Worst experience possible. House is a disaster. Host is invisible.
This is an old “traditional” house. The size and location are as described. What is not mentioned is that the house is 200m away from the Albufeira strip, meaning all night you can here the loud music from bars and clubs. The house overall is in a poor condition: furniture falling apart, beds assembled with ropes, electric sockets hanging loose, floor ceramic tiles broken, badly repaired with chips coming loose, doors, windows not well closing, we had to open all windows and doors for 2 days and put air fresheners in all rooms to reduce the old, humid house smell. The only reasonable item in this location is the pool. However tiles are cracked around the pool (some with sharp edges), property is advertised as private however share openly the garden/house terrace side with another villa. The host “welcomed” us inside, showed us the kitchen (only) and when we observed all the issues and shared our dissatisfaction she left immediately and said she will talk to the owner. We never saw her again during the two weeks we stayed there. We contacted Allure Villas, the real estate company, managing the house for the owner. We sent photos and explained and asked for a replacement location. She said this is impossible however she said she would offer us a compensation for our troubles we refused the compensation proposal and asked at least for the broken items to be replaced. Nothing was done. Do not go there. We filed an official complaint at the Consumer Protection office in Albufeira.
