About this property

Warm and accessible coastal cottage with sustainable design — coming soon

High levels of insulation, underfloor heating from an air-source heat pump, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and triple-glazed windows ensure excellent comfort year-round. Solar PV and battery storage reduce the property’s carbon footprint.

The cottage will be set up for two guests, with provision for a third via a sofa bed in the open-plan living area. Dogs will be welcome and there are flat coastal walks from the door. While finishing touches are ongoing, the property will be ready to welcome guests soon.

About the host

This has been our third total renovation, and although there are many similarities between the 3, we believe this is our best, having learnt from each one! We bought it as a derelict cottage, so that we could use it's garden to build an extension on our own house. For a long time the cottage was a glorified storage space as well as saving us from hiring a portaloo for the builders!

What makes this property unique

From the outside, 2 Seatown is a traditional fisherman's cottage. From the inside, it is sleek, spacious, with all mod cons, designed to be accessible with a very low carbon footprint. It has a stunning location, with views over the river towards the main Esplanade. Easily walking distance, yet quiet and secluded.
