sun, set in the well kept garden with its olive trees, while planning our walks in the Alpi Apuane and watching the passing swifts. Most of the walks we chose this time took us a few kilometres back down the valley to Castelnuovo and up into the hills from there, but always an easy and attractive drive, and we tended to shop at the well stocked supermarket on the main road not far away at Camporgiano. We found the house had everything we needed: the kitchen compact, easy to use and well equipped; and bedrooms comfortable and spacious. The weather could still be cool overnight in May, but not unpleasantly so and just an extra blanket sometimes at night did the trick. Very much looking forward to returning for another visit.

Great home

We just got back from our trip to this beautiful home. First off, it was just like the pictures. The house looks really great and the amenities are perfectly suited for a (larger) family. With 4 bedrooms (with double or two single beds) and three bathrooms, there is plenty of space to go around. The kitchen is adequate and fully loaded with all the utensils you need. The pool outside was on the small side, but it was big enough for our three youngest to spend most of the time in when we were at the home. Around the house there are plenty of sitting areas. Our favorite one was the one next to the pool overlooking hills and villages, in the morning, between 9 and 10 AM, with a good cup of coffee. The peace and quiet are just amazing. That's also the only downpart. Although there are things to do in the vincinity (please go to Lago di Gramolazzo, about a 20 minute drive by car, beautiful emerald green lake to go swimming), if you want to see some sights, you need to drive a bit (just under two hours for Pisa (must see), just over one hour for Lucca (nice town square) and over two hours to go to Florence (beautiful!)). Grocery shopping is doable at a small shop about 10 minutes out (just opposite of Davy's Bar & Restaurant, great food, reasonable prices!), but it's better to go to a superstore at about half an hour drive. The prices are better and you have more choice. PS: The wifi isn't that good, be sure to have a good data plan :) All in all, we loved it!

Esta casa es muy bonita no le falta detalle alguno, todo muy bien cuidado tanto el interior como el exterior, esta casa esta ubicada en un pueblo de montaña muy pequeñito, y para el que le guste la tranquilidad es ideal. Unas vistas espectaculares. En invierno nevado tiene que ser una pasada de bonita la zona

Wunderschönes Haus in einem kleinen Bergdorf

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus - sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Draußen überall nette Sitzgelegenheiten. Man findet immer das richtige Plätzchen für Schatten oder Sonne. Der Blick in die Berge ist atemberaubend! Der Pool ist klein, aber für uns war er völlig ausreichend. Innen gab es nur 4 Stühle, so dass wir am Regentag noch 2 Sessel aus dem Wohnzimmer holen mussten. Das könnte noch verbessert werden. Sehr liebe Begrüßung mit einem Obstkorb und Gin Tonic und Knabbereien. Die Besitzerin haben wir nicht gesehen, aber das war kein Problem. Fragen wurden aber durch die Agentur sofort beantwortet. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist tatsächlich schwierig, aber machbar (auch mit einem Audi A6...). Einziges Problem ist, dass man aufsitzen könnte. Das war schon Millimeterarbeit. Aber der Dorfplatz ist ganz nah und man muss nicht hochfahren. Der kleine Laden hat Brot und ein paar Grundnahrungsmittel, aber kein Obst und Gemüse und auch etwas undurchsichtige Öffnungszeiten. Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Absolut empfehlenswert für Ruhesuchende. Wir haben tolle Wanderungen gemacht und die nahegelegenen Seen besucht. Auch Lucca haben wir uns angeschaut.

Thank you for your review. For the benefit of future guests please note the roads are all good quality and concreted etc but they are in the mountains so of course they are bendy and narrow (although ok for 2 way traffic).

Uitstekende gastvrouw/gastheer

Mooie woning, netjes onderhouden en prachtige ligging. Schitterende vergezichten. Ook zeer aimabele buren. Klein minpuntje: reeds aangehaald door vorige huurders; laatste stukje weg (+/- 50 meter) naar woning is voor grotere wagens moeilijk. Na het uitladen aan te raden om aan het plaatselijk cafeetje (bij Maria) te parkeren. Zeker een aanrader voor wie rust zoekt en met kinderen en/of kleinkinderen een leuke vakantie wenst door te brengen. Eigenaar stond steeds paraat wanneer er zich een probleem(pje) voordeed.

Kurvige Anfahrt und dann gigantischer Blick über die Garfagnana

Wir hatten einen tolle Woche in dem geräumigen und gepflegten Haus. Es gibt mehrere Sitzgelegenheiten im schönen Garten mit kleinem, sauberen Pool und gigantischer Aussicht. Unkomplizierter und freundlicher Kontakt zu Valentina, eine neue Kaffeemaschine wurde sofort gebracht. Die Auffahrt zum Objekt ist tatsächlich etwas schwierig mit größerem Fahrzeug, wir waren froh, dass wir mit Polo angereist sind. Im Ort gibt es eine kleine Bar mit kleinem Laden, ansonsten steht das Haus in einem ruhigen und abgelegenen Dörfchen oben in den Bergen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Objekt weiterempfehlen.

