Why Susanne Fyffe chose Bozman
Susanne's parents have been in the area for over 40 years. It has the nautical exposure, closeness, and accessibility to a quaint small town, St Michael's, with its wonderful restaurants, fun bars, shopping, great museums, entertainment, sailing opportunities and many excuses to get out on the water. We enjoy nature and the always changing wildlife. The mixture of the woods and the open space and the dock provide opportunities for all kinds of activities from crabbing, to fishing and catching fireflies.
What makes this House unique
From the entry down the long driveway to the circular drive, the charm, and open floor plan of the spacious house offers 4 bedrooms lots of open space and an extensive screen porch overlooking the water. You can have a good cup of coffee and long hours reading and relaxing or boating and crabbing. We love cocktails at sunset and never want to leave. Every room of the house has a stunning view!

Wedding weekend for mother of the bride and family
This was the "home base" for the mother of the bride and her close family during the semi-destination wedding weekend. The way the house was situated- in such a peaceful setting and quiet area, it ended up being a retreat during the hectic weekend. Everyone was comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The kitchen was perfect for several people to make last minute items for the rehearsal and wedding. Supplies and essentials were perfect! Thank you for sharing your home!
Thank you for the nice review. So glad you liked it.
Absolutely stunning views. A real getaway yet so close to town!
Susanne was so responsive with any questions we had. Her house was beautiful and her welcome book had so many great suggestions on things to do in town. If going into town wasn’t in the plans there are so many games and water activities available at the house. It was too cold and windy for a paddle but we would definitely come back when it’s a bit warmer! Thank you for everything Susanne!
Thank you for the nice comments, and sorry it was chilly. Please plan another get away next summer.
Great Weekend on the Water
Two couples enjoyed a relaxing weekend eating seafood, kayaking and a great view of the water. The house is very comfortable and we loved the open concept first floor. Should have stayed longer!
Lovely renovated home in a beautiful peaceful setting.
We enjoyed our long weekend at this beautifully appointed home on the Eastern Shore. It was very comfortable for 8 adults and the kitchen and living spaces were spacious and nicely furnished. We especially enjoyed the large yard where we played croquet and bocce ball. It was great to be able to come by boat and visit nearby Oxford by water. St. Michaels is just a short drive away, where we enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner and all that this quaint Eastern Shore town has to offer. We'd love to return!
Thank you very much for the nice review.
Very nice home close to St. Michaels.
Had a great 2 night stay with college roommates. Beautifully renovated interior with fabulous views. Recommend easier clearing and access for launching kayaks.
This home is beautiful and has everything you need to sit back, relax and enjoy time by the bay!
We loved our time here! This lovely home is set in a beautiful location. We were able to easily get into St Michaels for amazing seafood, shopping, great coffee, ice cream and boat watching. The house itself is perfect! The views are amazing and we loved kayaking and fishing from the private dock. We had everything we needed! We highly recommend this beautiful home! :)
Oh my goodness. Thank you. Your write up is sooo nice. I am glad you enjoyed it.
If you did see anything we could do to improve it...Please let me know.
St Michaels is a quaint small Eastern Shore town. It has lots of boutique shopping alternatives, bars, restaurants, many boating options, the maritime museum, winery, distillery and a brewery (all within walking distance of each other), a library, thrift shop, grocery store and antique shops. You can golf, sail and play tennis. The biking is great (all flat) and there are great day trips to nearby Oxford, Easton, and Thighlman Island.
Lowes Wharf and Marina in Sherwood has a fun bar with tiki atmosphere and is a great place for a beer and some apps around sunset. http://www.loweswharf.com/ It is a few miles past the turn off for Bozman-Neavitt Road. The sign at the main road is pretty small so pay attention to your i-phone directions.
Chesapeake Landing is a restaurant/bar about a ½ mile past the Bozman-Neavitt Road turn off to the house. It is the closest “establishment.” Old-fashioned American eatery featuring seafood dishes, steak & chicken, plus a seafood market. They have wine and beer in a “store” area at the front of the restaurant where you can also order food to go – sandwiches and more. We like to grab a salad and bottle of wine to augment the meals we cook at the house. The bar is cozy too. http://www.chesapeakelandingrestaurant.com/
In town there are lots of option for food, drinks and shopping.
We like to have a glass of wine on the lawn at the Inn at Perry Cabin. Get your beverage of choice at Purser’s Pub and head out to the Adirondack Chairs overlooking the harbor. https://www.belmond.com/hotels/north-america/usa/md/st-michaels/inn-at-perry-cabin/dining
Awful Arthur’s has a neat small bar (5 stools, 2 high tops) at the back where you can watch them shuck your oysters and enjoy a chat with the local staff. They also have outside and inside dining. Food is great. https://awfularthursusa.com/
If you are into beer, Eastern Shore Brewing at the east end of town is a must. The tasting room is a fun spot, great beer. http://www.easternshorebrewing.com/ There also is the immediacy of the St. Michaels Winery http://www.st-michaels-winery.com/ - we are not a big fan of the wine, but the spot is neat. We have not been to Great Shoals yet – another wine tasting option - https://www.greatshoalscellars.com/ Lastly, in this section would be the distillery – Lyon Distillery Tasting Room is just around the corner from the winery on S. Talbot Street. http://lyondistilling.com/visit-the-distillery/
Our favorite place to eat is Limoncello http://limoncellostmichaels.com/ We have always had great food and service.
Other options at Ava’s for some lighter fare(https://avaspizzeria.com/ ) – although they do have a full menu and fun backyard garden area. Theo’s is also good – we enjoy eating at the bar or in the bar area – back rooms are a little off for our liking. (http://theossteakhouse.com/)
For water front dining or drinks
• Foxy’s – more of a bar than a place to eat. Outside and right on the dock. https://www.foxysharborgrille.com/
• The Lighthouse – there is a deck right on the dock, inside bar with big windows looking at the harbor and an upstairs bar/dining areas (other than the main floor bar and dining area) http://www.lighthouseoysterbarandgrill.com/menu/
• The Crab Claw - great classic place for crabs and beer right on the harbor. Probably the best place for crabs to be picked in town. http://thecrabclaw.com/
• Harbour Inn has a water side bar that can be good. Bit of a walk to get to because of the harbor and can be hit or miss with the crowd (sometime none). If you hit it right – good place to catch sunset. https://harbourinn.com/restaurants/harbourlightsrestaurant/
For groceries – there is Grawl’s on Highway 33 just before you reach heart of St. Michaels. Full line of everything you need food wise and full liquor, wine and beer assortment. Only liquor store in town.
