My husband has owned this house for a long time. I moved in next door when I relocated to Atlanta. We met and fell in love. Now we have four children who are all teenagers. This house is special to us and we are happy to share it with our guests.
Leigh purchased this House in 1990
Why Leigh chose Brookwood
Brookwood stands as a residential oasis surrounded by the rapidly changing city of Atlanta. In many ways it is an ideal urban neighborhood that reflects neighborhood and architectural design and its evolution for more than 80 years. The neighborhood is located at the southernmost tip of the Buckhead Community of Atlanta. It is bordered by: I-75 and Loring Heights on the southwest I-85 on the southeast Peachtree Road and Brookwood Hills on the east Collier on the north BeltLine rail corridor at the far west Brookwood offers convenience and walkability in an urban setting. Brookwood is convenient to Piedmont Hospital, Ardmore Park, the Beltline Trail as well as the shops and restaurants of Midtown. It’s also just minutes away from Buckhead, Atlantic Station, and Virginia Highlands. This location also provides a short commute to Downtown Atlanta and several professional sports venues.
What makes this House unique
The home offers a private driveway to park if guests are renting a car or driving themselves in Atlanta. Uber and Lyft are always the most preferred methods of transportation in Atlanta. From the home, and Uber or Lyft take on average 5 minutes to arrive. You can get to most places in the city for less than $10 (do your best to avoid price surges during rush hours (7-9AM, 4-6PM). MARTA bus stop is only one block away on Peachtree Rd. The bus can be taken to any of the MARTA train stops. The MARTA Arts Station (next to the High Museum) is only a mile away and an easy walk on pretty days.

Great Location and beautiful house
Nice house, nice street, so close to downtown. Such a fast response when any question was asked. I will for sure be using this location the net time I am in Atlanta!
Convenient with all the Amenities
The house was clean and comfortable when we arrived and we had all that we needed for our stay. We were able to walk to Starbucks and get in and around the city in no time. A great option for a group get-together.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to host you on your next visit to Atlanta.
Very clean & comfortable.
My daughter & three daughters-law, along with myself, thoroughly enjoyed staying at your house for four days. We all came from various states, Alabama, Texas, Arizona & Michigan for a short time together and your house made it much more comfortable than hotel rooms. Only a twenty minute drive from the airport & close to a mall & other activities. The only criticism we have is that the bedrooms have beautiful sheer curtains, but no blinds allowing privacy except in the daytime.
Beautiful property in an excellent location!
This property was perfect for our family on a quick visit to Atlanta. The property is much larger than it appears from the street and there is ample parking available on the long driveway. Conveniently located just off of Peachtree St. and north of the Midtown/Buckhead border, it was easy to get to grocery stores, restaurants and shopping by car and was also in a safe neighborhood to walk. My children especially enjoyed playing with the games and puzzles provided in the roomy den, and we found it especially convenient to have access to a fully-stocked kitchen during our stay. While we didn't take advantage of the grill, it was great to relax on the deck & watch the kids play in the huge back yard below. Two observations to note about the property - 1) Not all of the windows on the lower level have blinds- which is great for letting in natural light into the kitchen & lower level bedroom, but if you're obsessive about privacy, be forewarned... 2) The neighborhood is just around the corner from the Atlanta AMTRAK station, so you can hear the train come through daily each morning and evening (which adds to the charm of a neighborhood oasis adjacent to an urban area)... Overall, this was a great experience and would definitely book at this location again the next time that we're in town.
Near Atlantic Station filled with shopping and many restaurants. Property in within short walking distance to restaurants, bars and hospital. SCAD, the High Museum of Art, Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Woodruff Art Center are all within 2 miles. The house is centrally located to Buckhead or downtown right off of I75/I85 nestled in a quiet neighborhood. A short 10-15 minute car ride from Lenox or Phipps shopping malls in Buckhead or in the same time you could be downtown at the Mercedes Benz stadium, CNN, Georgia Aquarium, Coke Museum, Martin Luther King Jr. Center, Jimmy Carter Presidential Museum, Zoo Atlanta or College Football Hall of Fame. These are just a few of the many options in Atlanta.