Schönes Haus. Alles genau wie beschrieben. Passend für einen Urlaub an Ort und Stelle aber nicht geeignet für Städtebesichtigungen da das Dorf sehr abgelegen liegt.

Best wishes Lorraine at tuscan-retreats NB - for future guests - the property is not near cities as this is the mountainous non touristy part of Tuscany, but many guests still visit Lucca (just over and hour), Pisa 90 mins and Florence (just under 2 hours) . There are however many local towns and villages to visit and other activities too, and we do provide guests with a detailed information pack which is important to download to ensure you get the best out of the area.

Magnifique, mais...

Maison spacieuse au calme avec plusieurs terrasses selon l ensoleillement . Par contre piscine glacée, non couverte, non chauffée, impraticable pour des enfants en bas âge ( ici 5 ans ). Village tres isolé dans les montagnes a 15 minutes de lacets pour la première visite.. mais vue à couper le souffle. Magnifique !!! Concernant la maison , chouette deco . L aspect cuisine un peu spartiate : pas de plats pour four, pas de petits couteaux de cuisine, 3 verres a vins ... Mais dans l ensemble sejour très agréable.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you loved this house and those wonderful views. Sorry you found the pool to be cold - it was such a hot week weather wise I think the pool probably felt cold for this reason . We regularly have families with small children who spend nearly all day playing in the water... I will pass back your comments re the items missing from the kitchen so that they are provided for future guests and also remind the cleaning team that they need to ensure all breakages are replaced each week. I am afraid we were not aware anything was missing but both we and the owner are fully available to provide anything required. We would have rectified for you immediately... HOME WITH A VIEW

Het huis in Casciana is hoog gelegen met prachtige uitzichten. In de ochtend heb je een, gedeeltelijk tegen de zon overdekt, terras op het zuid oosten. Aan deze zijde ligt ook het zwembad vrijwel de hele dag in de zon. In de avond is er aan de andere kant van het huis een kleiner terras op het noord westen waar je fantastisch uitkijkt over de bergen naar de ondergaande zon. Het huis zelf is heerlijk koel en heeft naast de gebruikelijke verblijfruimten en dubbel sanitair 3 ruime slaapkamers met goede tweepersoons bedden. Hoewel wij een heerlijk verblijf van 10 dagen hebben gehad zijn er ook een aantal aandachtspunten en enkele punten voor verbetering. Het laatste betreft met name achterstallig onderhoud rond het zwembad: De houten vlonders rondom het bad zijn sterk aan verbetering toe enkele planken zitten los en op enkele plekken steken er schroeven uit waar je je, op blote voeten lelijk aan kunt verwonden. De bevestiging van de zwemtrap is ronduit belabberd en kan elk moment omdonderen. Het grootste minpunt betreft de oprit naar het huis, dit zeer steile en smalle pad bestaat uit kuilen en loszittend gesteente. Je moet een geoefend terreinrijder zijn om hier zonder schade aan je auto op of af te rijden. Zo wie zo is een auto en goede rijvaardigheid een must in deze streek, ander kom je nergens. Maar het enorme genieten van de natuur maakt het allemaal zeker waard.

Thank you also for your suggestions - the decking around the pool was due for replacement this year but with lockdown it was not possible so the owners just made it safe. Now that the season has ended work can be done. Sorry you found the driveway/parking area difficult - it is quite narrow and not great for wide cars or non confident drivers especially if you are not used to hills, but it is used by small lorries and tractors when work is being done, and it is fine once you have done it once! Again the small holes were going to be filled and will be sorted for next season. In terms of the approach road, it is a little narrow as it is an ancient village, but locals use it all the time so for future guests do note there is no need at all for a special car in the village or any of the area. If as a future guest you are nervous re parking there is a free and safe parking area in the little village square just down the hill - very short walk.

Wunderschön, aber auch sehr abenteuerlich

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Unseren drei Kindern und uns haben der Pool, der Garten, die Abgeschiedenheit und das Haus extrem gut gefallen. Die Auffahrt war allerdings beim Ausparken nichts für schwache Nerven - das weiß man dann auch, warum der einheimische Italiener in dieser Gegend keinen VW-Bus fährt :-) Auch wurde uns immer schnell geholfen - Lorraine hat Alles perfekt für uns gemanaged und der Besitzer sich immer sofort gekümmert. Wer Kinder hat, weiß, wie wichtig das WLAN ist, welches nach einem heftigen Unwetter plötzlich nicht mehr ging. Kurz und gut - es war wunderbar und wir sind alle perfekt erholt.

Thank you for your 5 star review! It is good to hear you enjoyed the area, views, garden and house. We are glad you loved your stay and also that the WIFI got sorted quickly! For future guests do note that the roads are bendy but buses happily use the roads as do larger vehicles when necessary, and it is rare to find a road where two cars cannot pass. The parking spot at the house does require confident driving, but there is parking a 1 minute walk away if you prefer....

