Welcome to the Rock 'n' Roll Retreat — a one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Porthcawl, dressed head to toe in a love letter to the golden age of rock 'n' roll. Red floors, a vintage jukebox as its centrepiece, framed legends across the walls, little guitars, retro furniture and a glowing neon sign over the bed. A life-size figure of the King himself greets you at the top of the stairs. If you love a space with real character — and a sea view — this one's hard to beat.

The space
It comfortably sleeps two, making it a brilliant bolthole for a couple, a weekend away, or anyone visiting Porthcawl for the festivals, the beaches or the golf.

Inside you'll find:

- An open-plan living room and kitchen, fully equipped for self-catering (oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle and coffee machine).
- A double bedroom with its own TV, leading through to a full bathroom with a bath.
- A second, compact shower room with WC by the entrance — handy for two.
- A large smart TV in the living room plus a TV in the bedroom, fast Wi-Fi throughout, gas central heating, hairdryer, iron, fresh towels and toiletries to start you off.
- A sea view to enjoy with your morning coffee.

A note on the jukebox: it's a gorgeous feature piece and part of the décor — it's there to be admired rather than played.

The neighbourhood

You're right in the centre of Porthcawl, steps from the seafront, restaurants, pubs and shops. The beaches at Rest Bay and Coney Beach, the harbour and the Esplanade are all an easy walk, and Royal Porthcawl Golf Club is a short drive. In late summer the town comes alive for its world-famous Elvis Festival — and you're right in the middle of it.

Getting around

Easy on foot — most of Porthcawl is walkable from the door. On-street parking is available nearby, plus a public car park about 50 yards away (around £3 per day). Cardiff and the M4 are roughly 30 minutes by car.

Guest access
The whole apartment is yours. Self check-in, any time after 4pm — no need to meet anyone. We'll send your codes before arrival: a keybox (with the key to the main front door) and a door code for the flat itself.

Other things to note
We're directly above a popular bar and restaurant. On weekend evenings (Fri–Sun) there's live music downstairs, so expect some noise in the flat until around 11pm — we think it's a plus, so pop down and enjoy it: good food, drinks and atmosphere right beneath you. It's a lively, central spot — perfect if you're out making the most of Porthcawl, and less suited to very light sleepers or early bedtimes.

The apartment is on the first floor, reached by an internal staircase (no lift). Self check-in via keybox and door code. No parties or events, no smoking, no pets. Minimum two nights.
