Beautiful property, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The property itself was beautiful, with one bedroom, the kitchen, and the living room extremely modern and recently renovated. This unit is on the third story, so take that into consideration if you, or someone you are traveling with, might not be able to handle walking up and down two steep flights of stairs.

The location is absolutely perfect. It is in a nice neighborhood, and within walking distance of tons of great restaurants and shops, and just minutes from tons of historical sites and the heart of Philly.

Jeanne, the host, was extremely helpful from the moment we booked our stay; offering suggestions, and answering any and all questions/concerns immediately. Please consider booking - you will definitely not regret the decision!

It is a large space. The beds were comfortable. It’s a nice place and Jeann is quite responsive. We had issues with WiFi but other then that enjoyed everything.

Location! Spacious! Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here! We visited Friday to Monday. The proximity to so many sights, restaurants, museums, National Parks etc., was perfect. We only took 2 hired cars. The rest, we walked, and the last day we drove. We had a car which we easily parked in a garage just 2 blocks away. It stayed there the entire long weekend. As per other reviews, street parking was not easily found by us. Coffee shops, food, etc. are a few blocks away. There is also a grocery store less than a block away.

It is very spacious. The beds are very comfortable, bedding and pillows were cozy. Couches were cozy, I'd suggest a larger floor rug, soft pillows, and a coffee table or ottoman. Bathrooms were large and it was nice having two full baths, especially sharing space with 4 women. The kitchen was well equipped, lovely and there were even some groceries available, it was a very "home-away" nice touch.

I agree with other reviewers, wear thick socks or slippers. (Maybe putting non-skid rugs down might be an option over the spots on the floor that are a bit wonky/bendy) honestly wearing slippers solved that issue and didn't bother any of us. It's from the 1700's and added to the charm.

I'd suggest a full length mirror and mirrors in the bedrooms. Getting ready in the morning, we kept shifting around the bathrooms trying to get to a well lit clear mirror. I'd also suggest some simple decor on the walls, just to make it feel a bit more "home-away". Maybe simple black and white photos of Philadelphia.

Lastly, Jeanne could not have been more responsive! She was amazing to work with, kind, thoughtful, and attentive to my questions before the trip and during. She even offered to assist with orchestrating a surprise. She was extremely accommodating. I hope to stay here again and highly recommend!