Erholsamer Familienurlaub inmitten von Bergen

Wir hatten zwei sehr ruhige und erholsame Wochen in Casciana. Die Eigentümer waren sehr nett, hilfsbereit und haben sich sehr um unsere Fragen und Bedürfnisse gekümmert. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Anfahrt ist abenteuerlich, aber man wird am Ferienhaus durch die tolle Aussicht der Umgebung belohnt. Durch die Bepflanzung des Gartens ist man sehr für sich und bekommt von den Nachbarn kaum was mit. Der Pool wurde stets ausreichend geplegt und wurde von uns und besonders von unseren drei Kindern tagtäglich mehrfach benutzt. Wir können dieses Ferienhaus nur weiterempfehlen !!!

Nice house with a fantastic view

We really enjoyed our stay in this house and would like to book it again. Only thing to optimize is the clean-ness of the pool. The first days the water was unclear, but when we called the owner he came to check/adjust it next day.

Beautiful home in a beautiful spot

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful spot in a small village with 360 degree views of mountains and valleys. We loved our time there. We used it as a base to visit numerous places (Cinque Terre, Lucca, Carrara to name a few). The village is quiet, the neighbors friendly, and the home fit our needs. The pool was a nice addition to cool off after exercise or sitting in the hot sun. We would return there in a heartbeat

Sehr gut ausgestattet. Liebevoll eingerichtet.Zum Wohlfühlen.

Es war alles wie im Prospekt beschrieben. Die Besitzerin hat sich um kleine Problemen schnell gekümmert. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Haus. Ein Minus (deswegen nur 4 Sterne) war das Internet, die Funktion bzw. die Datengeschwiendigkeit war zum größten Teil unseren Aufenthaltes viel zu langsam.

NB - for future guests do note that the internet is the fastest you can get in the area and we haven't had any issues with it before, but it is probably fair to say that in the mountains, all systems will struggle with 8 adults wishing to connect devices.

Traumhaftes toskanisches Haus. gräumig, sauber, tolle Vermieter!!

Wir (2 Eltern, 2 kleine Schulkinder) haben uns in diesem Ferienhaus von Beginn an wohl gefühlt. Das wunderschöne, sehr saubere Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen 2-wöchigen Urlaub benötigt (bequeme Betten incl.Bettwäsche, sämtl.Küchenutensilien incl.diverser Kaffeemaschinen, für die Ankunft/ersten Tage wird man sogar mit Toilettenpapier, Küchenrolle, Seife, Gewürzen,...versorgt- einfach absolut top! Die Vermieter machen einem die Ankunft wirklich zum Vergnügen, weil sie an alles denken!). Eine ausführliche Beschreibung im Haus lässt keine Fragen offen. Der Pool ist immer sauber (Dank täglichem, sehr dezentem Pooldienst) war aber natürlich dann Anfang September schon etwas frisch ;-) . Die Stimmung auf dem Berg vor allem bei Sonnenuntergang auf den Chillmöbeln der zweiten Terrasse oder mit Blick auf Olivenbäume auf der Hauptterrasse ist wirklich unbeschreiblich schön. Die Fotos werden dem gar nicht gerecht- es ist noch viiiiiiel schöner in Echt!! Wenn man Ruhe und Entspannung sucht (jedoch mit allem modernen Comfort!), aber gleichzeitig eine Prise italienisches Lebensgefühl erleben möchte, ist man hier genau richtig! Nach einer Woche gibt es frische Handtücher von den super-sympathischen jungen Vermietern Valentina und Gianluca gebracht. Die Nachbarn Ina und ihr Mann sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit aber nicht aufdringlich und haben auf Wunsch wertvolle Tipps parat. Was man wissen muss: für größere Einkäufe oder Ausflüge zuckelt man schon mind. 45Min. über die Serpentinen ins Tal (Pisa: 1,5h, Florenz: 2,5h, Lucca: gute Stunde,...). Wenn man darauf eingestellt ist, ist das aber kein Problem! Man deckt sich einfach ein und genießt dann nur noch Haus und Pool :-) Wir sind restlos begeistert und sehr erholt!!! Lorraine at tuscan-retreats NB - for future guests, there is a large supermarket for all your requirements in Castelnuovo which is a 20 minute drive, although the review is correct that the hypermarket (with clothing and electronics too ) is further.

Herrlich italienisches Landleben

Das Haus ist superschön mitten im Ort gelegen, toller Ausblick. Camporgiano ist ein typisch italienisches Bergdörfchen. Es gibt keinen Durchgangsverkehr. Nette Nachbarn drumherum. Das Haus selbst ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der Garten ist toll in Schuss und komplett umfriedet. Der Pool verschafft die notwendige Abkühlung und die Kinder hatten super Badespaß. Pool-Service kommt täglich außer So in aller Frühe und kümmert sich um Pool und Garten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder. Im Dorf hats einen kleinen Laden, wo man eigentlich fast alles bekommt oder es wird bestellt. Ansonsten muß man mit dem Auto runter ins Tal. Will man aber eigentlich nicht, weils oben in Camporgiano so idyllisch und schön ist. Man kann in der Gegend auch gute Ausflüge mit den Kindern machen, dafür sind aber i.d.R. 30-60min Fahrzeit einzuplanen. Herrlich italienisches Landleben abseits von großen Touri-Rummel.
